Struggles: using a bottle. We have 1 month to make this work before I'm back to work.
Questions/concerns: any tricks to make a kid take a bottle? DS just ate whatever we put in his mouth. This one seems to be a little pickier.
Feeding goals: make it to a year
GTKY: 2. I like how pretty the snow is right after it falls. 2. After a snowstorm, there's usually a sunny day that follows up the storm. The sun shines on the snow and everything seems so bright. 3. This doesn't happen often but I love thunder snow! There's something just so cool about it!

How old is LO? 9 weeks Wednesday
What is working well for you this week? This is one area we haven't had an issue with.
What are you struggling with this week? I'm ready for her to start spacing these feedings out a bit. She is still consistently eating every two hours so even when she's going down immediately afterwards at night (which I appreciate) I would love some long stretches of sleep for myself !
Questions/concerns? After one success she's refusing a bottle again. I'm sick of wasting breastmilk and money on buying different kinds of bottles. I might just stop trying.
Have you set or adjusted any feeding goals? I'm not sure if I've ever talked about this, but I wasn't set on breastfeeding while pregnant. I was actually positive that I would try, it would go terribly, and we would FF. That was a decision both H and I were content and happy with, but then BF has gone so smoothly. Not a single issue since she was born. I'm so very thankful because it was horrific when my milk came in and wouldn't dry up after my loss. So...LSS I'll do it as long as I can or she wants with a minimum target of a year. We will want to eventually TFAS so I'm not sure if we'll want/need to wean at that point to get my cycles back in order.
GTKY: The excuse to cuddle under some blankets and start a fire.
sophiegrace of course everyone is different, but I didn't need to wean to get my cycle back/get pregnant.
Thank you for letting me know! That would be really nice, although I wouldn't mind a few more months without a period!
I also didn't need to wean to get pregnant again. I didn't get my period until DS was 10 months old, and he had been STTN for 3+ months by then. I didn't ovulate my first PP cycle and then D was conceived on the 3rd one after that. I was still nursing DS the whole time in between, up until almost the end of first tri! Everyone is different of course but your body might surprise you.
tjanca22 you may have tried this but are you experimenting with different bottle brands?? Maybe LO is just picky whereas your DS wasn't?
Have only tried one so far and just added Tommee Tippee and the First Years Breastflow to the amazon cart tonight. I guess I'm livin on a dream that she'd get used to it and I was really hoping I wouldn't need to buy new bottles since we have tons of Avent ones. Baby 1, Mom 0 😕

I'm bumping this.
Anyone here have a baby that just didn't take a bottle? Am I crazy for getting ready to just give up? We try daily. Every tip and trick in the book and it only results in tears and wasted BM.
Just don't see the point anymore. I think the only thing I worry about is a tougher transition to a straw cup, but thats another battle for another day.
FWIW I relate her bottle/pacifier aversion to all the medicine she's been on. Ever since she's hit 10 lbs the size of the doses have gone up big time and that's the exact time she started not even tolerating us trying to put something that was not my nipple in her mouth.
