What are your health and/or fitness goals? 1. To lose the rest of the weight I gained this pregnancy (25lbs). 2. Lose another 20lbs. 3. Run another half marathon in May.
What is your plan to accomplish your goals? Started Whole30 yesterday. Once I get the ok at my 6 week appointment on the 12th I'll start doing some work out videos at home. As soon as I can fit back into my workout clothes I'll start running again.
What have you been successful with so far? I didn't cheat on day 1 of W30.
What part of your plan are you struggling with? Nothing so far.
What can we do to help/support you? I always need lots of encouragement and motivation. I get frustrated when things don't go as quickly as I'd like and I tend to give up easily.
What are your health/fitness goals? Oh boy... Short term: -Lift weights 5 days a week -15 minutes of cardio daily -row at least once a week -get outside with M on decent weather days Long term: -all the short term goals at increasing difficulty and times -back down to the weight I was when I got married -135 lb bench press/225 lb squat/250lb deadlift -sub 2:00/500m for at least 20 minutes on the rower
What have you been successful with so far? -I got 16 minutes on the rower yesterday, 2:44.8/500 m -I'm averaging that Jamie Eason 15 minute cardio thing every other day -got three weight work outs in last week
What are you struggling with? I was so happy with my body for the first month or so after birth, but now it's just paused and I'm starting to really hate how I look. I'll get there, just wish it would happen faster.
What can we do to help/support you? I'd like to +1 everything danib said. Motivation and accountability.
ETA: (as though this needs to be longer) I'm attempting to eat healthy, but not going to count or depend on macros until I can be off this MSPI diet. I can't restrict myself anymore and most of my go to snacks and protein sources aren't able to be eaten. This obviously has a lot to do with my ability to lose fat/gain muscle.
What are your health and/or fitness goals? Lose the last 10 lbs of baby weight and at least an additional 10, ideally an additional 20. But I'm setting small goals to start and will add more once I reach them. I also really want to start running again and should be able to do it this time since my nanny will be here--no excuses! If that goes well I'd like to do a half marathon in the fall.
What is your plan to accomplish your goals? As soon as I'm cleared I want to start exercising at leaat 10-15 minutes a day, similar to what danib does with mini workouts. And do cardio at least 3 days a week.
What have you been successful with so far? Nothing really lol...not exercising yet and my diet has been far from healthy the past few weeks.
What part of your plan are you struggling with? Just need to get started!
What can we do to help/support you? I think check ins here will be immensely helpful to keep me motivated and accountable.
I think I've said it before, but I am super jealous you have a nanny dashook. A half in the fall sounds like a great goal.
I know, we're really lucky. We were headed down that road anyway since it would have cost us at least the same, if not a little more, to have two in daycare, and this gives us greater flexibility with hours too. (If we end up having another kid or two we're definitely going full au pair.)
But our current nanny came on full time earlier when DS's daycare closed unexpectedly in September. It would have obviously been easier on us financially if I just cared for both kids myself until my leave is over but then we'd have risked losing her. So I figure make the most of it for the next few months!
What are your health and/or fitness goals? I want to focus on getting back into a regular exercise routine ~4x week. I'd love to say I'm going to lose x pounds but I think I'll be more successful if I focus on the habit and the pounds will come eventually. My focus is heart health, setting a good example for my kids, and taking time to make myself a priority.
What is your plan to accomplish your gols? Set realistic goals for myself. I'm starting with Piyo dvds to get some strength back. I'd like to start running in the spring when the weather is nice enough to run outside.
What have you been successful with so far? Day 1 workout complete!
What paet if your plan are you struggling with? I also get frustrated and tend to give up easily if I don't see the results I want. I'm hoping that focusing on the habit itself will take off some of the unnecessary pressure I put on myself.
What can we do to help/support you? Keep posting the check ins! I'll need the support, especially when I go back to work.

What are your health and/or fitness goals? Tone up! I am happy with my weight but everything is just so weak/loose right now. Also getting regular workouts to help with stress/mental health.
What is your plan to accomplish your gols? Yoga class 2-3x/week (minimum once on a weekday evening, once on the weekend) . When warm enough get outside with the boys for a walk in the stroller or to play outside. Continue babywearing while doing chores.
What have you been successful with so far? Went to my first postpartum yoga class last night. Have been regularly doing postpartum yoga at home using YouTube videos.
What paet if your plan are you struggling with? It has been much more difficult with two kids! I used to regularly workout during nap and now that plan is shot. Might look into something like Daily Burn (has anyone used this?) for at home workouts and just make my husband take the kids for 30 minutes as soon as he gets home.
What can we do to help/support you?Keeping this thread going will hopefully help keep me accountable!
What are your health and/or fitness goals? I'm ok with my weight, only 12 lbs over pre-preg weight and that was low for me. But I am incredibly weak and have no endurance. I should limit my sugar intake because I love sugar. Start baby and me yoga 3x/wk. In the spring, start running 3-5x/wk (15-25 mi/wk). Run a race in 2017 (I'm willing to accept a 5k, but would really like to do a half marathon since I have until October for mat leave)
What is your plan to accomplish your gols? I already bought the yoga pass. I need to research and buy a jogging stroller Then I'll look into races.
What have you been successful with so far? Bought my yoga pass.
What part of your plan are you struggling with? Actually getting to the yoga studio Resisting sweets (this is a forever weakness)
What can we do to help/support you? I just want to keep checking in. I'll feel like I'm held responsible to report my successes.
So I shovelled the base of the driveway this morning. Part of me feels like that counts as my workout and the other part of me feels I am just trying to get out of exercising today. I am my own worst enemy.
@badwolf321 I'm gluten free and I like some of Iowa Girl Eats recipes from her blog - she is gf now. There was a white chili that I want to make again.
Otherwise I don't really do recipes, lots of sauteed or roasted veggies with a protein..Not too creative. Paleo recipes will be on social media this month I bet with lots of people doing whole30, and they are inherently gf.
What are your health and/or fitness goals? -Go to a fitness class at the rec center 1x per week -walk 2 miles a day or at least 10 miles per week. -cut down on sugar and fats -work on the DR -ultimately lose 20lbs this year
What is your plan to accomplish your gols? DH or my mom will watch the girls so I can go to the class. I'm walking 1 mile 2x a day for this month. Meal planning and making sure we don't have sweets in the house, that way I have to go get sugar which I'm not super motivated to do with 2 kids. Create a DR recovery schedule.
What have you been successful with so far? I walked over 10 miles last week.
What part if your plan are you struggling with? The food. I hate how I look right now. I still am looking about 4 months pregnant. The one time I was out without the girls someone asked me when I was due. I also feel like I don't take care of Lillian the way I'd like and I definitely don't hold Lilah as much as I held Lillian. It makes me feel awful. And when I feel depressed, I eat. Not sure what to do about all of that.
What can we do to help/support you? Remind me that this all takes time and everyone is different. Hold me accountable for my exercise goals.
So I rage-exercised today. Wrapped up H and started shoveling. I widened the driveway by a good 2 feet (so the cars will fit better when DH gets home Friday). This entailed an hour of not only shovelling, but also breaking up a few feet of compacted snow and ice (from the plow). I'm sweaty and expect to be really sore later.
What has everyone else done?? Holding you accountable!
I'm about to go out to the mall with D and lug her around in her carseat--does that count?

Are you carrying the carseat around the mall?! I either ditch the carseat and use a carrier or pop it in a stroller. That thing kills my back.

I walked a mile yesterday and 3/4 the day before. 4 total this week. It's gotten cold again and is supposed to hover around freezing the next two days. So...I might try for 10 again next week. Eating, I've done well since going to the store. I already saw a drop on the scale. Yay.
I started yoga and was able to participate in at least half, probably 2/3 of the class! (The rest of the time tending to E). It was super windy and 20* so I drove there. But on better days I can walk, about 45 min total.
Tonight after DS is in bed my goal is to do a workout DVD. Just a short 20-30 minute one. This coincides with D's fussy period though so if it doesn't happen I'm not going to beat myself up. I'll just wear her and do some squats and lunges and calf raises around the house instead.

I'm finally getting back to Whole30 today now that my stomach feels better. My stomach is still unsure of meat and spice, so im trying to keep things boring and bland.
I stayed up a few minutes extra last night and made my meal plan for week 1 of my challenge, which starts Monday. Three meals and 2 snacks a day; no calorie counting, just balanced days full of whole foods and very minimal added sugar. I'm going shopping tomorrow for the rest of what I need. I'm excited!
Today I took 7000 steps according to my phone and DH and I took a 1.33 mile walk around the neighborhood. Tomorrow we plan to walk more since it will be a bit warmer.
