I've been up since 5:30 because clearly my kid wants me to die. I dressed him just now and am laughing at the too tight shirt and his fat belly. Guess it's time to cycle clothes again. It's DHs Birthday today so it's yummy enchiladas for dinner and his favorite brownies. He better appreciate that this will probably take me alllllll day.

Happy birthday to your H, kellybenelly83! Hope you get a good nap in for both of you.
X has been in bed (well, 2 wake ups but still) over 12 hours now. He's usually up by 11 hours. I got to eat breakfast and actually drink coffee while it's hot!
I had a spend 50 save 15 coupon for kohls and wanted to use that with a gift card I had gotten for Christmas and that would have left me with like $10 left (even though I really shouldn't be spending any; we've got like 2k in bills coming out this week). But then my mom texted me saying she had $35 in kohls cash she wasn't going to use and offered it to me. So I got a cardigan, pair of underwear and a top totally FREE! Even had a buck to spare. Thanks mom!!
Mallory started standing last night for 3-4 seconds!
I have jury duty the first full week in February. I requested a postponement until May because 1) breastfeeding and 2) my dad snowplows in the winter and would take the girls if weather was clear, but can't predict that, and my mom work s at a school so she can't until school is out. My sister is willing but it would mean leaving the house at 6am to get the girls to her and then deal with traffic and parking in order to make it on time. Hopefully they approve it, but I have a feeling they won't. It's stressing me out.

I was supposed to have jury duty my last week of maternity leave and I wrote to be excused saying I was breastfeeding and would need breaks to either pump or go feed my child. I got a letter back saying I was excused.

morning ladies. early morning here (for us) already down for 1st nap of the day. got tons of stuff done after G went to Bed last night but then couldn't shut my brain off to go to sleep. so stayed up another couple hours doing stuff. Got budgeting for this year figured out(mat leave payments are over end of January) i had a little panic that i might have to go back to work after all, but realized I entered a number in the calculator wrong and we are more than good for me to keep staying at home even without the mat leave payments. I will be looking for something to do once G goes to bed at night (around 730/8) but that will just go right into savings.
kelle017, my mom got out of jury duty last year because i was in labour and she lives 8h away, she told them and the judge wrote her a note so she didn't have to do it. hopefully they understand your situation.
Just another day at home over here 🙄 I'm bored of the lack of food we have, I really should have went to the grocery store this weekend. What's everyone making this week? I need some ideas.
I'm about done accumulating milk. Normally DD eats one side first thing in the morning and I pump off the other side and stash it. Since my supply has been dipping slowly, I am going to have her nurse both sides in the morning. During the day we always nurse both sides. I have replaced her 4:00 afternoon session with a bottle now for the last week. This weekend I'll probably replace another day session. She's awfully excited when she sees her bottle so I think she'll do just fine with weaning. I'll worry about bottle weaning when we're totally off the boob.
Morning! H is at preschool and I'm hanging out at home for a couple more minutes until we have to leave to go to the pedi for S. I'm pretty sure she has an EI. Her temp has pretty consistently been 101.7, even with the Motrin it still is over 101. Then after we get back I'm watching my nephew. I will have to switch cars with my sister because I can't fit 3 car seats in mine. I hope naptime isn't a shit show.

I'm done with brownies and my kitchen isn't a total disaster so I'm ahead of my game a bit. Ryan slept an hour and fifteen so that was decent. But now it's freezing raining so I don't want to go for a walk because super dangerous.

Sorry S isn't feeling well trtlcrzy. Hope she gets better soon!
It's day one back at work for me, and I'm desperately wishing I could have another week of vacation to deep clean my house. I'm so happy we were able to get the downstairs painted, but there is just never enough time to do all of the things I want/need to do. I got DH on board to start a daily 15 minute declutter/organization challenge this year, so hopefully that will be a good way to sort through all our junk on a realistic schedule.

When you guys go on walks, what's your temp? Are you guys below zero wind chill like we are?
Yesterday I talked to my friend on the phone for quite a while, the one who lives in Denver. She's pregnant and close to having the baby. She told me she had an appointment today and was having her membranes stripped. She just called and said she went into her appt and she's at a 4-5 and ready to pop so he didn't have to do much for stripping, figures she'll be heading into the hospital today.
The same thing happened with her last baby. She discovered she was at a 4 (both times like 3 weeks early) and water broke that day and she delivered quickly med free shortly after getting to the hospital. No tears and felt amazing afterward. Looks like she's heading down the same path. I'm so jealous. At a 4-5 I had already been in very active horrible contractions labor. She's got nothin.

Yup, we have a super warm sack for Ryan and a weather shield for snow or wind to cut the chill for him, but I limit him to about -15. If I didn't have him I'd walk the dogs in almost anything but freezing rain. We generally only miss walks on days where it's -30 or colder or blizzard and we can't physically walk far.

You are amazing (and also crazy, lol). We don't go for walks if it's below 30. Even below 40, it's pretty rare.

I took the girls for a walk the other day. They were bundled up as was I and it was high 20's.

I got a desperately needed haircut today. Apparently the last time I got a haircut was July 2013. The woman signing me in about had a heart attack when I told her that date wasn't an error in my account. I feel light-headed now. In a good way.
Double EI confirmed. More omnicef which gave her a terrible rash/diarrhea last time so I'm being proactive with the probiotics and diaper cream. After her appt we stopped at target to pick up the script. I got back home and then switched my car seats to my sister's car. It's about 10 degrees outside so my legs and fingers were numb by the time I was done. Then after I got everything situated I had to put my nephew in the far back so I went in through the hatch to put him in. Getting out of the car I slipped on my driveway and fell on my ass. So now it hurts really bad. Nephew is sleeping, H will be next and then S.

Brr that's brave. Usually under 0 we stay in. Today I did have to bundle DD up so I could do some shoveling. She just sat in the wagon watching. The wind chill today is -25.
Tidied the living room and I think DS finally fell asleep. The kitchen still needs work though. My dad is coming over on the weekend and it'll be the first time he's been to the house since we moved in the summer so I'm trying to keep everything reasonably tidy. My mom comes up during the week a lot but my dad is working during those times, so I'm excited for him to finally see it.
If my NT scan goes well tomorrow we'll also announce this weekend to family. I made DS a future big brother shirt to wear.

Bah, it happens gradually normally so we're pretty used to it when it's that cold, but it still sucks some days. But I have an Akita and a husky. They give zero fucks if it's cold, and need their walks. (Well the Akita could happily stay inside where she's warm, she's old and arthritic) I was walking them at well below freezing 4 km a day at 40 weeks pregnant.

I hope you didn't break your butt too.
So did they talk tubes?
I fell on one side of my butt, and it hurts pretty bad. I'm hoping it's just bruised.
The pedi said, and I quote "I think she's bought herself tubes". We see the ENT Monday, so hopefully it won't be long between the consult and surgery.

No comprende km. Lol. Thankfully we have a very large fenced yard so our dogs can run and get their exercise. They still like walks but I save that for warmer temps.
Ugh add me to the sick kiddo club (again) but so far it's just C. Sad munchkin has a temp and is SO lethargic. I've never seen him like this. He asked to go to bed at 7 last night. That has literally never happened in 3.5 years. Today he said "mama, I am so so sick. I have germs." Poor guy. Unfortunately my solo day of running an insane amount of errands has been boycotted by a small human who needs mama snuggles. Which is more important

2.5 miles ish? There are snowmobile trails near me we walk in the winter. I haven't been able to take Ryan yet, but his sled is arriving this week so that could be a lot of fun.
