Bah, it happens gradually normally so we're pretty used to it when it's that cold, but it still sucks some days. But I have an Akita and a husky. They give zero fucks if it's cold, and need their walks. (Well the Akita could happily stay inside where she's warm, she's old and arthritic) I was walking them at well below freezing 4 km a day at 40 weeks pregnant.
No comprende km. Lol. Thankfully we have a very large fenced yard so our dogs can run and get their exercise. They still like walks but I save that for warmer temps.
This is how we do dog things. Fenced in yard is good enough.
Hope all the sick babies feel better. Surprisingly, we're doing well over here. It's been almost 2 weeks since DD had HFM and hasn't had anything since. *knock on wood!*
I took the kids to the mall today because DD needed a haircut. Her bangs were in her eyes too much, and H doesn't trust me to cut them myself lol. She did pretty well sitting in the chair herself, but we had to keep reminding her not to move her head.
I have a massage booked for Thursday. I don't think I've gone for one since April/May? I'm looking forward to it as it'll probably be the last for a while. My health benefits will cease in a couple weeks when I go part time at work.
Phew. Sleep sucks here. He took two 30 min naps all day today, one of which he fell asleep for at 830 am in the jumperoo which never happens, and was bouncing off the walls at early bedtime.
Nursing only twice a day now apparently... AM/PM. Isn't a bit early to drop to that? Just last week we were still doing 5-6x a day. I give water with meals and offering sippys of milk also but his diapers have been scant so I don't think he's making up the difference. Have a Dr appt Thurs just to rule out EI with the poor nursing and poor sleep but I think it's developmental/regression.

First day of DH back at work after being off since Christmas Eve. I managed to get all gifts and clean laundry put away over the last couple days. I still have the take down and putting away of decorations and installation of a stairway baby gate that need to be done.
We discovered last night at bath time that L is capable of flipping himself head first into a tub so the bathroom doors are now closed.
It's freezing rain here today so we've just had a quiet day at home. I managed to empty the dishwasher and wash all the pots and pans from dinner yesterday and breakfast with kiddos underfoot so I'm patting myself on the back for geting that done.

Apparently good night sleep makes for bad day sleep. He's woken up from all naps after15-20 minutes sobbing today. He's happy otherwise, so I'm not sure what's up.
Our house is mostly de-Christmas'Ed. I look forward to cleaning without all that mess now!

SS just happened to have a tummy ache on taekwondo night for the second time in a row tonight. He did this right before Christmas and we totally fell for it. I felt so bad for him, but ten minutes after we said he didn't have to go, he forgot to keep acting sick and was obviously fine. This time I could tell he was putting on an act, even though he claimed it didn't have to do with taekwondo. So, he had a light dinner and had to go lay quietly in bed an hour earlier than his usual bedtime. About 20 minutes after being in bed he told me he felt "a lot better." Lol, kiddo, maybe you'll think twice next time you want to fake sick in front of the master.

DD1 decided to pull the 'I want a nap' to avoid going places this summer. I figured out her plan and when she tried it one morning when we were supposed to go to exercise I warned her she was not just going to be in bed for a few minutes and then decide she wanted to play. She agreed. When she decided she was tired of being in her bed (she had not slept) my response was "Oh sweetie, you told me you were too tired to even lie on a blanket at the park, you really should have a nap". She ended up spending most of her morning in bed and decided it wasn't the best strategy after all.

SS will do this when it's time to do weekend chores. We've decided not to fight it and let him nap if that's what he wants. But he doesn't get to do anything fun until the chores are done. It amazes me how he will still nap and then be upset when he's cleaning his room until bedtime and doesn't get to play games.
