Hi Everyone! Thanks again for all the concern! We went to the ER and they immediately transferred us to the hospital outpatient L&D ward where everyone was AMAZING. They definitely think it's either a stomach bug or I ate something bad. Baby's hb was good, I got a bag of iv fluid that made me feel a lot better, and my blood work came back good (like no elevated white blood cells). All on all only there for about 2.75 hours but now we're trying to leave and there is a suspicious package near where we're parked so we can't get to our car lol... Fx they clear the parking area soon!

lupincat unexpected medical bills are the worst! I hope you can resolve this quickly. I know that when I had some pop up, the hospital itself gave me a discount (30%) just for setting up a payment plan with them. Might be worth a try.
I also am nervous about affording 2 kids but more because of the cost of daycare. We're looking at $1,900 a month! That's 1.5 paychecks for me and totally negates me working at all since I could make up the difference tutoring part time. Finances suck 😕
I had to stop working outside the home (I work super super PT from home) because the amount of daycare was so much more than I brought home. But you're probably right about the discount for setting up a plan.
lupincat maybe your plan works differently or I'm misunderstanding but don't family insurance plans typically have both individual and family deductible amounts? In which case your insurance will pay out for you after you have met your individual deductible for yourself and for the whole family after you have collectively met the family deductible.
I was under the same impression as you. H is going to call in the morning to see what's going on. It's just so frustrating. I mean either way I'll be hitting the deductible because anesthia for the epidural alone is a lot of money but I was just anticipating less out of pocket cost. I do appreciate the hospital customer service doing this beforehand though so it's not a giant slap in the face when the baby comes.
And yes, the epidural cost is pricey. Worth every penny but really it's ridiculous how much it costs 😒 id also check to see if it's covered by your insurance. I've heard of insurances not covering it 🙄

Has anyone taken phenergan for nausea? The mw give me both this and zofran but recommended the phenergan over the zofran especially if I'm able to just sleep (it knocks you out). Just curious if anyone has taken this. Thanks!

I would have responded sooner, but my Phenergan knocked me out . I take both - zofran during the day and the other at night (or when it doesn't matter if I'm a zombie).
