For the first time in my life, I have warts - one on my finger, one on my foot. I had no idea it was a pregnancy thing either. Warning, don't google unless you want to see 9 out of 10 hits about the other type of warts...
I've had 3 cups of "Smooth Move" tea in the past 3 days but nothing is moving.... I feel like I'm playing with fire going with a 4th today but I have no choice 😬
jmcbick hopefully it works. The constipation is no joke. If that doesn't work, have you tried aloe pulp (and not the stuff in the pharmacy section of the store)? That stuff is amazing

The constipation is kicking in big time. I really need to get better about taking citrucel again because that usually helps me. My indigestion has now moved to full-blown acid reflux which is great fun. I'm brushing my teeth or using mouthwash all day because I worry about what the reflux is doing to my breath. And I also feel like I often smell. Like I used to occasionally skip taking a shower one day on the weekend and have no problem but now I feel like I stink if I do. Is it just me?

It usually works for me if I drink it religiously every other day but I got behind on it with my stomach bug and I'm definitely feeling it!
sleepymonkey I feel the same way. I know my nose is super sensitive, but I don't know if the actual smell is there too. Some days I take two showers because my own smell bothers me.
I have a sore throat this morning :/. Hopefully it's just the dry winter air!
+1 on the constipation and acid reflux. Also, I have the very unfortunate experience of having a vericose vein down there which is a lovely, apparently common side effects of 2nd pregnancies. Have never heard of that before...I don't even have them on my legs. This is by far the most depressing symptom I've had so far.
Add me to the list for constipation and reflux, neither of which I really had issues when pregnant with DD. It's so weird how different my two pregnancies have been. DH was paranoid I had a stomach bug but no, just acid... every day. Ugh!
nikonine mine are in the form of hemorrhoids and is the only place I have vericose veins. I never had them anywhere else... sigh
I've had those on and off since my first pregnancy too and they're not fun...but I'd rather have them there than where it's at now. Very uncomfortable and embarrassing 😕
I'll add to the illness theme of this thread... I'm on vacation and right now can't think of moving from the hotel room due to horrible gas pains and nausea... I spoke to the nurse at my mw office and she said that major dietary changes can definitely cause a worse effect when pg. I didn't even eat that bad yesterday though! (After going crazy with food the first couple of days here and super regretting it!) I finally took a pepcid since it feels like sour stomach but so far no luck. We had 2 dining reservations for today and everything!

Last night was DS's first night in his new bed. It went ok. He woke up at 3:30 and I had to go in there and then he woke up again at 4:30 and I made DH bring him into bed with me since I didn't feel like going back in. He nurses back to sleep otherwise I would've had DH handle it the 2nd time. He usually only wakes up 1x in MOTN (if that) so I'm guessing it was just the new environment that made him keep waking. I think his night light might be a big too bright so I may move it to the hallway tonight. I kept waking up and checking the monitor and woke up to every sound DS made so I think tonight I'll turn the sound down so I don't wake up just from him changing positions.

I started keeping a food diary to try to figure out my triggers for the reflux. It seems that everything is a trigger, although some things are worse than others (peanut butter is my biggest enemy right now). This pregnancy is definitely rougher than my first. Although I was a lot sicker in first tri with my first, I was feeling pretty decent by this point in that pregnancy. Now I feel like every week it's a new thing. The insomnia is the worst because the lack of sleep makes all of my other symptoms worse.

Man not only is French press coffee delicious, but it sure gets things moving a lot better than drip coffee. I'm thinking it's a stronger brew of coffee.

BabyStandish, that sounds pretty successful for a first night. We definitely had to turn the sound down on DD's monitor because I am a light sleeper so every little noise woke me up. Now we really only hear her if she starts talking or crying.

sleepymonkey a food diary sounds like a great idea! As soon as I'm home from vacation I'm getting my butt in gear to eat better and exercise more. I've finally found the motivation that was lacking the last 19 weeks lol. I'd been cutting out tomato products for a while and I might need to go back to that as I do think those make indegestion worse.

rosesquared, tomato products, citrus and chocolate are definitely stronger triggers for me. And broccoli has become really rough on my digestion, too, which makes me so sad because I love broccoli. I can't eat anything too oily either because that makes me feel sick. So basically all of the yummy stuff makes me feel like crap.

sleepymonkey ugh yeah. Last night I had a dish that was in an oily tomato sauce and I'm thinking that did me in... also a huge no no for me is garlic! And we normally cook with tons of garlic lol.

Oh no rosesquared! So not fair, given that you're in the land of Amazing Food. I hope you feel better. Can you grab some Zantac?
I am also in the lovely constipation club. I may need to try some of that tea. Other than that and insomnia, though, I'm doing pretty well. Hoping to get to the gym this evening.
Not too much TMI going on for me (yet). I have yet to find a rhyme or reason to my reflux, other than the obvious spicy/acidic stuff. Pretty much everything gives me heartburn but the Zantac does take the edge off. I can't wait to have this baby and then eat my body weight in Buffalo wings and salsa!!
We had a play date that was cancelled because my friend's LO is pretty sick. Poor kiddo but I 100% appreciate my friend being upfront about it! So I think we'll make a grocery store run today because I am craving cupcakes like crazy!

icedtea I know! This is awful! But the hotel is amazing!!! They're bringing up some toast, crackers, and ginger ale soon! DW is enjoying a day of rest and she is an amazing nurse!

rosesquared, yes garlic is a killer! And I love garlic, too! One piece of garlic bread will do me in. I already plan on making a lasagna and freezing it right before LO is born so I can have a feast of lasagna, garlic bread and wine as soon as I get home from the hospital!

I really would like to go to the gym or at least start doing a prenatal exercise video but I'm a bit freaked out by how easily I get out of breath and how fast my heartrate goes with just a little exertion. I mentioned it at my last appt but the midwife brushed it off (this was the one that was texting during my appt). I'm definitely going to bring it up again at my next appt because I'm scared to exercise but I feel like I need to.

Aw, yay. I'm glad they're all taking care of you. Maybe DW should head over to a certain chocolate shop for when you're feeling better...
