So far so good! Baby girl decided to sleep well last night, so I feel amazing this morning! Its amazing what a solid 6 hours does for me now. I used to need a solid 10 to get the same effect lol.
We're supposed to get some snow tonight into tomorrow... only about an inch but enough to make things annoying since everyone panics around here.
There is a chance of snow today which kicked my general anxiety about driving into high gear. As a result I am working from home. My only traveling will be to pick up the boys today.
On that note I am much happier at home and pumping is a whole lot easier!
+1 for chance of snow here. Enough that we will probably have a delayed opening tomorrow. Super annoying.
I spoke to the DC director today. She is absolutely furious with B's teacher. She said she will be checking all day and calling me at lunch. she will be very hands on until I feel like this is resolved.
I'm feeling good about the action being taken. But I feel shitty I had to go above his teacher to the director.
melody330, Definitely good to have the director on your side. I still can't believe it happened in the first place. That is such a big deal. Hopefully things will go smoother!
melody330 I'm glad the director will be keeping a close eye on everything to make sure something like that doesn't happen again! I hope they also plan on reprimanding the teacher over the water situation because that is not okay AT ALL. And I think you did the right thing about going to the director about it, you've gone to the teacher for other issues and had problems so going above her seems like the best thing IMO.
ginabini yaaay for a nice stretch of sleep! Six hours is great!
We decided to start giving Sam solids last night! I had a sweet potato so baked it up and pureed it with some breastmilk and we went for it. The results were hysterical. I don't know if it was the taste, texture, or what, but he was NOT impressed 😂 I managed to get on video his reaction and figured you all might enjoy a little laugh this morning!

melody330, glad the director is taking action! I'm still in disbelief!
mcktymck too funny! We started solids on Christmas & E has yet to encounter one he doesn't like. I can't wait to see his expression when he's like "WTF IS THIS?!"

melody330 I'm glad the director saw the severity of the situation and took action!
mcktymck Too funny! I love the faces babies make when they don't like a food! He's so cute.
AFM we had playgroup and then went food shopping this morning. Honestly how does anyone get a baby on a schedule? Between us being out and about and the fact that she naps different lengths every day Idk how I'm going to get any sort of schedule going on.
melody330 good for you for talking to the director. You tried to talk to the teacher without success, so speaking with the director is the next logical step. Don't feel badly for being concerned about your son's care.
I was planning to make today a lazy day, and then of course everything got busy. L fell asleep in the stroller on the way home from baby playgroup and errands, and I managed to transfer him from the stroller to his crib (still in his snowsuit, ha ha!). He's still sleeping, so I'm relaxing for a few minutes before waking him to pick up DS1.
Had a meeting with director and head teacher of the school (not B's teacher). Highlights-
-teacher for written up -state department got involved -no pacifier, no water -there will be a supervisor in the room at all times for the remainder of January if not longer
Good news is we got W in a helmet to round out his head. Should only have it for 3 months. I know if I was him I would want it done.
I'm being weaned off my Cymbalta. I forget what my psychiatrist is putting me on. Later I will start therapy. She said my family made me feel so much like an inconvenience that it became my personality. Which means I'm one ball of anxiety.
cavewmn I'm sorry for everything that you've been dealing with lately. Glad to hear you're taking actions to try to help. Hope things improve for you, and the helmet helps your little guy.

Hugs cavewmn. It sounds like you are taking steps in the right direction to feel better. It's not easy. We are here for you! And I'm glad that you got W a helmet, in the long run it will be worth it!
cavewmn Hugs. Sounds like you're doing all the right things. I hope therapy and the new meds help. Also 3 months will probably go by so fast in the grand scheme of things. I'm sorry you've got so much going on right now.
