That was quick. 2 hours and they were done. He said they are going to let it dry a couple hours and then come back to sand. Then it's time for paint! Which I will have to pick out still.
That dust is the worst, while they are sanding I'd shut off the furnace so it doesnt get through the whole house and have them tape a plastic sheet at the basement entance to stop it from coming upstairs, otherwise you'll be swearing and dusting for days.
They tape off the doorway, thankfully. Last time I didn't shut off the furnace and the filter was full of dust so I think I'm going to try that this time, thanks.
Hiiii- I went to the gym this morning and that's all I'm doing today.
MH is going to be applying for another contracting job. It's a way better rotation and a big pay increase. A girl I met at the gym's husband is on the contract and it's pretty sweet. He'd still be gone 60 days at a time but then he's home 60... so way more manageable. He might not even get the position... so we'll see.... I think I'm crazy for okaying this. The reality of having to go back to work and leave my littlest for so much time was feeling to much to bear. Which is why I'm hoping he gets it.
I hated my Bosch. I got rid of it this year for a LG and it is worlds better.
Interesting. Usually I hear glowing reviews. Someday, in the distant future, when we replace our appliances I'm leaning towards either LG or kitchenaid.
sweetpotato I'm using the one from lowes. I love playing around with stuff like this!
kamakaziartist I ended up starting over and was able to do it super quick since I had it figured out already.
Here's what I have
Current:
They didn't have a good flooring option so this isn't quite it, but I love the layout. Taking out the closet on the right and putting cabinets there and then replacing the wall of cabinets with lockers. I had to add in the locker dividers since that wasn't available on the designer

I have a Bosch d/w and love it. It's less than 2 y.o. but so far, so good! Our w/d is LG and we've been pleased with them, as well.

wedding thanks! We came home with a pee retrieval kit to try first. If it doesn't work out then he will spend the day there for them to get it. They also did a geriatric blood panel since he's 13. Until we get all the results back we treat it as if it is behavioral and try to make sure they all have their own safe spaces, etc.
So hiiiiiii! Busy day but wanted to say hi and I missed this place. Work is kicking my butt, but at least the days go by quickly. And now I'm so glad it's the weekend!!!

I'm not sure if they mentioned this but if you notice he isn't peeing all of the sudden, it's an emergency. Male cats can get crystals in their urine that cause them to pee frequently at first but sometimes get blocked and they can get really sick from it.

Cadence just rolled into the room pedaling her tricycle. I screamed, "OMG you're doing it!!" Then she started going backwards. This kid, man. It took her forever to learn to pedal.
I saw the 'quiz your toddler' post had popped up on the front page tonight on our way home from dinner, so I decided to ask B the questions again. An excerpt:
Me: How old are you? B: Three (holds up 3 fingers) Me: How old is Daddy? B: Um, sixteen. Me: How old is Mommy? B: thirty-two! (Giggles uncontrollably; DH starts laughing and calling me a cradle-robber).
What the heck, kid? Why does Daddy get to be young? (And yes, I am actually 32).
snoopmommymom I hope you have arrived and are having a great time!
I'm unimpressed by my Bosch dishwasher and my LG washer and dryer. First time I bought appliances I got the cheapest ones on the market because we were poor. They worked just fine.

Yeah I had a good newer one. When we bought our house, our realtor was drooling over it. I never liked it. All of my dishes came out dripping wet. Bruxannie had one too and had the same complaint. Plus it held smells, even with vinegar rinses. I love the LG. Smells good, dishes are dry!
My dishwasher is Frigidaire and I don't love it. Same complaint as Cherhorowitz about her Bosch. Nothing is ever dry. It's new so we aren't replacing it. Congratulations on your new appliances, @surelycantbesrs. The value of a dishwasher can't be overstated.
We just started our drive over the mountain pass. Apparently there is knee deep snow at our destination and the temps are in the negatives. I live in western WA so I never have to deal with that shit. Negative temperatures should not exist. I shall overcome.
Did you remember a coat and snow boots? You can do it!
I'm watching Where the heart is with Natalie Portman. It's so weird bc the newborn baby was the flower girl from my wedding.
How did that happen ☺️?!
I used to her her babysitter. She was like two weeks old when they were filming the movie and needed a newborn and someone reached out to her mom. She's only in one quick scene. Many babies were used. Lol.
nam2013 probably a fever blister instead of a cold sore. I get them around that same timeline. They suck and I try to hide away until the swelling at least goes down Try hot compresses and zilactin. Idk if you have that over there. It is over the counter in a little tube.

That's crazy @surelycantbesrs. Was she creepy in real life? Was she the girl that climbs out of the well? That movie was super scary. I forced my sil to see it w me and she HATES scary movies. Lol. I called her at work the next morning and when she answered I said "Seven days!" And hung up. She was pissed.

No because I didn't really have any space for that kind of stuff. I'll be wearing my combat boots during the day. I have a really warm fleece for my old uniform, but I just started wearing the new one and I was too cheap to buy the fleece jacket because it looked really poorly made and thin. I brought long johns for underneath and hopefully that will keep me warm enough. For civies I only had space for sneakers and a fleece jacket. I'll survive. They have paths shoveled on the sidewalks so it's not bad.
I lucked out because my promotion got me enough rank to get a private room!
