I didn't realize we had so many camping enthusiasts here. We bought ours last summer and I love it!!! I can't wait to get out there, but I'm so nervous about camping with a newborn. Anyone have some tips?
StephNE, good to know. We have one of those nets. My mom also has an outside bouncer type thing with a net over it. We have a trip planned this summer when this baby will be 3 weeks old. I didn't know if I was being overly optimistic.
N completely boycotted her nap yesterday. I don't know if that has ever happened before, but it happened. She was actually fairly happy considering. And today, she's already been up there for 50 minutes and having the time of her life in her crib. GTFTS!!!!!
StephNE, we bought passes for Michigan Adventure and we will be going there a few times as well. I figure this way dd will be 2 and can burn off some energy and get some fun time in after baby comes. I won't be able to do much after a c-section with #2 but there will be family there to help wrangle her. I hope it ends up being fun for everyone. We camp across from MI Adv. That campground is beautiful and convenient!
Good morning. Just cut the kid's nails while she screamed bloody murder the whole time. Good times. DH is working from home today since I have a dentist appointment at 1. But this morning I'm taking the kid grocery shopping and then to open gym.
We have to give him food that he eats with one hand while we trim the other.
That would be like the worst time ever for my food hating kid.

We are in teething hell. I was up with DS from 3-5 am and other random times. When DH's phone rang at 6 to let him know school was cancelled today, I almost cried tears of joy.
We woke up to wind gusts at 70mph and the highest winds got up to 110mph. The news was saying it was equivalent to a hurricane! Semi trucks were tipped over, roofs blown off of buildings, power outages, and random debris flying everywhere. What makes it even weirder is that it's almost 60 degrees today. I think we'll be staying in today.
emu0013, I was going to buy a rock n' play just for camping. Thanks for justifying this purchase.
It was one of my favorite baby items! We didn't use it for bedtime sleeping but for daytime cat naps it was amazing! Also, while I showered etc! Mine is older but I hear now they rock on their own lol
DH didn't get the CA job that he was a perfect fit for Apparently they went with someone who had worked in that group previously. So bummed.
Ughhh. I'm so sorry. Why does this stuff always happen?! Reminds me of the job my husband was very fit for here at my job, and they instead chose the AVP's very young fresh outta college daughter. Irritating.
We took C last summer and since she was a later walker she wasn't walking yet. She went down the kiddie water slide 5000 times and we had to carry her up to go again lol. I'm very excited because this year they are revamping the little kid area and making a ton of improvements for the littles. Much excite!

@lgdesigner I plan on watching that as soon as I am not pregnant. I'm already emotional as it is...cannot handle crying for hours right now.
robotpcr I'm averaging about a nail a day over here...
Idk what to do about Ks naps. She doesn't settle down quickly at all--she will eventually fall asleep and nap about an hour. But now bed time is her playing, babbling and talking in her crib for over an hour before falling asleep. Should I bump back bedtime and keep the nap? Or get rid of the nap--she is totally pleasant without one. (I do lie down for a nap before work when I put her down at 7:30, so I am hesitant to bump bedtime back, although I'm not getting much sleep anyway).
I'm just nervous with baby Ro coming (I'm 36 weeks) to get rid of her nap. What would you guys do?

Sounds like others are having similar nap woes--I just want the best of both worlds. Nap everyday and keep 7:30 bedtime. Why can't we be on the same page K? Why!

I'm sorry. I know you had your heart set on that. I hope another opportunity pops up soon.
Yeah, I was trying not to get my hopes up but it was so perfect and DH knows people at the organization and the project they were hiring for he helped create. It's tough because he's good at what he does and fairly well-known in the field but it's very specific and so there just aren't that many jobs in the area we want to move to.
flyinghorses6 I would probably keep things the same for now... it could just be a phase she's going through or a leap or whatever the heck you wanna call it lol. N went through that about a month or 2 ago and we kept at it and she went right back to normal (with the exception of yesterday and today where she completely boycotted nap all together)
