@kleigh yay, glad to hear you love it! She took a wide blue one the other day, but hoping she'll do well on this one too. And then we can ditch the straws in a couple months..
starbuck27 I'm trying to get/keep them on relatively the same schedule but it never fails - one of them either doesn't fall asleep, or takes too long to eat, or wakes early and wants to eat, or some other variation which results in me literally doing this all day:
Change #1 Feed #1 Burp #1 Get #1 to nap
#2 wakes up
Change #2 Feed #2 Burp #2 Get #2 to nap
Rinse and repeat
Usually they are good with naps until about noon and then if they miss a nap they get so damn cranky that I have to rock or carry that one and then it screws up the schedule for the next one who then misses a nap. Vicious cycle. I was thinking maybe you had a secret trick to getting naps in.
So, something I've heard of but never seen actually happened. Lillian was playing, got fussy, and then just passed out on the playroom floor.
You guys. I kid you not this child hasn't taken a nap without intervention (nursing, car, rocking, etc) in her ENTIRE LIFE. This is going in her baby book. Now.
waitwhat Yes, I left her there. I did put a blanket on her and I had to abandon my playroom project. She slept for almost an hour. And then she fell asleep in the stroller when DH took her and the dog on a walk. I'm going to guess this is related to her being sick. No fever, but I think she's feeling pretty yucky.

aw I hope she feels better!
Thanks! I feel bad for her. She's so unhappy today.
RAGE. Meanwhile I'm trying to get my toddler to eat anything but he keeps pushing my hand away. And J is crying in the swing because the pacifier keeps falling out of his mouth. At one point B takes the spoon as it's coming to his mouth and swats it away and the contents of the spoon goes all over the place. RAGE.
I just opened a bottle of wine. Screw this no drinking during the week BS.
ETA: I wonder i what DH would do if I had said no. Ha.
You should say no it's not OK, because it's not to you at the moment. You will build up resentment the more it happens and frankly he can't change unless you tell him it's not ok.
aggiebug I didn't think about the car seats. I am lucky that parents have extras to use for all the different grandchildren. I don't know how she did it, but my sister flew to see me with her then 3 and 1 year olds including car seats. But I think she checked both seats, didn't install on the plane. Do you always use seats on the plane? I never have, oops!
Adeline skipped her witching hour tonight in favor of going to sleep at 6:15p. I have a bad feeling about tonight. I'll set up the coffee now just in case.
After being at our friends' house all afternoon yesterday she was pretty overstimulated and her sleep sucked last night and she was a boat load of fun this morning. So much that H called out of work because he knew I couldn't handle both on no sleep and with a cranky AV.
I'm eating mini twix, snickers, and Milky Way that my mom brought me this weekend. Make her stop bringing me sweets - she knows I have no willpower.
Annnd DS is refusing a bottle. Arg come on Mr. c be a team player. Momma wants to be able to go out and daddy would really like to feed you every once in a while, although I think he would settle for nap time snuggles at the moment. I guess I am going to try a few things during the week to get him to eat from a bottle, DD was so flipping easy if it was edible she ate it I swear hot, cold, from anyone one in practically any position.

I know how frustrating this is. I think we just found a bottle L will tolerate. It makes me nervous to go out this weekend and back to work knowing she hasn't taken more than an ounce from one. What brand do you have and what do you want to try?
I'm here I promise! I keep meaning to post, but I put the phone down and come back hours later and feel that post wouldn't make sense anymore!
Just feeling overwhelmed and like I'm doing everything wrong! It's bitterly cold here and I thought L had a cold so didn't feel right putting him in bath/shower/steamed bathroom so he's back to not sleeping till late! (Like it's 3am and L won't stay down for more than 30 minutes unless he's on me) How am I supposed to workout and make healthy food choices when I'm exhausted? When I do get a few minutes, I "should" be sleeping. I'm gaining weight and I have over 100lbs to lose!?!
L has his follow-up hearing test on Wednesday. I have my PP 6 week appointment on Friday.

We used an agent bottle so far. I know I have some tommee tippee and maybe a Dr browns. I am going to work on it for H's sake and for my sanity's sake but I do sah so thankfully I don't have that burden of worrying about going back to work.
cheshie6 I'm sorry you're feeling overwhelmed. I assure you that you're not doing things wrong. L is fed and happy and therefore you are doing things right! It's so incredibly difficult to set a schedule with their ever-changing sleep patterns. Even more difficult to find time for yourself and believe me, I've been there. Do you have anyone (an inlaw, a neighbor, a friend) who could come over for a couple hours so you could get in a workout and a nap? Or even just to let you have some time in the kitchen to prep some healthy meals and snacks for the week? This is the only way I ever feel like I can handle anything besides takeout. If not, don't be too hard on yourself. Like waitwhat said these first few months are pure survival. It feels far away but there *will* be a time when L's schedule is more predictable and you can focus a bit more on yourself again. Hugs!
waitwhat, DH doesn't get home till next Thursday (not this Thursday coming) dashook, I feel like it's a choice between a workout or a nap and naps win! My mom is here and she has never been known for healthy meals (black Puerto Rican with southern soul food roots) and I've don't usually have dessert in the house but between neighbors bringing cookies and her always having dessert in the house, I'm struggling!
