I have ribs in the crockpot for tonight and my kids slept well lastnight! And my sweet tires got me to work safely on the snowy roads. So today is going well so far.

E is either teething or has a cold. Either way he was a cranky snot machine yesterday but seemed to be in a better mood this morning before I came to work.
I'm supposed to be off tomorrow but the girl who works called out yesterday because her dad had a stroke. I have an appointment for DD in the morning so I need to know if I have to cover for this girl tomorrow so I can reschedule ASAP if I need to but I feel like an asshole calling & saying "sorry about your dad..so are you working tomorrow??" I also really don't want to reschedule DD's appointment.

I have been working from home the past 3 workdays but I am back in the office today. I hate pumping here, I get less ounces and have to spend more time pumping than I do at home.
S has another cold and has been coughing. I put some baby Vicks on him last night and he hated it initially but it did help with the cough in the first half of the night. I have been slacking on giving him solids since he is sick and wants to nurse. Oh well.
I finally caved and bought a few pairs of new jeans. I kept resisting with the hope that my pre-pregnancy jeans would magically fit soon... but alas, it won't be for a while. I am sooo happy with my decision. I feel so much better not wearing maternity jeans, and it was extra nice that the size I got was smaller than what I thought I'd need!

Ooh nice! I bought myself one pair back in the fall, thinking I'd be down a size or two by now... nope, and I've worn a hole in the crotch since I wear them pretty much everyday. I'm going to need to suck it up and get another pair.

Been MIA basically since G turned 4 months. He was so grumpy. I think we went through a growth spurt, sleep regression and he got two teeth all at around the same time. He was a mess. We did a lot of traveling around for the holidays so that didn't help us. I also got some hardware removed from my leg before Christmas and am about healed up now. Hopefully we're all settling back into what was normal! Hope everyone had great holidays!
Sam slept through the night and then this morning when H was changing his diaper Sam apparently wasn't done pooping and finished up on H. First time that's ever happened in nearly six months haha. All in all it's been a fantastic morning!
So random TMI/Baby Poop question here. So yesterday at daycare, HK's poop has been a grayish color and it was still that color this morning. Anyone else have this happen to their LO? Of course Dr. Google sucks and just ups my anxiety. We do have an appointment this afternoon for her 6 month well check but thought I would try it here too.
P.S. If anyone would love to tell me how to do the spoiler hider, I would appreciate it
**loss trigger**
I have been growing more anxious as we lead up to these next appointments since DS was dx at 11 months. When she's having an off day which is totally normal for most babies, I can't help but think the worse. I hate that cancer ruined this for me.

cavewmn I'm so glad things are going well for you! And great job with the helmet, W!
jenn83 big hugs. I have no idea about the poop, other than maybe it's something she ate? Have you started solids yet? DS1 had jet black poop one day, but it was just from a blueberry smoothie he had. Are you BFing? Did something change in your diet? The only other thing I can think of is maybe her body is fighting off a bug. Chances are it's not a big deal, but I understand how it would make you worried. Definitely call your doctor if you need to.
So I basically have no friends here at all, the only people I hang out with are Sam, H and my family. I've always been a hermit crab and super awkward when it comes to meeting new people and branching out, I've got bad social anxiety which makes it all worse. A girl I went to HS with who just had a baby back in October has been frequently liking and commenting on my things on FB and I've been doing the same to her and she lives very close to us, so I decided a little bit ago to send her a message asking if she might like to have a "play date" sometime. Now I'm sitting here feeling like I'm a loser back in HS again thinking "what if she doesn't ever respond to me or want to hang out with me?" Friggin' anxiety. It's so hard making friends when you're an adult!
mcktymck, mm well hello there life twin. Same. friggin. boat. I feel like I have no friends around here. My sister is not far away but she's a nurse so she has a crazy schedule and a girlfirend that lives in the other direction. Hugs.
jenn83 big big hugs. I'm sorry. It's super worrisome being a parent in general let alone when you've gone through something like that. I have no advice on the poop but I know my kids have had their share of weird colored/looking poop! Hopefully your doctor had answers for you!
mcktymck hugs, I'm the same way. Chances are she'll be stoked when she reads your message though. Also it's much easier as they get a little older and you join playgroups, activities, school. I've met some pretty awesome women that way and have become much more social.
Thank you everyone. I truly appreciate y'alls support for my crazy
Update: Everything is fine and Harper looks perfect to the pedi. She said she is only concerned about 3 colors of poop: white (really white), coffee grinds/black, and red. Otherwise normal baby poop

mcktymck I'm the same. And I also just suck at keeping friends. But I believe that if you always ate the one contacting them, they really aren't your friend anyway.
jenn83 That really sucks you have that trigger :/ I'm glad everything is ok!
I had a really bad reaction to my new med. DH ended up coming home so I could sleep, go to DS helmet appt, then slept more. Now I just plan to detox from it all until my appointment Monday. After DH and I will take W for his first build a bear!
My DH may drives me crazy at times but he is the best husband at the same time. LOL
Unless something happens DS won't have another head appointment until the 7th! He already got a bit of his helmet shaved.
