Reasons Why I Can't "Sleep When the Baby Sleeps"

Need to post about my absence in the check-in (everyone okay, just have a baby with reflux who doesn't like to sleep and had to make a career decision over the last week), but I was thinking about all the serious and silly reasons why I don't nap during the day. I love sleep so trust me I try but I thought this might make a fun thread topic!

- I need to cut my fingernails because they are like daggers and I'm afraid I'll scratch the baby

- I have to play fetch (quietly) with my dog

- I have to feed myself and drink water so I can make more breast milk

- I try to shower at least every other day

Because DH needs to sleep otherwise I have 2 babies to deal with, lol.

Because my other LO's don't love me enough to let me sleep when the baby sleeps!

Because we have had nonstop visitors since coming home! They have been amazing with helping out and bringing food, but man, some days I just want to be like, can you just hold my baby and watch tv while I go nap?

Because I want to talk take a shower that is more than a nanosecond

Because I'm writing a to-do list for my husband who clearly has too much free time. (Seriously)

It's the only time I can catch up with the outside world, return calls and schedule appointments. Oh, and figure out if I'm running out of diapers/wipes/necessities and make a grocery list of things I'll never actually get because it's too hard and too cold to get out of the house with twins.

Because I wrote it the budget wrong (again) and a bill that was supposed to come out of tomorrow's check came out today and I have no more available transfers so I have to go to the credit union to transfer money from savings to checking before my husband notices. Thank God Jane likes to sleep in the truck.

I have so many thank you notes to write between Christmas presents and gifts for S. Trying to do two each day.

I have to wait for my baby to fall asleep so I can cut HER fingernails.
