Ugh. I have the day off of work tomorrow and had plans to spend the day doing something fun with DS... Don't really want to be out in the mess though. Any other day I would welcome it!
Bring a big bowl of snow inside for him to play with. You can be warm and have sensory fun.
Stealing this idea! Lol
I was just coming on to say that I haven't been following the weather since I got back from Miami on Fri. and am now totally unprepared. We have no milk, bread, nada. Ugh. I guess I'll go brave Kroger now.
sstwinklinglites, even though you actually need that stuff you will officially look like "one of those people" that panic and run to the store. . Good luck... That's the last place I would want to be!

bazingaa - I went. It was empty. I could have full on done my groceries, but I didn't have my grocery list and felt like I was walking around aimlessly picking up random crap we don't need, so I left with the necessities. Yeah, I can't do groceries without a list. Also, I really had to pee and didn't feel like using their bathrooms.
theophania - Such creative ideas. Although DS is too small to understand snow, colors, or paint. Everything is just an opportunity for him to bang his hands into things and stick it in his mouth.

I have had constant but bearable contractions since 4 pm. I'm 37 weeks, and just waiting for them to turn into something. They probably will tomorrow at 8 during the heavy snow......

becole & mrscatfarmer13 & any other NYK ladies - how's the snow situation down there? My husband is covering NKY as well as our area work - wise this week, and he needs to know how the snow is down there to make a decision regarding closings. Please and thank you!
I would be closing things at noon and trying to get home. With an inch/ hour- the road crews can't keep up and the roads will be ridiculous. Driving in "snow tracks" on 75 means very slow travel. I've done it before.

Secretly hoping our corporate office decides to close down our offices this afternoon. We have lots of associates that live in the NKY area. Last year when the weather situation was similar, they just closed us down early to make sure people got home safely.

I work in Florence and things aren't terrible. There's maybe an inch of snow in the grass outside my office. I don't see us closing, in the six years I've been here, they have only closed our site 2x and both times were last year.

We have at least an inch here and it hasn't stopped snowing since I woke up. DH spoke to his boss and the guy doesn't want to close anything. He wants to wait until it's dangerous to drive to close shit. Smart guy that one.

I did venture out earlier to my SILs house 5 miles away and it wasn't horrible. But the roads are starting to get pretty covered over here on the eastside, it's def going to be a nasty evening commute home for hubby.

We have 5-6 inches in Independence/South Covington/Taylor Mill.
After driving through Boone, Kenton and Grant counties today, I have to say that Kenton does the best job clearing roads. I'm pretty sure Boone co didn't even have a snow plow out this afternoon.
I really hope I don't have to work tomorrow but it's not looking good. We have to be in level 2 snow emergency to get off. I think Kenton has been 1 all day. You are right @mrscatfarmer. I think because Kenton doesn't have as much rural roads to cover so they can focus on the well travelled roads. Fort wright is awesome. Police, ems- everything to do with this city is awesome. Anytime we try to call something in, they're like, We are aware and are taking care of it. I love living in this city.
