DD asked to go to the nurse because she didn't feel good. She still generally refuses to speak at school, so not only talking but also self advocating is pretty huge.
Now, if only she would attempt to show that she can read so that she stops getting sent home sight words that she knew when she was three...
DS's favorite place right now is the post office. So I told him that if he drew pictures, we could mail them to people. Now he's on a drawing kick. He's drawing pictures of everyone and they look pretty good, some of them are pretty anatomically correct.
DS and his (NT) BFF have determined that they want to go to the same college and get jobs together as equipment managers for the Patriots. DS still insists he could try out for back-up quarterback, or kicker if need be, because "they don't have to do much."
I know, I know, he's young. BUT- I haven't liked his recent talk of "just going to a two-year technical school" because it would be easier. I've never talked about tech school with him. Nothing at all wrong with 2-year schools (I went to one myself!), but he is a kid who often chooses the path of least resistance. He relented to the idea of a 4-year only because his buddy talked him into it. ❤️️
Hell is being face down on a table (in a chiropractor's office) with ice on your back with your ADHD kid "sitting quietly next to you." This is not relaxing, to put it mildly. However, with the help of some heavy bribery, I have not murdered her (yet). That is my brag.
I have got to solve this problem. Anyone know how I can get 25 hours out of a day?

OMG, the kid tried to slurk out of the house in wrinkled khakis and a polo he out-grew in high school. And his beat up safety shoes from work. With full on neckbeard scruff.
