Not silly. I always desperately wanted to throw up, but couldn't seem to. Most people told me it didn't help :\
So my unhelpful advice is, whatever you feel like in the moment because I don't think it makes a huge difference. Good luck! If it's bad, ask your doctor about diclegis—I wouldn't have made it through first tri (or part of second) without it.

Luckily their website states b6 25mg 3x per day and 1/2 of a unisom

PepperPottsJ, sometimes I would just throw up and feel better. But not always. Have you tried ginger chews or something of the sort? Saltine crackers helped me as well, but I didn't MS too bad. It came and it went day to day.
It never found one to be better than the other :/ it was all whatever I felt was necessary at the moment.
If it gets unbearable, call and ask for something. Dicelgis didn't do anything for me. I did Zantac for a while before finally being moved to Zofran. There's no reason to suffer in this day and age if it becomes too much
PepperPottsJ, this is completely random, but pop tarts used to help me, if you happen to have any. I got the nature's whatever version, but I'm sure the normal kind works too.

I always just threw up and got it over with.
Other things that helped: -I'm still taking half a unisom and a B6 every night before bed. - Eat something, constantly. - Keep crackers and other snacks in your bag, car, desk, nightstand. - Try and stay as hydrated as possible.

My nausea was never...productive. It was just nausea. Once I realized that eating through it didn't make me puke, that was a turning point. But some women can't help it or think it's easier to just get it over with.
At times throwing up helped, but mostly I just breathed through it and that was much preferable. Sometimes throwing up was unavoidable but if I could sit down and breathe in some ginger oil that usually helped a lot.

I only breathed through it if I couldn't puke logistically (e.g., walking down the street). Otherwise, I went and at least spit in the toilet/sink. I threw up plenty of times, but sometimes I just got nausea with the mouth sweats (this is what we called it in college) and spitting then rinsing my mouth made me feel better eventually.

+eleventy to Unisom/B6
Also: eating constantly (high protein), drinking through a straw because drinking large sips of water made me want to vomit, eating cheerios in bed before getting up in the morning (DH wanted to kill me but whateves), telling myself that the Preggie Pop Drops were magic and would make me feel better (eh worked okay), taking Zantac to help with my acid reflux which presented more as nausea than heartburn.
Finally, I moved really slow in the morning. My routine for work went from 45 minutes to almost 2 hours but it helped. I'd eat a little, relax, eat a little, relax, get ready a little, eat, finish getting ready, eat.
I only threw up twice and both were related to pill taking.
