@gustergirl I was buying a bunch of gatorade the other day. Teenager at the checkout asked if it was my favorite drink. I said no, my son drinks a ton at hockey. Kid goes "oh, what high school does he play for?" I don't feel old enough to have a high schooler.
I ran to the store to buy DayQuil because, of course, mh thinks he's catching what Josie has. Anyway, you have to show an ID for it and when I asked the check out guy if I really needed to, he told me "No, I don't need to see your ID. You're like 30, right?" Yes, nicest man in the world, I'm like 30. 😄
Mh got ID'ed at the liquor store yesterday. He said they must've been checking to make sure he wasn't an undercover cop. No way he looks like could be under 21.

I get carded once or twice a year...no way I look under 21. I always tell the cashier 'SURE!' Then they tell me they're carding anyone who looks younger than 38. Um, thanks?
I got carded last night! It was a fast casual local restaurant. I didn't have my ID since we had walked there. She almost didn't sell it to me. I was wearing a baby and had a kid in a stroller. She sold MH 2 glasses. She said they have to card anyone that looks under 40.. guess I'm glad I qualify for that?
One of my first jobs was working for a small town grocery store. They threaten me if I sold to someone underage and they loss their license for either alcohol, tobacco, or the lottery i would regret it. It freaked me out so much I carded everyone. Including people who were way over 21 (I think the oldest was and 85 year old). When the holidays came around I got a few little gifts left for me.
Ditto. I sold beer at a deli and same idea. But they basically made me ID everyone. I don't think they trusted my judgment and didn't want to lose their license over me.

Same, but at a restaurant. It was a chain and the bartenders at various locations were arrested on more than one occasion for not carding.
