We're off any minute to a cloth diaper workshop at this really cool store called the diaper lab. (We need to make a final yay/nay decision about cloth diapering.) Then later going to BRU to make serious headway on our registry.

Good morning! Planning on going on a run here in a bit and then I have a baby shower to go to at 1pm. We actually went and got her gift last night instead of right before the party which is what I usually do so that's a bit of a relief. Tonight is date night so I think we are going to go see Rogue One.
H and I slept in a bit, and I have a massage soon while he goes to acupuncture. Tonight we're going to make chocolate banana pancakes and go through a date night box I got him from Unbox Love. Should be a pretty chill day.
I need to find a maternity swimsuit somewhere before Friday, so maybe we'll go to the mall too.
rosesquared Fun! I wish we had something like that around here. I've thought about using cloth but after doing some research I found all the options overwhelming. Pampers has a lot of my money.
We just got home from Cracker Barrel. I had blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup and it was aaaaaamazing. We're supposedly getting snow today so I guess we'll be spending the day at home again. I need to get some stuff done around the house so it's fine.
DH came home from work and said the guys at his office told him not to let me talk him into cloth diapering lol he didn't say anything but we've already decided to CD and bought most of our NB stash lol
We're going to The Container Store today to buy shelves for the nursery closet. Then DH plans to watch football so I'll do something around the house while that's on

txcatlady lol that's funny. Before we had DS everyone at H's office tried talking him out of it and said we wouldn't actually do it. I'm not sure why all the hate/doubt towards it. But we sure showed them Now everyone asks if I'm going to CD this baby too and I'm like "of course". It's more work for sure, but so worth it IMO.
lupincat YUM! I always order the blueberry pancakes when I go there. SOOOO GOOD!
Happy Saturday! I have Monday AND Friday off this week so looking forward to two long weekends! This one will be spent with DH's best friend M and his gf K. They are babysitting DD for us next weekend during our hospital tour, so we're trying to get her used to his house before then. And of course, since he's a 28 yr old guy, getting him used to having a toddler in his house! So far it's been hilarious watching him frantically run around with DD moving everything breakable 😂. K teaches elementary school and DD loves her, but M is determined to learn to babysit on his own since he is our kids' godfather.
We're also going to work on decorating the nursery and inventorying (sp?) baby clothes. DH is determined to paint the kitchen and do all these random home improvements but I have a feeling that he's going to put them off till next weekend when FIL is here to help him.

We just got home from getting DD's pictures taken. She did great but it was a struggle trying to rein in the "cheesy smile". Not sure what else we're doing this weekend but I think it will mostly be chores MH wants to get done. Somehow his chores always seem to take priority over what I want to get done. DD makes it where it's difficult for us both to be doing chores at once.

icedtea yeah we're signed up for a baby wearing class too! They're pretty cheap and this store is awesome!! So glad you found a place in Asheville!
@lildiamondeyes yeah we were pretty undecided before this class but I think the class may have sealed the deal. I still want to understand when people say it's a dramatic cost savings does that include the increased laundry loads (water, electricity, and gas).

txcatlady, my husband LOVES CD and so does my bff's H. We do different types (they do pockets, DH and I do prefolds/covers). It'll be great
Today we found out we are having another girl! I am excited because I love the name we have picked out (Gretchen), but I was kind of hoping to experience both a boy and a girl. Then the rational side of me remembers that sex organs do not determine personality, and I'm sure it will be two totally different experiences
We are HOME. Can't wait to sleep in my own bed tonight. No big plans for the weekend, I was supposed to be in DC throwing my friend a baby shower today but obviously that got derailed with DS being in the hospital. My other friend took over and she just texted me some pics and everything looks great, so that's a relief! I feel bad for missing it, but life happens I guess!
I got to sleep in this morning, did some tidying up around the house, read a little. Now waiting for H to get home from the store, he's having a couple friends over to watch football and hockey all day, so I'm going to the library while he hangs out here with DD. Then home to organoze my pantry and under the sink. Yesterday I did our spice cabinet and it's so much better, I want to keep going, and since H will be in front of the TV all weekend, I'll have plenty of time.

sleepymonkey Same way here. DH almost always goes off and does his to-do list or works while I manage dd when we are both home, so my to-dos have to wait until naptime or until I make him stay with dd so I can do things.
Also, no CD here. I seriously looked into prior to dd but just didn't (and still don't) think we would have time for all the work it takes with our jobs. I have a lot of respect for the people who do CD though!
Low key Saturday around here. I braved slick roads to go to the gym this morning. DH took dd to a pet store to look at fish while I was gone(she's currently obsessed with finding nemo). Not much in the way of plans for the rest of the day which is fine with me!

We're taking a very relaxed approach to CD, and will probably actually be doing a mix. In particular, we'll likely use disposables at the very beginning, since my focus will just be on survival.
We had a great day out, my massage was amazing. And Motherhood Maternity was having a big sale. I got a nice dress I think I'll use for my baby shower and a couple other things. Only downside was the horrible heartburn during lunch, but now I have leftovers.

Congratulations on the baby girl, @kaybeeknits! Hooray for being home, jmcbick! Like cubbiebear325, I don't think we have the time for CD. Admittedly I didn't look into it too much so I'm not really sure the main benefit of it. I'm making one of our favorite meals for dinner tonight so I'm excited. Then I plan on having some tea with honey to help my cough and going to bed. Exciting night at my house!

@kaybeeknits congrats on a girl! Are we girls winning yet lol?
icedtea hooray on the dress! I need more maternity pants desperately. Also so awesome about the free classes! Ours is kinda free cause you get a store coupon after the workshop AND this store is so cool. They sell at the msrp so basically the same price as amazon even though they're a super amazing small independent store. And they research the heck out of the brands they carry!
Why does cleaning feel soooo much harder when pg? I just did a bunch (and by a bunch, like 2 straight hours) of organizing/cleaning and I feel like I climbed mount everest lol. Finally I left a few small piles on the floor cause I was like nope can't bend down any more lol. On the bright side I got some stuff organized that has been a disaster for a long time!!

icedtea must see this dress! I ❤ dressing up while pregnant. I'm trying to convince myself that I shouldn't spend money on a new dress for my sprinkle when I have 4 adorable blue maternity dresses in my closet from last time but the impractical side of me wants to!
Along those lines...DH just found out that his company (a major international non profit) is doing an event in conjunction with the Washington Wizards in March. Apparently all the VIPs in the company will be there, and DH's boss was told her whole team should attend with their SOs. I'll be 33 weeks and, not being a sports fan, have no earthly clue what one should wear to a "nice" sporting event. Ideas?
icedtea no they haven't given a dress code. I think I'm going to ask his boss what she plans to wear. I know that by 33 weeks, I won't really give a flip so I need to plan it out now lol.
