That's awesome starbuck27! I need to do a major declutter of our spare bedroom so DS can move from the nursery into that room permanently. Right now it's DH's office, but basically his junk pile room. Guys think we're sentimental, he will hang on to a damn pen for 5 years! There's so much little crap, computer parts, flashlights and randomness in that room I'd like to just get a dumpster and toss it.
My parents are coming over to watch the kids so DH and I can celebrate our 5 year anniversary! Can't wait for dinner tonight and wine, I really want wine!
I miss half price books. Nice work on the decluttering. I am about ready to take that on I think. My house makes me twitchy.
We are at a Sears outlet buying a dryer. In the rain. But I will be able to dry clothes by tonight thank goodness. And thank goodness for tarps to keep it dry.

We're just spending the day at home today. We do need to go grocery shopping though and maybe we'll finally get some stuff done around the house. I need to clean up the hallway bathroom and get it set up as the kid bathroom. I'd like to go to hobby lobby and BBB to finish shopping one of these days.
Tomorrow we're supposed to go to H's aunt's house to celebrate Christmas since she couldn't make it on Christmas. We don't really want to go to that house.. it's an old lady house that smells like stale cigarettes with a new rescue dog. I'm going to be holding C the whole time.

starbuck27 That's amazing! I usually only get like 50 cents from Half Price for a box of books. I'm hoping to work on purging once DH is out of the shower. I'm with aggiebug. My house is too cluttered.

We had breakfast tacos and got haircuts this morning. Now just chillin. DH took Lillian for a run in the jogging stroller. Lilah is napping. I want to work on getting stuff out of the house. We are supposed to get a recliner for the living room and a loveseat for the playroom this weekend from my mom's SO. They're trying to clear out his condo to sell. He bought it when they got divorced. Yeah...it's complicated. No other plans.
I could totally use a purge but I would have to have a pretty good bribe for H to allow me. He's such a pack rat!
So I went to a mini continuing Ed course at work this morning. Left both kids with H and they were alive and not crying when I got home 4 hours later. I was proud of H. He says they just barely made it. I think the challenge was that E wouldn't take the bottle I left. It was the first try, so we'll have to give it another go one day.

hangry I asked DH if I could purge the house and he laughed. He said he could do it super fast if I wanted. No. I'd like to have clothes to wear. Lol. I'm the pack rat here, but I'm working on it.

We actually had a great night last night! I think I might have figured out how to get this baby to sleep at night.
This morning we went to this park that has farm animals. It was super cold out but everyone enjoyed themselves. Now we're at home eating lunch anxiously awaiting the Seahawks game.
Hi! Kids were rockstars in the car yesterday and also slept great, last night. Thanks, travel gods.
We visited my H's grandma this morning, had lunch, and took DS to a really cool playground. We're now back relaxing at my ILs and I'm hoping to sneak in a nap.
Tonight we are meeting my sister and BIL for dinner and drinks while my ILs babysit. BIL is doing a 2-month rotation here as part of his residency so my sister is here visiting this weekend. I'm so excited to see them and have a kid-free dinner.
I just got back from my ILs' house where we went for "happy hour" which was wine and some amazing cheese with crackers. DS also ended up eating dinner there so score for us!
H is doing his bedtime routine with him now and D is snoozing. She took a 2.5+ hour nap this afternoon with me in my bed. I think that is her happiest way to sleep. I caught about an hour of sleep in there too so it was really relaxing and nice.
I've got a delicious salad waiting for me to eat after DS is down and will need to decide between beer or more wine for the Pats game.

Looks great danib! I'm in desperate need of a color. My grey roots age me like 10 years. I had to go a little longer this time because my stylist is in Hawaii but I'm going next Saturday! I decided that I need to do something more drastic this time so I'm excited.
I got Colin's bathroom purged and cleaned today! We had so much crap under the sink so it felt good just tossing it all out. I got the new shower curtain up and it's looking cute so far! Just need a few more things to finish it up. Tomorrow I'm doing the hall closet! It's amazing how much more I can get done when H is home to handle C.
We had two good nights with the toddler just going to bed and thought we were past this annoying phase of multiple attempts to come out of the room. Cue tonight as I sit outside his bedroom an hour after lights went off.
waitwhat I left H with both babies (sleeping) this afternoon for about fifteen minutes while I ran out to pick up wings. About 7 minutes in I got these texts in rapid succession without me having a chance to respond :
"Where are you?" "We're ok, it's under control" "Are you close? Just curious. We're ok" "She's up and screaming" "He's up too"
Literal LOL dude. 8+ hours. Every day. And you have the nerve to say "it's not a big deal, don't stress about it". You made it SEVEN MINUTES, of which they were sleeping part of that.

Hot chocolate with Bailey's and a chocolate frosted donut. A delicious bedtime treat on a cold, wet, foggy night. Love my DH.
I got the living room, kitchen, and Lilah's room cleaned. Also went through 1/4 of Lillian's books, her kitchen toys, and the 16 lip glosses I got from a gift exchange. I kept 3 of them. I feel good about my progress. I also packed up the NB clothes finally and gave away some of it to a neighbor who is due next month. I'm putting off our room, the books/movies, and the kitchen. I know it's going to be tough to do those.
I left N for the first time today and she drank 5oz and MH was texting me when I was pulling up asking if there was more milk...Slow down dude, I was gone for not even 2 hours! She has not napped much today, I guess she's used to the car naps during the week.
We went to ILs last night after H got out of work. As a result my night was shit and here's why. I would soothe and rock a baby to sleep and then MIL would ask to hold said baby. Not wanting to look bad, I'd let her hold the baby and then use that minute to either run to the bathroom, grab a quick bite to eat, take the dog out, go see SILs room that she just painted. Every damn time she'd have the baby no less than 3 minutes and I'd come back in the room and she'd be laying the baby down on a pillow on the couch and bundling them with blankets wrapped all around them even though I've asked her thirty-hundred times not to do this. Baby would promptly wake up screaming from the shuffle.
Like stop asking to hold the baby if you're just putting them down in 2-3 minutes, just hand them back to me or don't ask to "hold them" in the first place. She specifically does this instead of handing them back to one of us, I feel like she does it on purpose bc it's how *she thinks* they should be treated - like "they shouldn't be held all the time". As a result AV was pissed beyond all reason from falling asleep and waking up so many times and slept no longer than 1-1.5 hr stretches the rest of the night until I finally just stayed up at 4:30am.
I don't get it. Do you want to hold the baby or not? "Hold the baby" means holding the damn baby GDI.
Ugh hangry I'm sorry. Toddlers be toddlerin'. kleigh, that is super annoying! She should just leave well enough alone if she doesn't actually want to hold them.
Tonight is one of those nights I just feel like I want a break. H is upstairs getting D ready for bed and so in a minute I have to go up to feed her and put her down. I almost would rather just give her a bottle. Idk why. I hope she goes down easily at least so I can get back to my beer and football lol #MOTY
kleigh so that is MIL passive aggressive way of "teaching" you? How obnoxious. Next time you are hanging out and she asks to hold them when they are sleeping I would say, oh sorry! They just fell asleep and I want them to get a good stretch now. I have 100% said that before, and have not felt guilty about it. You need to give the babies to her when they are screaming. Then she can really "show" you how to parent.

Super cute danib! Hope you're having fun out waitwhat. Omg kleigh that makes me stabby just thinking about it. How annoying!
Whew busy day today running around getting things ready. Having a joint baptism/birthday party for my two little guys. Should be fun but it's been a ton of work to get ready. DH and I both have large families so with just immediate family it's almost 25 people. I took the easy way out this time with food though - pizza!
Hi! Sorry I've been MIA lately. 2 under 2 is hard and I've been working on my nursing school application. I took the entrance exam and submitted everything earlier this week so hopefully I'll have time to be around more. I miss you ladies &I hope you're all doing well!
waitwhat So glad you had a good time out!! Moscow miles sound delicious, but crickets? HELL no!
danib Yeah I'm not doing it anymore. I needed H to see it first hand so that I wasn't the one looking bad - don't know why I felt that way but I'm always the "bad guy" so I guess that's prob why.
hangry Yeah AV in particular doesn't like MIL holding her, I'll be sure to hand her off to MIL wide awake so she can "help me out". I'm laughing thinking about it bc AV has the loudest, angriest scream cry and everyone comments on how bitterly painful it is to hear lol. MIL won't be able to take a minute of it lol.
dashook We all need a break! The fact you feel bad about that speaks volumes about how good a mom you are:-)
ETA amberlie You are a rockstar! I can't even imagine adding another day thing to my plate right now!
Busy day ahead of us. H just made coffee and I just put laundry in.
We're watching the Liverpool v Manchester United match at 11am. Then off to BRU (I want to check out/try on some SSC in store) followed by the mall bc I need makeup and then the granite/tile shop down the road. Hopefully LOs tolerate our busy day.
I really need to get a move on daycare and in home sitter for when I RTW in two weeks lol. I think I'm in denial which is why I refuse to look/interview.
kleigh I can't believe it's only 2 more weeks til you go back! Where has the time gone??
H and DS are going out this morning to a Daddy & Me brunch that my friend's husband organized. I hope they have fun. I'm laying in bed nursing D right now and all I can hear from downstairs are the melodious strains of DS's incessant whining. I'm sure he'll cheer up once they get there and he sees all the other kids.
D had another good night (5 hours, then 4, then 1.5). Of course I didn't go to bed til 12:45 because of football but I did still get some sleep. Today is a rest day on my fitness program but maybe I'll bundle her up and take a walk while the boys are out.
Morning time. @kleigh are you deciding between places or still need to locate some? (I may have anxiety for you!)
Watching Sunday Morning and not sure what we are doing today. I need some real exercise, especially after having chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast..
