On the train, making my way to the office. I got a great surprise at Starbucks this morning. Someone had paid the for the customer behind them, and that was me! So I got my banana loaf for free. But I paid it forward for the next person.

Good morning ladies! I am trying to decide if I want to take G to the library. The upside is that she gets to spend time with other kids. The downside is that it ends around nap time so I have to manage to keep her awake for the drive home. I don't know what to do. Also I have been up since 3:30. I really really hate MHs current schedule.

DH informed me it's too stressful to drop the kids off at daycare each morning. I'm not comprehending as I'm the one that gets them all ready and all he has to do is drop them off 3 miles down the road. I mean-- I can do it, but they would need dropped off waaay early which isn't fair to them.
AF is here after playing chicken for 2 days. Not pregnant 😕 Slightly bummed since now it looks like we're waiting until May to try again. That feels so far away.

marygracerich - I would take her, then blast rock music on the way home.
I wish that would work lol. The car puts her to sleep no matter how much noise there is. It's not a far trip but traffic makes it take longer than it should. Most of the time she stays awake but today I really need her to nap at home so of course it would be the day she falls asleep.

Sorry Why waiting until May?
DH is going to be on a business trip next month right when I O and then he's opposed to a holiday baby. So May. I'm ok with waiting, just a little bummed.
I found out yesterday with our new maternity policy at work that I can take 16 weeks 100% pay with this baby. FFTC: I don't know if I am going to take all 16 weeks. I can take fewer weeks and save some to use up until baby's first birthday. Decisions, decisions.

We are planning to start TTC this summer so maybe we'll be on the same BMB again!

That is awesome! With DD I was only able to take 11 weeks, we had stopped fertility treatments because I was starting a new job, and I ended up getting pregnant on my own a few weeks before starting so didn't qualify for FMLA and took a personal LOA. With LO my firm provides 16 weeks + 2 weeks before and you can then use vacation and then take another 2 months unpaid, I took the week before and then 18 weeks after and it was really nice and I feel like made such a difference in my feelings about coming back and jumping right in!
robotpcr - There are no guarantees the baby will be born on an actual holiday. I say go for it anyway!
Since we celebrate Hanukkah and the dates vary if we have a baby between the end of November and beginning of January it will definitely be a holiday baby. I'm neutral on this but DH is against it.

Ok, this makes me feel a bit better about waiting!
