Hey ladies! I'm at work right now. It's been a very quiet day. Hopefully saying that should help things pick up. I went grocery shopping this morning at Aldi. I spent $100 and got almost everything I needed. That is a win to me. I will run to the other grocery store on Monday or Tuesday to get the couple things I didn't get today.
Not much here. My mom came over for a while and we went to the local mexican place for lunch. Otherwise it's just been cleaning and relaxing. Same in store for tomorrow, and the packer game (but let's be honest.. I don't really watch).
My pump break was an hour late, but apparently I still haven't recouped my supply drop from Monday because I didn't get as much as I usually do. Now I'm pretty sure I'm starting to lose my voice, which is not awesome since I have to talk to people at work.
Rough night here. DD kept getting out of bed from like 1:30-3. H and I took turns, but I still woke up every time she opened her door. Then DS woke up an hour earlier than he usually does, because H put him to bed an hour earlier than normal. Need all the caffeine!!
I think we're going to have a lazy Sunday today. With hopefully a long nap.
Morning! Yesterday kept feeling like a Sunday to me for some reason. But today is Sunday, thankfully, because that means H is coming home. He's been gone since Wednesday for work. I hope he'll be home by early afternoon. After he's home I need to run to the store to buy diapers. Which I'm bummed about. I have an Amazon shipment arriving tomorrow and I'm not sure we're going to make it until then, so I have to go pay more at Walmart. 👎🏻 I think I have like 7 diapers left but sometimes UPS doesn't deliver here until 8pm so definitely don't think we'll stretch that long.
I will also be disappearing to my mom's, alone, sometime today. She wants me to help her hang some new decor she has, and it'll be a good little break when H gets home.
Morning! I am working again today. I'm currently laying in bed with sleeping S. If she doesn't wake soon I'm going to wake her up because I want her to fall asleep for her nap before I leave for work today.
chocolate do you have any back up stashed in your diaper bag? I would check online for a coupon before you go to the store.
Nope, that's everything. I have some pull ups that we don't use (wrong brand for DS and his skin doesn't like them) that I thought about using just for some of the day time but I think they would be massive. I'll check online. I think I paid $7 less for 50 more diapers on Amazon compared to what I'll get at Walmart. I'm going to look for just a very small pack if possible but I know the value isn't great on those either.
I don't usually run this low but daycare needed diapers this week and I never really know when that's coming, so I brought her my last chunk that I had stored.
chocolate I hate when that happens, where you're *just short* on supplies before the next shipment comes. And it always seems to happen with the expensive stuff, like diapers or formula.
We are hurting on finances at the moment. I found a couple seasonal part time jobs open nearby (hello tax season) that I think I'm going to apply for, but I'll have to make sure the pay is worth the short term care costs. I don't know how this works anymore, now that I'm a stay home mom clearly not looking for an intense job. And I really don't want to give up my time with the kid, but I also don't want to drain our savings this year. I have some thinking to do I guess.

I hear ya. Rev.com transcribing was working out pretty well for me for a while! I was making like $150/wk just with naps and night time projects. Or have you considered watching another kid? You could do an older kid before/after school. They are less maintenance and you see get your B time!

I was actually going to suggest the pre/after school care thing too! Then you still have the whole day, and often after school is just snack and homework.
rivers and roads how was your bff night?!?!? I went out last night for the first time since Lu was born. Stayed at one of my best friends in the city. Drank more than I intended (but still not too much, or at least I cut myself off early enough, because I feel okay today, thank all things holy). It was so nice to be out and have delicious dinner at a fancy restaurant and cheap drinks at our favorite dive. And then we stayed up obscenely late talking and laughing and drinking water before bed, haha. It was all awesome.

What is this rev.com thing you speak of? Do I need a special degree for it?

I looked at Rev a while ago but then didn't do it. I'll have to look again. I thought about the other kid thing but I'm undecided on it. Part of my whole one and done thing is that I don't want another kid interfering with my B time (and silly as that may sound) so idk. If I found a local after school type gig I'd consider it, but small town and all I can't just swoop and find something like that easily. We'll see.

Urgh. So congested here, but I seem to be the only one. Ryan popped his 7th tooth overnight which was actually pretty painless. He had one wake up where we think he was sore but then slept for 6 hrs so it wasn't too bad of a night. Groceries this morning and physio for Dh, I'm making lasagna now (2 days worth of supper) but I'm unmotivated to get up and finish...lol. But I want the yummy results. And Ryan will be getting milk in his next feed. Because I'm about 3 weeks from work! *insert crying emoji

So when we moved into our old apartment 4 years ago, mail from the previous tenant kept coming. I kept writing return to sender and sending everything back but it kept coming. Whatever. It should stop when we move, right? No. Somehow his mail has also started coming to our house now. Not often, but often enough that it pisses me off. (How in the hell did his name get stuck with our forwarding service? I need to call the post office.) Anyway, today in my tired (5 hours of sleep) crank, I decided I'm going to look this guy up on Facebook and tell him to fix his shit. But, he's not on there. So I Google stalk him.
Are you ready for this??
Shortly after we moved into that apartment, this dude was apparently involved in a domestic violence incident followed by a murder-suicide. What. The. Fuck.
I guess this means I can start throwing his mail in the trash..... right?

Whoa tkford216 so he was the murderer I take it? Creepy. Is it junk mail that comes? Maybe you need to call places to get off their subscription list or something.

Yes he murdered his girlfriend and then shot himself. *shudder* It appears to be mostly junk mail.

That sounds so great for you! You especially deserve it after surviving all the sickness in your house. I'm glad!
My night was fun! We went out to a fancy restaurant (she even coordinated ahead of time with my 2 local friends here, so they came) and then to a bar. The bar was really not my style, but I felt bad to ask to go somewhere else, so I sucked it up and had fun anyways! We were home by 12:30 and they ended up starting their drive after dropping me off to get a head start. So much driving for them, but I'm so thankful!

mrssmith613, no special degree! You just need to be able type quickly (and accurately) to make it worth your time. The application takes about an hour to complete because you have to read all their styling rules and do a sample transcription. If you speak another language, they also do translating documents, which pay a lot more!

I think I'm going to have to apply when I get home just for a little extra money!
