Hehe. Ok, so my H's first language is Russian, and he sometimes (endearingly, I hope) calls me хрюшка, which means piggy. Hrushka is my terrible cyrillic-latin transliteration. So since my username was essentially pig, I decided to use a pig as my avatar - and this was the cutest one I could find.
I still need to check if the image is OK to use. If it's not, there goes my poor little piggy ...

bluefairy5 We went to New Orleans for a wedding several years ago and I wasn't sure I'd like it since I'm not a big partier/drinker. It's such a fun place to visit though! There's so much history and I got to hold a baby crocodile (alligator? Whats the difference again?) so there's that! We had a lot of fun and I'd definitely go back again!
bluefairy5 If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I'd probably stay here in NYC, I'd just do it with a lot more cash money LOL (But really, I'm not sure I want to move away from here until I'm in my dotage. I love it.)
karabear4409 What is your ideal dinner date type of restaurant to go out to? (This question brought to you by the fact that you post a lot of helpful "what's for dinner?" threads so I was thinking about how I hope you get to go out or order in occasionally )
Sorry I'm late. I haven't been in this thread!
Tapas with lots of different appetizers and wine/cocktails or a casual place with live music, preferably on the beach.

kaf7 Is there such a thing as a bad donut? I seriously love them all... unless they have nuts. My go-to is a blueberry iced cake donut. I always love anything filled though... whether it's filled with lemon (my fave filled) or any other fruit, or filled with cream. They're all good. I also love the iconic pink iced with sprinkles. But even just plain glazed is a winner in my book. Oh! And apple fritters! And cider donuts! Oh jeez. You're killing me kaf!
mg0202 what did you have for dinner tonight? And what is your skin care routine?
rainbowbridge14 I was super stumped. Probably the last movie I watched (Allied).... I cry at everything.
fightersince83 pro or con identical clothing for the lads (and multiples in general).
I'm against identical clothing for my triplets (except maybe for occasional photo shoots). I want them to feel like individuals and I think always making them match takes that from them a bit. Just my opinion for my boys.
Remind me, what did you study in college? Do you use that knowledge in your current career? And, finally, what was your dream job as a kid?
Hai! I started out in elementary ed and then realized I have no patience once I got in the classroom so I switched to a degree that let me customize my major. I chose business and communications. I was using that knowledge as a systems analyst. I'm currently not working but hope to put it to use again soon.
My dream job as a kid was to be an archeologist. I was the biggest tomboy and loved being outside.
oceanhutt , do you have a hut on the ocean as your screen name implies?
Aww...I can totally see you as a little kid archeologist! How cute! Good luck on the job search!
blueinred I went with some friends to the march in DC. It was a fabulous experience. I was feeling so depressed on Friday. To be with all those people Saturday was very uplifting and gave me hope. Everyone was so polite and supportive. It was peaceful and powerful.
mrswillie I was talking with some of the girls at work last week about how we use to peg our jeans. They had no idea what I was talking about. Maybe it was a regional thing?
@diordra I know you love Harry Styles, but which boy band was your favorite growing up?
mugster What was your favorite and least favorite gym class activity?
hmmm.... I liked gym. I could never do pull-ups so I hated the day we did those for the president's physical fitness test... I also kind of disliked running the mile, because other people took too long to finish and we spent too much time waiting around (I was a total brat).
I once skipped a class and played field hockey with someone else's gym class... fun times.
I'll be back with a question. I'm supposed to be working, ooops...

Ooh that's a tall order to choose 5 actual top. I'll try:
- His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman 😠- Persuasion by Jane Austen (love P&P, but this one is IT for me) - The Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain (OMG this book is so funny. I can't even describe it.) - Lord of the Rings - The Orphan's Tale by Catherynne M. Valente

mg0202 I can't imagine pegging jeans in Boston you would freeze except in summer
I grew up in Michigan. I guess middle school me didn't care. I also spent a couple years wearing shoes instead of boots, in the snow. The things we do to fit in.
Ok, so I was born in the early 80s and I have never seen that style by any name. Am I a wrong generation? Was I just fashionably clueless? Did it never hit Canada?
I will note that fashionably clueless is perhaps the most likely...

My DH was born mid 70's and apparently it was the cool thing when he was in high school (maybe middle school too). I was an early 80's kid and we did not do this. You probably just missed this fad

I love the less well known Austen novels. Mansfeild Park is my fave.
