QOTW: My brain isn't functioning due to shitty sleep lately, so instead I'll just ask.. does anybody want to take this over soon? We graduate to toddlerhood in 3 weeks!
Milestones: He can stand on his own when he doesn't think about it.
Challenges: The temper tantrums are real! Ugh!
Funny/cute story: The other day he was holding a pair of my socks and he was going off on them. I'm not sure what they did, but he was not impressed. He rules over his kingdom with an iron fist.
How are you? I'm OK. Starting to feel normal again, which is nice.
QOTW: My brain isn't functioning due to shitty sleep lately, so instead I'll just ask.. does anybody want to take this over soon? We graduate to toddlerhood in 3 weeks! I would but we graduate the week after you!
Milestones: Says Dada and plays hide and seek! She will often play in the morning when we're still in bed and she peeks out the side of the blanket before pulling it back and it cracks me up. Cheating at peek a boo, little snot.
Challenges: she's STILL sick. Getting over it, but still sick. And now I've got it and can't stop coughing so sleep had been awful. I keep waking her up.
Funny/cute story: see above
How are you? Doing okay for the most part. We get our new car today, so I'm super excited about that. It's been so long without a car!
GTKY: I'm terrible at remembering. Sorry. If no one else is able I can try, though.
Milestones: Sitting unassisted and rocking on all fours!
Challenges: HFM…
Funny/cute story: DD1 always was and still is a screamer when she wakes up. I have never walked into the nursery to a happy baby until DD2 came along! Girl is always just playing and smiling away when I go in to get her. She's always so happy to see whomever walks in to get her!
How are you? Starting to see straight. We have been 3 weeks of colds and then HFM going from DD1 to DD2, then to H. My one ear was clogged from what I thought was my cold but I got checked out finally on Monday and it was a double ear infection. Finally I am starting to feel like myself, and my family is starting to be healthy again!
QOTW: I would offer but my participation is spotty at best. I just wouldn't want to take on something and not follow through.

Age: 6 months on Friday! Where oh where has the time gone?!??
Milestones: he is rolling from back to belly consistently and is sitting up better. We also de swaddled/woombie and moved him into the Zippadee Zip to transition. He wants to eat all the food right out of my hand. I let him nibble on a bit of pork chop as I ate mine and he loved it.
Challenges:I am somewhat freaking out about him starting solids. I think he would respond to BLW really well but the fear of choking is on my mind a lot. I have offered some purred and he does ok with those but is more enthused when I offer him a bit of toast, sweet potato, etc. off my plate.
I just don't know what to do and it's pretty much time to decide.
Funny/cute story: Today when I picked S up from daycare he was so happy to see me that he got this big grin on his face and started kicking and trying to wiggle towards me. I love that he is so happy to see me.
How are you? Ok, tired

I can take over after that if no one else wants to. I can post it while I am pumping at work.

I was worried about the choking risk when we started BLW, but it's so much easier than I thought it would be. It took me some time to trust her abilities, but it always surprises me what she can handle. And if she has an issue with something or it's too big she just spits it out.
Just start slowly and give it time. You'll figure it out soon enough. And you can always do a combination of BLW and purees.
taberbtb that sounds like a rough time, glad you are feeling better.
sarcaztic10 sounds like the job is yours! I couldn't handle blw so we did purees. Plus, I really liked making his purees and he liked eating from a spoon. We slowly introduced thicker textures and then small finger foods and now he eats whole food, taking bites like a big kid. No matter how you choose to do it, it will all be okay. If you do go the route of blw, do a little research on gagging/coughing vs choking so you can get used to that sound being normal. GL!
Milestones: He can stand on his own! He's also been working on his fork skills.
Challenges: Omg. This week has been shit for sleep. Idk what is going on with him but he is clingy and cranky and has woken up for a 2-3 hour stint motn the last 3 nights. I know the next leap starts soon, so maybe that's it. He's also super drooly and has a diaper rash though, so I'm wondering if he's working on his first molars. I'm not ready for molars!
Funny/cute story: His thing has been stacking lately. He's constantly putting one thing on top of another. This morning it was a strawberry on top of his sippy cup, like the actual spout. He was so proud of himself, lol.
How are you? I'm fine, just tired from his wakeups. I found a couple mom friends nearby, so that's good.
