M woke up with one eye crusted shut with yellow gunk and dried snot all over her face. (Sorry, gag) But she hasn't had a fever since Sunday so off to the sitter's she goes I guess. Poor kid. She does not seem like she feels well at all, I feel really bad.
We're all still sick, but W woke up smiling which is the best.
Now I'm at work and some of the ladies that have teenagers are talking about social media and having to look through their kids phones and apps that look like games but when you open them it's really for social media and I'm over here like "Lalalala W will never grow up."

The thought of having teenagers takes away any baby fever I might have had. Thank you.

Hi! I posted on parenting about this but I haven't been getting a ton of sleep because of G's night time partying. I turned the monitor down last night (MH turned it back up before he left for work so that I would hear her in the morning) and I actually slept! It was glorious. I actual feel like a human today.

Probably a very UO, but I don't think baby monitored are needed at this age. We still use one because DH has anxiety, but I can hear Eli just fine from across the hall if he's crying, etc.

Awww. So sorry. Just glad she is feeling a tiny bit better.

I probably don't need it either. Our room is right next to ours. We literally share a wall. However we have one in our room and one in the kitchen for times when we are not in her room with her. For instance, I left her in her room to play while I took a shower just now. It's baby proofed so I am comfortable doing so. But I took the monitor from my bedroom and brought it in the bathroom so I can hear her over the water. Her room is next door to the bathroom and I leave the door open but the monitor makes it easier for me to hear her.

Glad you got some sleep! If M is being restless at night I turn the monitor off too

I am with you on this one. We stopped using the monitor around 8 or 9 months. Our rooms are right next to each other. We recently started shutting our door along with his door. But that is more so to keep the cats out of the rooms while we sleep. We used to put them in the basement at night, but they started crying and pounding on the basement door which is right next to R room and waking him up.

So my H has not slept well the past few nights and he has gotten up super early for our house. Apparently R wakes up around 6 ish but normally doesn't wake us up till 7 or 730.
I wake to hear R saying "mommy, all done!!!" Hello? Hello? okay! OKAY!!!!
I'm trying to export data files at work. Each one is taking 10 minutes. I have 12 files. I have to hang out at a lab computer until they're done. Lucky me.
Had my annual salary review. I got a raise, which I'm very happy about but my manager apologized because he feels I'm grossly underpaid, which is true.
H and I both work in the same field and are within 2 years of each other experience wise. He makes more than double what I make. Even within my company I make less than 86% of the people with my job title. Fun fact morale booster for my Wednesday.
We've been talking about upgrading to a video monitor. DD1 is moving to a big girl bed and I want to be able to see what she is doing in there.
The video monitor is my absolute favorite thing. We didn't have one at first but I love that thing.
We have an audio one and it's ok. It has served it's purpose so far, but 1) DD1 played with the one in the living room causing a short in it and 2) we will need one for the new baby. So I figure it's time to upgrade.
Cold weather Mamas....best snow gloves/mittens for our lil toddler?? We went to the mountains this weekend and bought a last minute pair but they kept falling off. Any kind that stays put while he plays in the snow???
Hi Ladies! Getting A down for his nap right now. He's teething and keeps pushing on his ears. I hope it's just teething related and not another ear infection.
Oh, tomorrow I am driving an hour away to go to Trader Joe's. I know they have a good selection of vegan foods, so that's why I'm going. With A's dairy allergy, it's very hard to keep his meals and snacks interesting. Those of you who shop Trader Joe's, what are some foods your kiddos love? I'll have to check the ingredients, of course, but looking for ideas!

So many things! M likes their marinated tofu, frozen "tofu" nuggets, frozen falafel, oatmeal squares cereal, frozen mini pancakes, various snack bars, veggie corn dogs, black bean taquitos, various pasta options, crackers, nut butters, freeze dried fruit, veggie chips, and a ton of other things.
