Cold weather Mamas....best snow gloves/mittens for our lil toddler?? We went to the mountains this weekend and bought a last minute pair but they kept falling off. Any kind that stays put while he plays in the snow???
I have found that if you put the mittens on 1st and then the coat helps them stay on.

G fought her nap for more than an hour. She fell asleep at 2. She just woke up at 4:20. Bedtime is so screwed. I would have woken her up a little earlier but I fell asleep too. Damn.
I can't remember right now who was asking about scripts for calling representatives, but this seems like an organized and helpful way to get started: 5calls.org

I dont have these but have heard awesome reviews for Stonz mits and boots.
Omg. Most Wednesday nights my sitter drops M off to DH at home before I get there. But every so often I have to pick her up and then try to get stuff ready for the next day and make dinner and get everyone fed and it's pure hell every time. That hour and a half is torture. DH walks in the door 20 mins before her bedtime and acts like I'm being super overdramatic and I want to murder him. I would like for him to pick her up, fight her into the car, and then do all the shit I do in that time while she hangs off my leg and screams.

Oh yes. My H has the balls to say "you're always so annoyed and frustrated. It's not enjoyable to be around"
Oh I'm sorry. I just dealt with a tantruming toddler while you were blissfully unaware of the shit show that is life.
Men!
Tell your DH to think about what you can do to help him feel better?
Ever since I got my braces off like... 15 years ago, I've had zero dental issues so this one is making me so frustrated! I go to my cleanings regularly and always get a thumbs up.
Then there is my H who hasn't been to the dentist in 20 years and he never has issues.
I was blessed with naturally weak teeth and almost always have cavities no matter what I do, including one that I ended up needing a root canal and crown for so yeah, I get it. It's good that it sounds like a random freak thing? So hopefully after this you can go back to normal. (And some people have all the luck.)
W basically hates me if H is around. Which hurts, but is especially frustrating because he does basically nothing for her except play. She should have been in bed 20 minutes ago, and she won't tolerate me touching her so she's still up. H doesn't get up during the night with her. He doesn't do baths, etc.
Dude in a few months I'm going to have a newborn and you're going to have to step up and parent W. Start practicing now.

Haiiiii. Just checking in now. Today was a complete shit show at work and I didn't get home til 830. We had some major changes organizationally recently and the repercussions are just starting to happen so managing people through the change has become 98% of my job (while still doing my "actual" job, of course). Accordingly, DH is pissed that I am late but he's still being a dick from the other night so I'm kind of indifferent to it.
I'm going to drink a glass of wine, watch some tv and go to bed.
Oh, tomorrow I am driving an hour away to go to Trader Joe's. I know they have a good selection of vegan foods, so that's why I'm going. With A's dairy allergy, it's very hard to keep his meals and snacks interesting. Those of you who shop Trader Joe's, what are some foods your kiddos love? I'll have to check the ingredients, of course, but looking for ideas!
So many things! Â M likes their marinated tofu, frozen "tofu" nuggets, frozen falafel, oatmeal squares cereal, frozen mini pancakes, various snack bars, veggie corn dogs, black bean taquitos, various pasta options, crackers, nut butters, freeze dried fruit, veggie chips, and a ton of other things.
Thanks! I'm excited to go tomorrow and see what I can find. I hate that it's far away, but if A likes what I buy, then I'll have to make it a bi-weekly or monthly thing and stock up.

Should have posted this earlier but there's still 90 mins left.... today is #BellLetsTalk day in Canada to raise funds for mental health initiatives. For every tweet, FB or IG post using that hashtag, Bell Canada will donate 5 cents to mental health awareness/treatment/support etc.
If you frequent social media, use the hashtag and take some corporate funds to improve the lives of everyday people!
It's already surpassed 100,000,000 individual tweets/retweets/shares so it's a big deal.

Bring a cooler and spend some time in the frozen section!
