I borrowed a book on behavior that J's teacher recommended for us.. Literally the first example described J to a tee. I'm only 2 chapters in and I may just buy the book. It is what they do in his classroom and is super effective.

But the good news? He doesn't meet the other criteria so apparently he is inflexible.

cagoldi I also ordered "how to talk so kids will listen" based on the reviews...Figure between the two books I should feel slightly more prepared.
My pedi just said that her daughter was a spirited toddler and was brutal when her second was born...But is now the nicest 10 year old ever. We said we hoped we didn't have to wait until 10 and she laughed, but it was close to 5 before she stopped being a terror. Great.
