Or do we just want a toddler check in and a preschooler check in?
Anyone volunteer to pick any of these check ins back up? I could do the 2 and the preschool if we want them. Or I could potentially just do the "bigger kids" check in.

Instead of pre school can it be something like older child check in. I think a few if us have kids already in elementary or starting elementary this year. J will be in kindergarten thus fall (sniff:(

There are several that have or are about to "graduate" the young toddler check in. It would be awesome if there was a place for after that. I have no insight into how different the issues are for raising a 2 year old a 3 year old but maybe those could be combined at first until it makes sense to split and then an older kids 4+ check in.
ETA or happy to change the young toddler check in to go beyond 24 months if that makes more sense.
Kids still rapidly develop throughout those years. Why not try the 2-3 together and the 4+ and see how it shakes out number wise? Remember when we had to split young vs older infant just because of the boom? Perhaps we should just pick something and see how many people end up in each one and if the support is appropriate and be open to changing it in a few months if it doesn't feel right.
I'm just going to put this out there. You all can do what you want and it won't hurt my feeling but just a suggestion. I think I'm currently the only one with a child in elementary school. As more kids join in soon, you might want to have a check in specifically for that. In my experience, elementary school is quite different than preschool and comes with some big changes, so lumping the older kids into 4+ doesn't make sense to me since 4yos are still preschool age. Again, just my 2 cents.
leahb12, thanks for the insight. I had gotten the sense you were the only one in the elementary group right now too and I didn't want you to be in a solo check in. But if you're willing to divide it as you suggested and wait for others to age in I think that's great. I think others will get there in the next 6m.
kaf7 I'm laughing at the thought of me checking in with myself. Haha. But I think you're right, some kids will age in in the next 6 months or so. Maybe then I'll start it.
I've got an almost 2 year old and almost 4 year old. I think of them in different groups, especially since the 4 year old will be in pre-k next year. I see a lot of volunteers, but I'll volunteer for something too!
