I had a scare today. I started spotting and totally freaked out. So I went into the office to get checked out and they did an US. The baby looks good and we could see the heartbeat fluttering. It is still too early to hear it though. I was so relieved to see the baby in my uterus. I have been having dizzy spells and right sided pain and I was so scared I had an ectopic pregnancy. Now I can breathe. She put me on pelvic rest and told me to call of anything changes. I'm in need of a nap after all that excitement this morning.
@helgahufflepuff, we are going on week 3 of HFM. My daughter keeps getting new spots every few days. I called the dr today and sent in pictures to the office bc I don't think it's suppose to last this long. She never ran a fever either, she just broke out in a weird rash.
That's how DD had it too. No fever, just spots. Hers lasted at least 2-3 weeks. The doctor told me she was still contagious until her spots scabbed over since she had no fever. It probably took 2 weeks for them to scab over. And of course it was summer so we had to be careful not to be around other kids. It was a long few weeks.

I'm so glad all looks ok leviosa I've had spotting twice this pregnancy and no matter how much I read of "it's usually nothing if it's just spotting" I still get pretty panicked. It's scary stuff!

Scan went great today, I don't know how to post on mobile, so can't post pics. Baby is measuring right on track. Scheduled my cerclage for a week from today and will do genetic testing that day too. Can't believe we will know the sex in a few weeks. I'm so so thankful everything is progressing.

leviosa that SUCKS!I think it all just depends on the severity. When we had the outbreak at DC, they said you are contagious for ten days before you have symptoms!! That's insane. Plus, it's viral so there's nothing you can do but ride it out. The nice thing though, is that she shouldn't get it again now.
Sorry to report there are 5 different strands of the virus. My dd has had 2 of them!

She won't get this strain ever again? She has had HFM before. She had several sores on her tongue and she had a high fever for 3 days. It was awful. Way worse than this.

God I was in such a bitchy mood today. I'm feeling better now and I hope I can shake it before I have to volunteer tomorrow. No one wants grouchy free help!

laurenash323, great news! So, so happy for you guys. Your cerclage is early (I am jealous). My doc won't do it till 14 weeks (in case of first trimester loss, I guess?)

TMI alert, but also PSA: An excellent BM significantly reduces the bloat. Highly recommended. Huzzah!
Agreed...I actually wore my regular jeans, buttoned all day yesterday (but I had diarrhea all day...but I got everything cleared out) haha.
Haha this is so me today! I put on my regular work pants and was like hey! They actually fit! I'm sure in a few days I'll be all swollen and bloated again so I'll enjoy it while it lasts!
I had every idea of scrubbing the floor during quiet time but now riding a wave of nausea. So that will have to wait. One of my friends point blanked asked me when we were having another. I didn't say anything so she kept asking questions. I finally told her. She figured out I was pregnant with DD too before I had told anyone. Oh well. She has had a few losses herself so she helped me a lot through our previous loss so I guess I don't mind her knowing....

Oh not on my hands and knees! I have a mop that sprays the water on the floor. There is dried mud in our foyer that has been there for a few weeks. And there are countless times the kids have spilled milk on the kitchen floor. But meh, it's going to wait a while I think...
