1. If you could vacation in any tropical beach in the world, money is no object, where would you go? Bonus points for pics. Inspired by mommyatty 's Jamaican vacation.
2. What's your favorite article of clothing that you own?

1. Hawaii. I dream of going there even though I live in a tropical country with tons of beautiful beaches. I'd like to stay at the Four Seasons, please and thank you

1. I've always wanted to rent a catamaran for 10 days in Thailand with a cook and captain and just lay on the net and look into the water all day. Like - all day. The kids wouldn't be allowed to come for fear that they would talk to me while I was staring into the water. In fact, no one but MH would be allowed to come b/c I wouldn't want anyone talking to me at all. The view would be something like this:
2. Friends and family would tell you that I love my old college sweatshirt (it's a 6x and always fits...), but I would say a my black patent leather wide belt and my patent leather black pumps. Anytime I get to wear those is a good time.

1. Hawaii/Maui. If money was no object, I'd find the most expensive place to stay (must be on the beach) and stay in their penthouse.
2. Probably my navy blue BCBGMaxAzria dress. It's really flattering and it was a splurge. DH had gotten me a gift certificate there (yes, a real paper gift certificate, so it's at least 5 years old) because apparently I had said a number of times how I had wanted to get a dress from there sometime, but they were so expensive. I bought it while we were on a trip.
1. I would love to go to Hawaii. I told DH that for our 25th wedding anniversary, I want to renew our vows on the beach at sunset with any family that wants to join us. We have 10 years to save up.
2. A Disney sweatshirt that my DH bought for me on our honeymoon (which was almost 15 years ago). It is an XL and a little big, but it is perfect for lounging around in. And it reminds me of a special time in our lives.
1. If you could vacation in any tropical beach in the world, money is no object, where would you go? Bonus points for pics. Inspired by mommyatty 's Jamaican vacation. French Polynesia. The pictures I have seen from there are breathtaking. Plus, it seems like a very high roller vacation.
2. What's your favorite article of clothing that you own? I have a sweatshirt from grad school that I love for lounging. My favorite article of clothing that I would actually wear in public is either a black sleeveless dress from White House Black Market or a nude dress from Ann Taylor that has a black lace overlay.
1. A tropical isle in the Pacific for sure. Hard to choose, but I'll go with Bora Bora because of this pic
2. I don't have any articles of clothing that are several years old that I still wear now; I am more trend specific. The closest thing might be my bright orange peacoat.
1. Hmmm. I don't know much about most of the Caribbean islands, so I have no idea of the pros and cons of visiting them. DH and I went to Costa Rica in 2009 and loved it. A little bit of beach goes a long way with me, so I enjoyed the mixture of beach and other stuff (ziplining in rainforest, volcanic hot springs). I've been to Hawaii with my family and wasn't super impressed. I would definitely go back to Costa Rica over Hawaii again.
2. I love my knee length black wool coat that I've had for nearly 10 years. It's held up well and I feel very grown up when I wear it. It's Kenneth Cole Reaction that I got a great deal on at an outlet mall near Boston.
1. Greece. I've never been, but every time I see pictures I'm in love. We would go now, but we are waiting until the kids are older to go to Europe with them. DH is scared of the flight.
2. Right now, black pajamas I got from Target. They are absurdly comfy but very flattering. If I have to choose something I would leave the house in, it's my gray skirt suit with a red blouse underneath. I always feel really pretty and like I can kick someone's proverbial ass when I wear that suit. Plus, I settled a huge case that could have bankrupted my company for nuisance value (the cost of trying the case or less) when I was wearing that suit. It has good mojo.

1. Hmmm. I haven't ever looked into all of the possibilities but Hawaii is high on the list. Somewhere that is somewhat secluded would be great as well.
2. I don't really have any favorites. I'm heavier than I've ever been and feel like nothing looks good on me. When I was thinner, I had some Express jeans that looked really good on me. I'm looking forward to fitting in them again soon.

1. Matangi Private Island Resort in Fiji. It's a private island and it's gorgeous. No kids, obviously.
2. My favorite for fashion or comfort? Comfort would definitely be my oversized maroon Wawa hoodie LOL Every time I wear it, someone comments on how cool it is to have a Wawa hoodie #regional

1. Vacation that will actually happen: Maui. Vacation that I'd like to have happen is one of the over the water bungalows in the south pacific somewhere. Someday! 2. Right now, it's a light flannel shirt dress I bought for super cheap. Fits great, can be dressed up and down, and worn anywhere. I think it's going to be a single season piece, since I've worn it on dates with H, for holiday photos, parties, and out with friends more than once. Actual favorite is an old sweatshirt I stole from H many years ago - so comfy.
1. I...don't even know. I guess I wouldn't be too picky if someone offered me a trip somewhere tropical because I've never been. 2. Probably my black motorcycle jacket, b/c it has the power to make me feel 50% more badass when I wear it.
Vacation: Hawaii, I've heard Kauai has some really beautiful beaches. We've been to Honolulu and it was fun but not relaxing. Hawaii is a 6 hour direct flight for us so makes a lot of sense. I would love to go to Costa Rica but 18+ hours of flying, ouch. If money was no concern I would take a trip to New Zealand and Australia for a month.
Favorite Clothes: Right now I would say my fabletics leggings as I wear them maybe 3 times a week under skirts and dresses.

1. Those over the water bungalows in fiji look pretty great. Sorry it's not original but you can't mess with perfection.
2. I have some pajama pants that say Swim Bike Mom on them and I love them. I also love a long straight gray skirt I have that I like to pair with a very flattering black top that I think I got from Banana Republic. The skirt I got a million years ago at 5-7-9, which I think is not even a store anymore. But it's very comfortable but looks very professional.
1. I would say Whitsunday Islands, Australia - we went there for our honeymoon and stayed at this amazing resort that you had to get to by helicopter. There were only three couples staying there at a time and they had a boat that took you to different islands/beaches everyday. It was pretty incredible. But I couldn't go back in real life because the resort is unfortunately out of business now (given that we, as mere mortals, could afford three nights there, I'm guessing it wasn't super profitable). I think I want to go to Tahiti or Bora Bora or Fiji for my 40th birthday in 4.5 years. We went to Europe for DH's 40th last May and I think the next time we can get away without kids for a week will be for mine.
2. Favorite would have to be some of my dresses. Longest-running would be a blue zip-up fleece I bought at Old Navy in college that has held up super well and I still wear multiple times per week. It probably cost $15 originally.

I almost forgot about 5-7-9! That's a blast from the past
