Hey everyone! I've been unbelievably busy lately, but wanted to give you guys a life update:
I'm in school and have an internship. I'm working in an agency that provides services to domestic violence victims. I'm kind of rocking it.
Doug is doing great, he's so smart. I can't even with him sometimes. He has started on his own, writing words and has some sight words now. He likes to write Hello I Love You, but kind of loses it after "Hello" with the e backwards. We live around the corner from that National Museum of the Air Force and are there all the time. He can name a HUGE chunk of the planes, but when he can't he makes it up "That's the C-one-forty-twenty-seven" He can tell the difference between the SR-71 Blackbird, the U2 and the Night Hawk. Black Jets seem to be his favorite. He also loves going to the science museum but seems to be losing interest in his train table, but not trains.
Finn has recently started crawling on all 4s at 8 months. He's 24 pounds and easily in 18 month clothes. He remains in the 90ish percentiles for height and weight. As I said up there, he's been dealing with ear infections and last night he only woke up once for the first time since he was three months old. He has 4 teeth on top and 3 on the bottom. He skipped baby food altogether and one of his first foods was guacamole, on accident at 6 months. He loves to wave and bounce to any music and is generally the happiest most easy going baby that's ever happened. His nicknames these days are Finny-beau, Moose and Booboo. He doesn't want to snuggle he wants to stand and has started furniture cruising a little.
Dan is in school full time so that has been challenging for the both of us to get all of our homework and such done but we're making it work. I wish we had more date time, or just time to be him and us, but that'll happen eventually.
I'm about to go get my IUD before this administration makes birth control illegal. I love you guys and I'm sorry I'm not around much. Also, if Doug's hair looks a little rangy in this picture it's because I've been teaching myself how to give him and Dan haircuts at home.
