Working today. I have a weird lump feeling in my throat kind of like when I had strep but I'm feeling better from my cold and I don't have a fever so.... idk? Weird. It's annoying so hopefully it goes away soon.

I'm putting deposits down on my kid's future birthday parties. Shit is expensive! Quentin is having a laser tag party, Lydia is having a Dairy Queen party, and Eli will probably have a cafe and play party.

Ugh. I hate that feeling. I've had it before, too.

It's crazy expensive! We only do those kinds of parties ever couple of years. I have to pay for a first communion party this year. 35 people at a restaurant...I'm trying to ignore that cost.

Good morning all! I have nothing going on today. G and I will hang out all day. Then when MH gets home (around bedtime 🙄) I will head out to work. When I do head out I will be wearing black and white for baby Jack.

hotcoconuts82 - We decided no more parties at our home, so offsite only. This is because we end up cleaning for 8-9 hours and then people are disrespectful and destroy our house or spill food all over the carpet, so I'd rather shell out the big bucks than deal.

It is nice not having to clean and prepare for a party! DH wanted to do the communion party at our house. With canopies and tables set up in the back yard and a caterer. Nope, nope, nope!

G and her kitchen always amuse me. She is currently obsessed with the blender because when you put it on the platform it spins and make noise. She also put Lumiere from her Disney Little People set in the window of the kitchen and its cracking me up.

I know, I think it's so funny to see what M comes up with to cook. Normally she is "making copfee". Or cheese or bread, which normally means putting one of those in a pot on the stove. And she still loves to microwave all her animal toys.

One of the reasons I am glad we didn't baptize J (DH is catholic, I would consider myself atheist). DHs family is huge and *everyone* HAS to be invited and these things are always over the top (think 300 person baby shower for DHs cousin's wife).
The cost is insane and I have other things to pay for like daycare and mortgage.
H and I both have huge families. It makes me dread parties and events. W's first bday had 85 people invited- that was grandparents, aunts/uncles, and first cousins. We spent almost $800 on food alone for that party. It's overwhelming.

CatLady, I like my new foundation! It really evens out my skin tone (pregnancy was not kind to my skin). And I feel like I use less product to to get the coverage i need compared to bare minerals. I would like to get a better brush to use with it.
The shades are kind of wonky. They run dark. I would definitely see it in person first.

Wow. I could not imagine $800 on food!
We had the main dishes catered because lolno to cooking for that many people while also getting everything else ready.
Well, my kid was the baby slapper at story time this morning so that was awesome.
W is on a slapping kick too. Mostly with me, though she did hit a boy at the play place a few weeks ago. I don't know what to do about it other that timeouts and telling her that we don't hurt people.
All the Olds have told me to hit her back so she knows what it feels like, but I don't like that idea.

Yeah that whole hit back/bite back thing never made sense to me. I don't think that would make any sense to a toddler.
