DD's baptism is this weekend. We invited about 25 people, which is small for our families. I also let everyone know we will be going out for breakfast after Mass, but we aren't paying for everyone's meal. I'm probably an asshole. This is only close family (parents, grandparents, siblings). I'm really hoping my kid doesn't tantrum will being Baptized.

Sunday: no nap Monday: 2 1/2 hour nap because of course she did, people were here and wanted to see her. Today: she has been in her crib for 40 minutes and no nap so far.
I finally heard back from EI and have N's evaluation scheduled for March 1st. WTAF for booking so far away! That was the earliest they could fit me in. I knew it could take a while, but man... after nothearing from them for 2 weeks and then booking a month away for the actual eval is crazy.
stratto814 @meggriffin was it like that for you guys too?

I heard from them right away, like maybe 3 days after I called them- then they booked the eval 2 weeks after. Brady qualified and started services the following week. Our office was much faster then yours, hopefully after you get started things will speed up for you.
CatLady, I like my new foundation! It really evens out my skin tone (pregnancy was not kind to my skin). And I feel like I use less product to to get the coverage i need compared to bare minerals. I would like to get a better brush to use with it.
The shades are kind of wonky. They run dark. I would definitely see it in person first.

Some places that do autism assessments will be booked out 6-9 months. It's really unfortunate and we need more people in EI.

Oh OF COURSE. This is 100% always the way in our house.

G fell asleep at 2 and it's now 3:15. Thank goodness she is getting a nap in. She is such a mess by 5:30 if she doesn't nap. I really want grilled cheese and onion rings right now. From a diner. But I am on a diet until my cruise (in 12 days 😄) so I won't be indulging. A girl can dream though.

yikes that's crazy! I guess my month wait isn't all that bad then
Speaking of EI- L had been giving his therapist a hard time with some of the the things she wanted him to do and we realized just how socially motivated he is so we're switching it up and taking a break from one on one EI and moving into a play group. He went for the first time today and LOVED it!! I'm so excited! I think this is going to be amazing!
that's awesome! Did you ever figure out what to do about the whole car seat situation with the daycare?
I see a few of you are having issues with naps. Naps aren't really an issue here but bedtime is. Some nights are worse than others. DS used to be in bed around 8pm every night but lately it can be as late as 10:30pm.
Last night was just before 10pm then he was awake at 4am and ended up in bed with us which I hate doing.
Does an earlier nap make sense so he's tired by bedtime? He usually goes in for his nap some time between 12 and 2pm and sleeps anywhere from 1-3 hours.
obi I would honestly just let him go without a bath as long as he hasn't been like literally rolling in dirt. Maybe a baby wipe on the face/hands if needed. I wouldn't shower with DS at this point because he would probs try to walk around the tub and then slip, and then I've got a whiny slippery kid that I can't reach because I can't bend, and I can't even see him because the belly is all encompassing..... not like this has happened before lol... Godspeed

Do you notice a correlation between a later nap and a rough bedtime? I would think if he doesn't nap until 2 and then maybe sleeps till 5 some days, that could be pushing it. If you are able to set some consistency with a 12 or 1 nap time, I would try it. It sounds like he's probably getting on a cycle of being overtired if he's consistently falling asleep so late. Do you leave him be or intervene when he's not falling asleep? I've solved a lot of M's issues by just leaving her alone to fall asleep or back to sleep.
Sleep issues suck. We're having an early wake up issue right now and Mama is tired😴😴😴. But we are trying to push bed time back a bit cause she seems to be done after 10-10.5 hours right now, regardless of how early in the morning it is.
No real correlation between timing. The longer naps are usually after a late night or early morning. It's 10:30am now and he's been asleep for 30 minutes now. He was looking tired so I just put him to bed and ignored the crying. Hope it helps tonight.
Some of the problem is I feel I can't let him cry at night anymore. We got new neighbours just before Xmas and they have commented a few times about hearing him cry. The houses are just so close and being summer the windows are all open and you can hear so much. I hear their 5yo running and yelling at them.

I swear I responded to Linny earlier but I dont see it anywhere. Weird. But yeah, I envisioned all of this. Plus, C is 35+lbs and about 3ft tall so I cant hold him. A slippery, painful nightmare would ensue.
I managed to just let him sit in the tub with the water running but left the plug out. I washed his hair and then just let him play with the running water for a bit. Good enough!

Thanks for all the love guys!
I had my H stop by this afternoon so she could see R, but they don't stay since she was napping and R had only a 30 min nap today and was a hot mess. If she is still there tomorrow afternoon, I'll attempt to get them together.
Good morning all! I have nothing going on today. G and I will hang out all day. Then when MH gets home (around bedtime 🙄) I will head out to work. When I do head out I will be wearing black and white for baby Jack.
I stopped in to see if OP had posted anything or if anyone had reached out today. Have y'all heard from her in a while? Is she still due in May? I didn't see any activity from her on the board.

She popped in a few weeks ago to say hi and give us an update. From what I remember (and that could be off since I am at work and exhausted) she is still due in May and having a thankfully uneventful pregnancy. I could be totally wrong though. My brain is mush right now.
