Nothing major, but it's been a lot of little things that have added up to me really wanting to find some place else. I also have recently noticed they don't seem to take his allergies very seriously and that makes me uncomfortable. Then this morning I got reprimanded by the teacher and I was just done. I called DH crying because I was so angry. His old place they were so loving and kind. They used to hug him, tell him they love him, etc. This place is not like that and I thought my uneasiness was because of that. I tried telling myself that it's not the norm and I shouldn't expect it. Especially since the other place had him since he was 3 months so of course they are more affectionate. But I'm starting to think it's more than that.
above anything else, you need to feel comfortable with where you send your kid. It's defi time to find a new place. Do we need to send anonymous poop?
Just to the one teacher. The assistants are nice and the director is really sweet. I may have a conversation with her when I leave about what a douche canoe this one lady is. I don't want to have it now because I am afraid she will take it out on my kid. And then I will need you ladies to come bail me out.
I forgot about it being Declan's turn for special snack tomorrow. I have to go to the grocery store now in negative bajillion degrees. Fuck special snack right in the ear.
The following note was left in Declan's cubby last night
I feel like I may be getting more bent out of shape than is reasonable because I'm already pissed off at this place. But the way I see it is:
1) All of Declan's containers are clearly labeled on the minimum of two sides. Usually the side and the top. 2) You know my kid has allergies, if you were even mildly unsure why wouldn't you call me before you feed him? You have my cell, my direct desk, my company's main #, DHs cell, and DHs office numbers. 3) If you are unsure, why wouldn't you write down exactly what the fuck it was that he ate that way if he started to get sick I would have a clue as to what was going on?
The late assistant wasn't sure because she didn't come in until 2pm yesterday. So I spent the night aggravated and stressed about it. When I came in this morning I immediately asked the teacher and her response was oh we put that in everyone's cubby so that no one felt singled out. There are a few parents who don't label their stuff. To which I may have gone on a not so pleasant rant about why a note like that is extremely stressful to me.
Am I overreacting? Part of me freaks out because even though the classroom is supposed to be egg and peanut free, they still give the kids snacks that contain eggs. So I don't trust parents to follow the rules either. Plus I'm uncomfortable with food coming out of people's kitchens that I don't know.

Ugh, get him out of there. If you are stressing about where you send your CHILD, your most precious anything? Move him! Find somewhere you love and he loves and you don't have to think twice about anything!
crunchymama11, hoping everyone feels better soon! lia1303, what a ginormous PITA your daycare situation is. It sucks that there's just one person there that rubs you the wrong way, but them being so lax about food allergies is the clincher. I hope you find a new place that you all love!
Cam must be going through a growth spurt or something. He's sleeping a lot, but is still clingy as ever so he wants to be held the whole time, and he suddenly started waking up 1-2 hours earlier. Fun times!

I went to a gender reveal party last night and it was horribly uncomfortable! The couple has a 20 month old boy and they had a cupcake made with the filling color pink or blue. We hung out, ate etc and then they decided they were ready and gave the cupcake to their little boy. He picked at it and took for freaking ever to dig in, but the baker leaked the filling through the bottom so you could totally see. I saw blue frosting about 10 minutes before anyone said anything.
Then finally the mom saw and was like "it's blue, it's a boy" and that was that. No excitement, no announcement - some people couldn't even see and were all "did we ever find out?" LOL. IT was so bizarre, and painfully obvious that they were hoping for a girl! DH and I were all this is so awkward, even DS was saying it was a weird party LOL, and he's only 8!

I don't like how dark Penny's hair is in the back near her neck. It makes her look like she has a bowl cut.
I loved the cut on her the first few weeks. Now I'm starting to not dig it so much. I think it makes her look older and her character is a little too goofy for it.
Better every day, thanks for thinking of us. Her stool sample came back with an overgrowth of bacteria from all of the antibiotics so guess what the solution is? Yup, a different antibiotic. At least it's very specific and we have a lab result proving that she needs it. She is eating like a monster thankfully and drinking and doing all the things she should be doing, getting into things she isn't supposed to etc. She's got 2 pounds to gain back and she's still napping a lot but her Dr. thinks it will take about a month for her to be back on track so we're taking it as it comes

That's such great news (not the bacteria though) I'm so glad she's getting back to being herself.
B woke me up at 5:45 by yelling "Ewwwww poop" over the monitor. That is not the wake up call I wanted. She is really happy and pleasant though so I am getting to love on her. Worth the wake up

I thought this was going to end with her having poop somewhere other than in her diaper. So glad that's not the case.

Yes, thank God it wasn't that. Those wake ups are even worse.
Just got back from a pancake breakfast/bake sale for my uncle who is in need of a liver transplant. They were only planning on 300 people showing, but has over 450 come! I love how communities and people come together for a good cause, even though we had bad weather and snow.

Hearing things like this keep my good faith in people! There are good people out there! That is awesome!
