Have you turned him FF yet, or are you waiting until the last possible moment? I want to do the safest thing and I am stressing a bit over weather turning him around right when he hits one of the limits is best, because RF is the safest. OR, if I should turn him a couple pounds or inch and a bit shy of the limits because I know he will be well within the FF limits.
I dont know if that makes any sense.
obi, we have the Graco Extend2 fit that goes up to 50 lbs rear facing if you are in the market for a different seat. It also gives them an extra 5 inches of legroom
I was looking at that one and I dont think it is available in Canada yet. We dont even have the Graco 4ever here.
Really?! Can you order from Target and have it shipped? I don't know how that works.
I think Id end up paying a lot for shipping and duty fees. I can always look into it though.
I also have no idea if there are any rules id be breaking by doing that.
I don't know if its true or not but a few of the baby showers I went to in Canada on the registry they specifically noted the car seat must be purchased in Canada. I just txt my friend who did and she said it is illegal to buy in the US and use in Canada.

This exactly. Our safety legislation is different. All car seats in Canada are inspected under the Canadian consumer product safety act and using one here that is not (so a US seat for example) will land you in hot water.
obi We have the Rainier and have found it to be pretty good so far. J will definitely be able to RF for a long time and he's at 34.5 inches now. It's pricey but it often goes on sale at BRU (I got ours at 30% off) so watch for the sales.
I remember when seeing it was 3pm and I was essentially done with what I needed to get done for the day would make me dread the next couple hours. Now I'm totally excited because yay to 2 whole quiet hours alone to internet!

Took R to see my grandma at the hospital this morning. He was a little gentleman and was great! But then he was upset on the way to daycare because he wanted to see "mama", my MIL. So we might have to stop up at her house, on the way home.

I figured there would be some kind of rules regarding that. Story of my life. There are a lot of instances where insulin pumps get approved in the US before Canada and it is a similar scenario. So i just stalk the manufacturers website, longingly haha.
So far, based on what is available in Canada, the Ranier seems to be top of the list for extended RF ability and to fit in a smaller vehicle, so Im happy to hear you like yours! It was on sale around Christmas because they released a new version and i am so mad that I didnt pull the trigger on it. Hopefully there will be a sale in the spring. That seems to be baby season.

Ugh...I would be happy to have it shipped to my house & then ship it to you. Although the shipping might be expensive because it is not the lightest seat. hmm.
I just saw this now. Thats so sweet of you to offer! Thank you If only it was doable financially/legally.

I think I am getting sick. My throat hurts and my temp was at 100.0. I took two ibuprofen and ate an orange. I think it's just about bedtime for me. I want to go shoe shopping with my SIL tomorrow. That won't happen if I don't feel better.
H sleeping in the middle of the bed on a diagonal so that his feet were touching me + W curled up in a ball and kneeing me in the ribs + no couch being comfortable = Linny "sleeping" on a crib mattress on the floor.
I cried this morning because I'm so tired and haven't slept in a bed in months. I have to break the habit of putting W in our bed when she wakes up, but OMG my eyes feel like they're boiling because I'm so tired and she fights the crib MOTN for HOURS. It's been 2 years since I've slept through the night other than the 8 or 9 times W has done so in the past 20 months.
Also screw you, H for telling me I was kicking you and annoying last night. I had literally 8 inches of mattress and was trying to get you to move over. If you knew I was trying to move you then you should have moved rather than ignore me.
Ds' s lovely didn't come home from the ymca last night. I tore the house and car apart and went back to the y and looked. It seems to have evaporated into thin air. Luckily we have a back up. I'm headed to joanns to buy the last remaining 2 yards of fabric in the area to make another one.
I can't shut off the feeling that it's SOMEWHERE and I need to find it. II'm going crazy.
This would drive me insane. I hate losing things. I'll lose sleep while trying to find puzzle pieces. I would literally lose my mind if she lost something she loves.
I'm keeping C RF as long as possible however I don't think it will be as long as I'd like. She's getting taller and I will need to move her headrest higher soon but there is no room left in my little Nissan which means I have to move up my seat. I can only adjust so much before we'll be forced to turn her around Definitely not before 2 though. I will hug the darn steering wheel if I have to.

Would she sleep on a cot on the floor?
I don't think she'd stay put. I think she'd just get up and come in to our room.
I told H that I'm buying a twin bed to put in her room, and we can try her in it with rails and put the newbie in her crib, or if W hates the big bed she can sleep with H and at least I'd be in a real bed.

Yes!! You get me! This is exactly how I am. It's still missing and I'm still looking.

Yep. I would do this.
I looked for a purple crayon for HOURS. I can't find it anywhere. My husband still makes fun of me for it.
