1) How many months/cycles have you been trying? If not actively trying, when will you start? After the middle of this month will be #3
2) Any TTC updates? Nah
3) If you're tracking your cycles, how is it going? I haven't really been tracking. I just know when I'm supposed to get my period haha. Will probably start tracking ovulation better after I get my period this month
4) GTKY - Valentine's Day: Hallmark holiday only worth celebrating with discount candy the day after? Or "give me all the romance and presents!": I'm indifferent. I expect flowers but when my husband asked what I wanted to do all I could think of was pizza or a nice big steak. I can't even remember what we did last year, probably pizza? Idk but it will be at home, Athena will get a lil valentines gift and it will be nice and low key.
sharebear05 did they put you on metfomin? Also, eating a diet like you have diabetes will also help your fertility. Just google PCOS diet-- mostly it's eating well-balanced meals with steady proportions of proteins, carbs, and fats.
Clomid had terrible side effects for me. Hot flashes, extreme moodiness, weird dreams. I only took prometrium while KU with Hailey and I didn't really notice anything crazy from it.
@traceyos for tracking, I really like the tutorials on apps and sites like Fertility Friend, Kindara, Glow, and Ovia. They all have charting 101 pages or tutorials and they're all user friendly.
Do I need a fancy thermometer?
You need one that displays to the hundredth, not just the tenth. So maybe. Pretty sure mine was like $3, though - fancy is not necessarily expensive.

Maybe my temp shifts are bigger than normal, but I have been fine using a thermometer that only measured to the tenth. But if you're going out to buy one, they are cheap so you should get one that measures to the hundredth.
This is embarrassing, for a second (ok longer) I panicked because I didnt know if you stick these specific thermometers in your mouth or vag #rookieoftheyear
1) 4 or 5. I'm doing a terrible job keeping track. I know it's stupid to say but I got KU on the 3rd cycle the first two times so I'm a little frustrated. I know it's not really very long to be trying but I just like things to be consistent so it felt like it should have happened by now. 2. No. I was sure I was pregnant when were at Disney last month but, alas, I was not. 3. I downloaded FF on my phone and am tracking my period and when we DtD. This is the most I've ever done in the past but if things don't change this month I might get some OPKs and try that. 4. I like sweet, romantic gestures whenever they come my way. We don't usually do to much but DH will get me flowers or something to let me know he's thinking of me. We won't go out or anything specifically for VDay though. ETA I love doing little gifts for the girls more than I care about what DH and I do!
@traceyos , hi, just lurking in here. but you can track fertility pretty well just via cervical position/cervical mucus. IME it's a lot easier than temping- my temps were always so off i could never discern a real pattern.
1) How many months/cycles have you been trying? If not actively trying, when will you start? 4 months TTC since my miscarriage.
2) Any TTC updates? Waiting on AF right now. I took a test last night and it was negative so just waiting. As soon as she shows up I have to call my doctor to start on Femara.
3) If you're tracking your cycles, how is it going? Nothing new to report. Mostly just tracking my period and estimating ovulation week off of that. And watching out for changes in CM.
4) GTKY - Valentine's Day: Hallmark holiday only worth celebrating with discount candy the day after? Or "give me all the romance and presents!" I'm all about the candy and am with @traceyos, that I'm excited to put Dylan in her valentines outfits. I got two mommy and me sets from Lularoe this year that I think we are going to start wearing this weekend.
BFP #1 December 2012 - MMC January 2013, D&C February 2013 BFP #2 October 2014 - DD arrived July 16, 2015 BFP #3 July 2016 - MC @ 9 weeks August 2016 BFP #4 Due January 2, 2018 - Please stick baby!
Oh meant to write this. I am a little frustrated with my body right now. I was sure it happened this cycle because I have felt "different" this month. I was sure I would be able to tell if I was or wasn't based on symptoms as I approach AF but obviously not. I wish this wasn't so stressful.

sarahh, I feel ya, I'm in the same exact boat. I've totally felt "different" this month, but tests are negative. Not to say it's not too early, but I think I'm getting my hopes up because AF is due next week.

If you're a mouth breather, vag is the best option since it would be much more accurate. If you are a normal non mouth breather, either works.
@traceyos I'm a strong advocate of drink til its pink. At this point, if you were KU, it's not even implanted yet. Maybe just don't get all white girl wasted?
So since I'm new here can I ask about drinking during the tww? Basically I'm concerned about the Philly meetup tomorrow since there is a chance I could be ku.
Eta: I'm going to take a test in the morning tomorrow but it may be too early, AF isn't due for 5 days.
@traceyos, If it helps any, I didnt know I was pregnant with A and was totally indulgent all Halloween weekend...and the weekend before...and before that, oops.

Yup, the night before I had two large and strong skinny margs.

With my first I had just gotten home from a work conference where I drank every day. I had a half a beer on Friday night when I got home and didn't feel great so I didn't have the rest, then took a test on Saturday morning. I wouldn't stress about it.
mnj05 I was on prometrium and pretty much had every side effect. Cramping, fatigue, gi issues, and moodiness. I am not excited for clomid side effects. Maybe I'll luck out and it won't bother me! Power of positivity!
sharebear05 I took 2 cycles of Clomid with W. Honestly, the side effects weren't horrible for me. Mostly some hot flashes and headaches, but only for the last 2 or 3 days of taking the pill. Hopefully it won't be bad for you either!
@traceyos I am too nervous to go crazy, during the tww. A couple beers or a glass of wine is the most I feel comfortable with. But I'm also super paranoid and superstitious.
I would also look at accuracy of tests by days post ovulation instead of days before missed period. I find it misleading when tests say they're accurate x# days before missed period because that assumes a perfect 28 day cycle with ovulation on day 14. If you don't meet those two criteria, then looking at days post ovulation might give you a better idea of when it is appropriate to test.
@traceyos and rachydc - also twinsies! Like sharebear05, I tend to be overly cautious during the last week of the TWW, mostly bc my anxiety would be OOC if I didn't, not bc I think it's a disaster if you're in a drink til it's pink camp. I think it's along the lines of the sushi and lunch meat guidelines - reasonable people can make different calls and it's all about your own comfort.
I'm at CD26, likely 10 DPO and still not as much as a squinter so I'm starting to lose faith despite my good feelings about this cycle. I've always gotten pregnant very quickly (3/6 cycles we tried) so moving to the third cycle TTC is making me a little cranky, even though I know it's not a long time, at all. I just hoped this time would be super easy vs. our journey to L, but if that's not in the cards it's not in the cards.
I still haven't decided if I'm going to drink tomorrow assuming no squinter in the AM. Maybe a glass.
I used FF the first time to track. I pre-ordered the WINK by Kindara so I have been using that thermometer since I got it. It syncs to my phone, I then copy the temps into FF because i prefer their layout and how they interpret temps. You don't have to spend what I spent on the thermometer. I pre ordered like 2 years ago and just got it in September 😬i completely forgot about it

Eta: I'm going to take a test in the morning tomorrow but it may be too early, AF isn't due for 5 days.
I drank during my tww all the time, even when seeing an RE. Fun fact, I drank a whole bottle of wine 2 days before my BFP with Eleanor. And she's healthy as can be.

1) How many months/cycles have you been trying? If not actively trying, when will you start? 14 months now I think....
2) Any TTC updates? Met with fertility doc, need to have couple tests done but will start with IUI. They tried to do HSG last week but apparently my cervix was out of reach . OB is working on setting up for a saline HSG by ultrasound? I guess we will see.
3) If you're tracking your cycles, how is it going?
All I track is start / end - still on clomid so cycles are consistently a few days longer.
4) GTKY - Valentine's Day: Hallmark holiday only worth celebrating with discount candy the day after? Or "give me all the romance and presents!"
I just like us to be together on Valentine's Day, discount treats the day after are totally fine for me.
It's CD32. 16 DPO. No positive tests. No period. (My cycles vary between 26 and 30 days, with the last two at 30. I guess it's possible that the progesterone extends my cycle by 4 days, and I'm looking at a 34 day cycle this month, but WTF!)
WHERE ARE YOU PERIOD? If I'm not pregnant, and it seems I am not, I'd really like this cycle to end so I drink heavily for a few days about how pissy I am to not be pregnant. And also stop giving myself a shot every day, and stop the goopy progesterone BS.
