I think clothes from The Children's Place are tacky.
the girls clothes are. I like a lot of the boys clothes though
+1 I've gotten DS really nice button downs, sweater vests, pants, etc. No sayings or anything. And I find the quality the same as any other children's clothes.
I think this has been brought up before but I don't like little girls in bikinis. Target has this mermaid tail cover up thing but it comes with a tiny shell top (like Ariel) and small bottoms. I'll hope for it to go on clearance and buy it just for the tail but don't want my toddler running around in a tiny bikini.
I don't like little girl bikinis either. I love how little and cute C looks in her little one pieces. I don't know how long I'll wait before letting her wear a two piece but even then, it'll probably be the long shirt with separate bottom type.
I Love Childresn's Place. Their prices are reasonable and the pants actually hold up. The leggings/pants I've gotten from other places look worn in the legs and CP hasn't yet. I don't tend to buy a lot of the saying shirts, but they do have some cute things there. Plus they have CP cash several times.
This may be a repeat so sorry if so....But paying a lot of money for cards seems ridiculous. I was behind an older gentelman at the store yesterday that got 2 cards. Without tax they cost him 12!!! I'd rather get a dollar tree card and spend that extra money on a gift. One card was 7.99!!!
2 pieces are so much easier than a 1 piece when they need to potty. However, we always buy a tankini or 2 piece that covers the belly completely. SD is 13 and just this year got a real bikini and only because her bio Mom got it for her.
Children's Place, not my fav but ok. Circo at Target, though? Hate.
They got rid of Circe here and now it's Cat and Jack. I love it, almost all of her clothes come from there. I still avoid character stuff with exception of some Minnie things and no sayings. I feel like the new line has a more grown up feel to it and like it so much better than the old line.
Yeah DD wears the two pieces but they're the bottoms and then the long sleeve top. Target has such cute colors/patterns every year and they're around $12. Score!
I like CP but only buy their stuff on sale or at the outlet. I don't mind Circo at Target but don't love it. I get a lot of hand me downs so I don't really pay much attention to what brand DS is wearing.

It annoys me how expensive they are and they're so cheap to make. I usually buy the .99 cent ones.
I always find it weird when i see families on the beach and the little boy is in knee length shorts and a rash guard and the little girl is in a bikini. It's like people don't care about their daughters skin as long as she looks cute.

I like two pieces for easy diaper change and now easy potty use. I don't buy bikini though tank top style tops usually
I've gotten dd a couple of really cute things from cp, but not in a while. I do like their fleece jackets.
Speaking of differences between dressing boys and girls, I saw a blog post a while ago about how toddler underwear bs, and it's so true. The boy underwear is thick and generously cut, and the girls' is thin and lacey and sometimes bikini or high cut. Why???
I loved carters when she was small but now I am having a hard time with size and finding cute things with them. Same about Gymboree! Just found the best Dino shirt for spring / summer for $7 there! I do love me some Cat and Jack from target though!
I love Carters, but agree with meggypoo1, it's harder to find in the larger sizes. So I tend to watch Penny's, Kohls, and Walmart for their separates. They are reasonably priced and can usually use decent coupons on them to make them even cheaper.
Carters does have sizes outside of the toddler (5t, 4t etc). I've found a few cute outfits for DD1 in just 4. And I scored at a consignment sale once with a bunch of 4/5s without the T. And I know online I've seen 4-16 as one of their size selections.
