What time is everyone having their parties, and for how long? Ds is still on a pretty consistent two nap schedule. His first is around 9:30ish and his second is around 2:00 or 2:30. So I was thinking an 11:30-1:30 party? Is that too long? I'm also worried that will be prime nap time for my brother and sister in law's kids and they will be all annoyed.
We are doing 10:30-1 since it is a brunch type thing. Usually we do 12-2 and serve lunch. Most of our guests travel from out of town so we don't want to start too early or go to late.

We always do ours at 4. That way she'll get her naps in and will still have a few hours til bedtime. Our parties usually go late though. The adults will stay and party even after the kids are in bed.
We will be in Jamaica for Ms bday but trying to figure out what to do when we get back. Most of my friends have older kids do its hard to plan something everyone will enjoy. Might have a party at a local trampoline park that accommodates all ages..but idk.
LO's party is at a park. I have a 5k that morning, then a 1 mile thing with DD1 and the in-laws. Hoping LO takes a nap at my in-law's house right afterwards. We're doing lunch and cake in the park with my parents/in-laws. It's halfway between each family's house so they can sort of hand us off to go to my parents' house afterwards for a couple weeks.
We're going to give LO her present here before we leave. I got her this little garden table but it's like micro-tiny and doesn't close as well as I'd hoped so I can't keep kinetic sand in it like I'd hoped. I ended up buying her a pair of Freshly Picked moccs too...
I feel like I'm totally letting this birthday fall through the cracks. We're going to visit my parents this weekend so we'll be there for his birthday. I know we'll celebrate with family then and we'll see my in laws the following weekend. He's not being ignored but normally I love to do things all out for parties even if it's just family but I have done nothing. My mom has made a banner and some other things but that's it.
If it makes you feel better, we aren't celebrating it at all. Baby has no idea what is going on. 1st birthdays are for parents, not kids
Can you ladies help me think of goody bag ideas for the time flies theme?
I'm going to order these squirters...idk what else put in them.
For DS1's first birthday i filled sand buckets with goodies...i feel like i need to compete with myself and do something cute like that instead of just baggies.
This party is going to be Pinterest AF.
Paper airplane kits There are candy bracelets that look like watches
Or you could go all out Pinterest and make soda bottle rocket packs for all the kids. Lol
@unicornofthesea , how old are the other kids? We went to a birthday party and each kid got 1 Halloween themed book and I loved it instead of a bunch of stuff that we end up throwing away a week later.
For DD's 1st bday we are doing a "Wild One" theme. We are having it at a local play cafe so I don't have to worry about cleaning up before/after the party! haha
Hobby Lobby has a Wild One birthday theme, so we were able to grab coordinating plates/napkins, etc. I'm going low-key so we will probably just grab some balloons on our way to the party and call it a day! We're doing fruit/veggies trays, pizza and cupcakes.
Since we're doing the "time flies" theme with planes... I'm thinking about giving the adults mini bottles of vodka (that are served one planes)....but we had DS1's bday party at the brewery so I'm worried they're going to think I have a problem lol
Well I wasn't planning on holding a party as we will be in Jamaica for her birthday. But I started feel I g guilty and decided to hold one when we get back. Now I'm super stressed about it. I'm sure it'll work out but I'm a planner and it's stressful. I've decided on mermaid/under the sea theme. I plan on doing a ball pit but does anyone else have other simple activities?
