DD is going to a sweetheart dance with a group of friends and DH next weekend (these are the guys who camp with their daughters). Limo, whole nine yards.
Help me find her a dress. She's a size 6/7. (Really only a 7 in Gymboree tank dresses because they run small). Not overly pricey - like $30 or less, bonus points for pink/red without hearts, able to get here by next Thursday.
twinmomma - love that first one! But it made me realize that DD (at 9.5) is developing opinions about clothes. I can't wait until she clears the hump and can wear "big girl clothes". She's very trend conscious and doesn't want the watered down "kid" version. This is harder than I thought it would be - I miss the days of her just wearing what I chose. I officially can't easily shop for any of the kids - the oldest is obv too cool, the youngest has the most sartorial opinions. He pretty much has to be wearing navy blue at all times and is very picky about which shoes to wear when.
I second Justice. That store is the only thing getting me through the tween years until she can fit Jrs. She wants trendy clothes but still is not big enough to fit in a small in Jrs.
I need a red/auburn semi-permanent (28 shampoos) hair dye I can buy locally. Went to CVS and Walgreens near work and one had no semi-perm and the other had Natural Instincts which doesn't have a red. Char wants to dye her hair aqua this weekend and I already have the Manic Panic (not sure how much of her hair we will dye - whole head, just streaks, just the bottom layer), but I decided to do mine too and make it a Super Bowl girl time. I ran out of time to buy on Amazon.
In the 1.5 hours between a two hour outdoor practice and the second game of the day - after I got back from the 5K - we managed to find a dress. And shoes. Of all places - at Sears. Macy's had nothing, JCPenney had a very cute $72 or $68 dress and Dillard's was a wash. I got stressed about ordering the wrong size. Ended up with 6X (would have ordered a 7, would have been wrong....)
