We skipped this yesterday and ds woke up before the sun so I'm on it!
We've eaten breakfast, made a couple freezer meals and are relaxing before we have to get ready for our day. T-ball sign ups are today (!!!!!) and I'm making one last shopping trip with my mom for baby stuff and things to get us through the first few weeks.
Tomorrow we may go to church depending on what time DH gets home from work. We have a birthday/super bowl party for my brother tomorrow evening. I feel old now that my brother will be solidly in his mid-20s. We also need to clean this wreck of a house.

We got about 6 inches of very wet snow yesterday and now it's starting to rain at 32 degrees, so my commute into work was messy this morning. I'm only 4 miles from work on a very rural road but my city doesn't plow. Even in 4WD snow mode, I was all over the road. My fear is now that I'm at work, I'll be stuck here past my shift because everyone will call in sick not wanting to drive.
Just finished my coffee and made breakfast. I have to go pick up Dd from a sleepover and sign her up for softball. Then DS has his first guitar lessons. After that I am planning on making a nice supper. Dh is working this weekend.
Tomorrow we have church, which is for the kid's school and they have a small part. Then off to a Super Bowl party.
H is driving me insane. He is dizzy and the doctor gave him steroids and antibiotics because he had a lot of fluid in his ear. He thinks it's something catastrophic. I have always been a hypochondriac thinking everything small thing is something serious. This was my thing. We can't have both of us crazy!
I wanted to go to the big camp fair with DD and DH, but I can't walk and stand for 2 hours. They have wheelchairs to rent but DH seemed like he would be embarrassed (mortified) so I skipped it. I got them to drive me to work so I could pick up our other car that I had to leave there when I picked up my replacement car from the accident. And I did not get the garage door opener. And I don't have a key. So I have to wait until they get home around 1:30 (it is 10:15). So it's a good day for a haircut and some errands I guess.
Ok so not Supercuts. Sat for 5 minutes and the woman on the chair was crying because her stylist had not followed her directions and the other stylist was fussing at her about it. So, time to leave!

I am finishing my coffee outside the grocery store. We went to breakfast with some relatives of H and it went better than I expected. He's taking the kids home for naps and I'm going to run some blissfully silent errands and go through the car wash. My car is embarrassing.
We have an evening (??) 3yo Birthday that I'm taking both girls to later. H keeps offering to come but I think he needs some downtime. He's all "DD1 is so poorly behaved lately blah blah." True. But she's still 5 and I'm still 31 and I have 100lbs on her and the car keys. We shall manage. ;-)
DD went to her first K classmate b-day party last night and it was interesting... I felt out of place as all the other parents knew DD and I had no clue who any of the kids or parents were (WP FWP?). I totally felt like the new kid in middle school. All the other parents kept telling DD it was okay to be shy and how cute she was. DD talked with the older kids there but shied away from her own classmates. Then the birthday girl told her that she hated the gift we gave which of course upset DD. We left shortly after cake but wasn't the first people to leave.
I'm working today, fun! Its pouring down raining and DD and DH are home doing who knows what. We have a dinner/playdate at 3 with long term family friends that I'm looking forward to. Sunday is laundry, house cleaning, errands, prep work.
We suffered through horse lessons in 19 degree weather this morning then ran a couple errands. Poor kids were troopers in the cold! The girls are in a mood today and bickering and crying at the drop of a hat. Hoping a nap resets them.
We have a house full coming over for the Superbowl so I nees to get my butt in gear and clean, but I just want to veg out and work on some craft projects.
Oh we're all home now. They went to the camp fair at 10 and then her basketball game at noon. I drove home at 10 and went to the hair place and then left, and then went out for lunch and decided to catch the second half of the game. 10-0. DD's team is just awful. She never catches a break. All her teams are the worst. Came home and went through all the camp literature. Found a couple of new options.
DD had her ice skating class today. She left the ice early, crying. I was annoyed. Last week, she was the fastest skater out there. Today she wouldn't move without a teacher holding her hand. Wtf. Four year olds, man.

I don't think I'll ever learn my limits when sick. I went shopping with my mom and ds to get the last of the baby stuff since my OB thinks I'll be lucky to make it through the month. Well I had to call mil to keep ds tonight because my head and chest are both so congested and I am so tired from not sleeping. I'm not sure that staying home and solo parenting ds all day would have been that much more relaxing though.
callmeKD, how long will the babies be in the NICU? I don't recall reading why they're there. How are YOU doing? How are they doing?
Hi - thx. It's standard procedure for babies born earlier than 36 weeks to go to the NICU. They need monitoring to ensure they can breathe on their own and eat enough on their own.
Baby girl came home today but baby boy is still there for a few more days. I overdid it today and am in a lot of pain right now.
