I almost started a thread called Terrific Tuesday...and it's terrific bc B is going back to preschool today!! Kiddo needs to get back in his routine and I need my 7 hours/week.
Otherwise, C and I are going to have a relaxing morning; we'll probably hit the grocery store, and then I have to get blood work done right before school pick-up.
Hello from the office. Chase slept until almost 5 before waking up with a massive dirty diaper (he's had a TON since starting the new abx). He had a bit of a rough time getting back to sleep but still, that's the latest he's made it in a week or so. His cough still sounded pretty bad today but the rattling in his chest is already gone.
Is anyone else's N13 kid obsessed with rainbows? Colin sings their rainbow song all the time and very solemnly explains to DH and me regularly how black and gray are not in the rainbow. This is usually triggered by the various colors of waistbands on his underwear when he's picking which pair to wear, so this generally happens completely nude or in just his drawers. That kiddo kills me.
C has school today, even though we're suppose to be 3-6 inches today. Today's her 100th day of school so I tried making her look 100, but I think the best I got was maybe 40-50.
I'm debating whether I bring H to story time now that the snow has started. If I don't go, I really should clean up the house and that sounds even less appealing then driving in the snow.

Hi everyone. We just got back from Great Wolf Lodge late last night. The kids really loved it. We were supposed to check out this morning, but mh and I wanted to sleep in our own bed, hence leaving last night.
Since we were both scheduled to be off today, I took the kids to DC and am going to get stuff done around the house.
Got a text at 4am from my Dad saying he was being held against his will at the hospital and I need to get him out.....not the most delightful thing to wake up to. Once I got to work, I was able to get the hospital and room information and my half brother is going to swing by this afternoon and check on him. I hate being this far away. Before Cadence I could just drop everything and drive up there, but I can't do that now. She has too much going on, plus she is basically a walking germ, so I wouldn't be able to take her with me. So frustrating. It's going to be a long day waiting for information.

My day started out crappy. Dragged myself out of bed at 5:30 to go workout only to find the classes were cancelled due to power outage. They could've sent an email telling people!
Fun day though. My sister and niece are coming to our hands on museum with us and then we will go to a fun restaurant after if the kids are behaving (not likely haha).
klongoria11 , can YH help out while just you go? I mean C is at DC for most of the day so it shouldn't be that bad for him to get her there while you take care of your dad in the hospital.
Sadly, we all have too much going on this week to just drop everything. If not, then yes, he would be able to handle it. I don't know that C would be able to handle me being gone.
I'm not really sure. My guess is yes. He's a stubborn man who hates hospitals and people telling him what to do. I have so little info to go by, but my guess is that he still has fluid in his lungs and they aren't going to let him leave until he's completely better. I'm hoping if that is the case then my half-brother will be able to convince him that he isn't being held hostage and that he needs to relax and get better.
JoeLies , do you have access to the Curious George "Chasing Rainbows" episode? Cadence loves it. Then it shows real kids making rainbows through water.
I'll have look for it, it sounds right up his alley! I assume it's on the app, I'll just have to go digging.

I told Cadence after school we are going to swim lessons. She said she already did that and didn't need to go again...then she asked if we could go before school instead of after. Um, nope.

Re. Rainbows, B is pretty indifferent, but I am all about them for her (Hawaii and all). I bought her a rainbow print duvet from PBK and intend to order some sort of rainbow print art for her room once we finally get our walls painted.
klongoria11 can you get your dad to sign something that they can release medical information to you? My grandma has had a few minor strokes this year and we didn't believe my dad was telling us the whole truth so we got my grandma to list my sister in her file and now my sister can talk directly to doctors and nurses.
How did C like it before? Hope you all have a blast!
What is Great Wolf Lodge? Is it good for 3 year olds? Is it super expensive?
We did the one in PA on a Groupon last year for like $200. That was my trip that lasted 8 hours because DH couldn't breath and DD and DS1 both threw up. I found it a disaster but my kids still talk about what a great trip it was. We will probably go back. Room was super cute. My sister is a SAHM and goes mid week all the time for cheap.

We had a really fun night at The Devil's game yesterday although I felt terrible be because of a UTI. Thank God for my online doctor. T was so good at the game. No one was happy to get up this morning.
T just noticed his belly button and is very concerned about "the hole in his belly." He keeps telling everyone he "must have fallen down and made a hole."

It's an indoor water park. It appears to have outdoor stuff too, but obviously that was closed this time of year. It is very much geared towards kids (as opposed to teenagers). They also have indoor stuff- arcade, bowling and random kid activities during the day. I think your littles are the perfect ages!

That's funny. B just noticed his nipples this morning for seemingly the first time and inquired about them. When he sees me nursing the baby he calls them my "belly buttons", though, so IDK, kid is confused. Whatever, I'd rather him go to preschool and talk about belly buttons than nipples, lol.
eta: also, I am sorry about your UTI. I had my first ever the week after C was born and thought I was dying. They are so awful.
Morning! Dropped H off at preschool then ran to target. The flannel sheets I've been eyeing are finally on sale for $13 so I snatched them up. I was on the phone with the people for surgery earlier too and we have to be there by 6:15, surgery will be around 7:30. H is spending the night at her grandparents tonight so we don't have to wake her up super early and try to entertain her. S can't nurse after 2am, but the girl on the phone said she could have water or pedialyte until 4am, but of course I forgot to grab some when I was at target.
klongoria11 sorry about your dad. I'm sure he's getting restless being in the hospital. I hope he's well enough to go home soon. Also, on a different note, Starbucks has a new frappuccino I think you'd like. It's called the molten chocolate love. It's pretty much a java chip with chocolate whipped cream. Yum!
