S's nurse that is getting her ready for surgery is the same nurse I had when I delivered H. Crazy. We are just waiting for the surgeon to come talk to us and then off to surgery.

snoopmommymom, I was just thinking today that I need to do some sort of sleep training. We were down to 1 wake up, but now are at like 5 or 6 (she's 10 months old). With C we did some sleep training to get him to sleep, but didn't have to deal with the keeping him to sleep for the most part.
And today C decided 4:30 was a great time to get up for the day.

nam2013, no huge Valentine's plans here. I'll probably surprise C with a balloon and some candy that morning. I may cook a nicer dinner and get MH his favorite candy or something.
We usually go out to dinner for vday but this year we are taking it easy. I did get DH a mug that says "best.husband.ever." and plan to fill it with something.
lfigge I'm sorry to hear about S; I hope it's not a shunt issue. Poor girl, and poor mom!
nam2013 we have tickets to Jersey Boys next Friday, so that will be our Valentine's Day 'date'. Otherwise we usually just exchange cards and DH typically sends flowers. I'm sure I'll do something for the kids, just not sure what yet!
Random excitement to share: DH finished painting the baby's room yesterday! It's light grey with a white and slightly darker grey striped wall. I love it and can't wait to start adding pink accents. =)
Starting to feel real that there will be 2 kids soon!
We had a crazy storm come through out of nowhere last night so I've been watching the news and seeing all the damage around town. We have some debris down in the yard but thankfully all our trees stayed upright this time! It was super loud, and the power went out for a bit--no clue how the kids slept through it all but they did.
Not much on our agenda today; I got most of my errands done yesterday and B's shaggy hair taken care of, so I guess we're just relaxing and maybe I'll get to wash and style my hair 🤞🏻
Thanks guys. S is done with surgery, everything went well, but man was she crabby after. We are on our way home. She fell asleep and I'm hoping she wakes up in a much better mood. DH is dropping us off at home then I think he is going to get H.
You northeast girls are messing with my denial, with all this snow talk.
DH's birthday is a few days before Valentine's Day, so we'll be going out without the boys on Saturday. He's been driving me a little crazy this week. It's nothing major, I'm just too tired from Chase to deal with his man cold. But I feel like it's a bit of a setback after we'd been reconnecting, so I think it's the perfect time for a date night.
I'm sorry, lfigge. It must be so hard always worrying about her shunt.
nam2013, We normally have a babysitter and go out to dinner. Our sitter no-showed last year so we brought N with. DH asked last night if we should get a sitter and I guess I had forgotten to tell him I have a double header in volleyball that night. So we'll just have a normal night at home. The kids will get something little for a gift.
But this weekend we are going to see MH family and I get to meet my new niece and nephew (who were born at 29 weeks on Christmas). They are doing fabulous but are still in theNICU.
Oh, and I realized since I am going to work after this I accidentally grabbed my work purse instead of my diaper bag. I have no diapers, no change of clothes, etc. oops!

I used to be all about Valentine's Day back when it was just MH and me. After B was born we did manage to go out to dinner. This year, I have just lost all my interest though. We are heading to Barbados the week after though - so mh and I can celebrate then.
yummeecookee ooh, Barbados sounds lovely! I want to be on a beach with a daiquiri like, yesterday.
trtlcrzy Glad S did well and hopefully she'll be feeling better when she wakes up. Both times B has been under anesthesia, he woke up very cranky, but he was fine after a nap and some food.
You guys, I shouldn't even type it, but both kids slept all night for the first time... ever? N came in our room after her green light came on and H was still asleep. I think that was his longest stretch ever by at least an hour. I was just thinking the night before about when I will start letting him CIO MOTN and he must have known I was thinking about it. And my baby is 10 months old today! How did that happen?
