A certain child in my household is in LOVE. She wants a "bike" that looks like a motorcycle. She does need a new bike for her birthday as she has nearly outgrown hers. But I don't want to get one with a motor because I want her getting exercise! Also that thing is for age 12+ on the website even though it is sized down. Liability. Etc. And apparently that is exactly the reason the little girl's dad won't let Charlotte ride, because he is afraid we'll sue if she gets hurt. Which of course we won't, but that isn't the point. So Char is miserable and jealous right now.
So A) is there a super cool motorcycle bike that you pedal? B) What about other things in the bike/scooter universe that are super cool and unique? I know I have seen some Y shaped things.
Yikes! The only things I can think of as alternatives are the stand up style Razor scooters and hover boards, both of whick might be just as or more "dangerous" that the motorized bike you linked? In your case, I might consider just getting it for her if you are okay with the price point. Remind me how old C is?
This would be for her 8th birthday but I am dead set against a motorized vehicle. She needs exercise. I'm ok with her borrowing it but not riding full time. She does have a razor type scooter.

Ugh. I feel your pain. We have neighbor girls with those scooters, and a friend of DS1 has a mini-dirt bike that he's dying to have. Absolutely not. If we lived near dirt he could ride it on, maybe. But riding it down the street in a neighborhood full of cars - no way.
I googled "bicycle that looks like a dirt bike" and found some cool looking options. Maybe give that a try?
I'm anti those too. DD got the razor with light up wheels that shoots sparks off the back as the compromise for her 9th Birthday. The motorized scooter rarely comes out - they all prefer the sparks. So it worked.
In terms of a motorcycle? How about this (small motor) or this (pedals) or this (pedals)? I searched on pedal motorcycle or pedal motorbike and a *bunch* of stuff came up.

Several close friends of mine live in more rural areas and have mini 4-wheelers. Aside from the near heart attack I have every time H brings up getting one, where would they drive it? Down our suburban sidewalk?

The go kart thing looks cool, but the kids in the pics look smaller.

DS is about the size of a 6yo (50 lbs, 40-ish inches) and he's on the smallest setting. You would still have to check what it expands to, but to give you an idea...
No help, just here for commiseration. DS keeps begging for a dirt bike, which he is not getting both because I agree with your reason of needing exercise and because he is only 5. It doesn't help that some kid in his class and my cousin's kid who is over a year younger than him got one but whatever, I'm not backing down.
My kids are little so DD has a kit from Amazon that allows you to put butterflies and streamers on your bike and we're putting Jake Pirate stickers on my 2 year-olds bike (which will make the neighbors think it's a $30 bike when instead we're getting a bike 6x that b/c it's supposed to be better for them to learn on...).
My neighbors as a child always rode 3 and 4 wheelers around the fields in our area and my mom was always like, "that's a death trap and their parents are negligent and you're never to ride one." Not too much later the 4 year-old ran into a chain link fence and was hospitalized and all slashed up (but ultimately fine) so this helped fuel her argument--think of the "Spears Girl" as the media is calling her. I guess you could join my mother's team. On the flip side, DH's family owned a motorcycle store and all the kids rode in dirtbike competitions and apparently this requires a lot of fitness so if she gets into that, she'll get exercise. But DH did not ride too much as they told him he had "poor visual attention" and would get hurt. And DD was actually diagnosed with poor visual attention, so I guess riding is out for her too.
I think I'd go with team, "no, you don't need that" and not try to find something like it.
What about like stunt type bike for kids (like BMX)? I know she is 8 and probably won't be doing stunts (yet), but when I was younger you were totally badass if you had a bike with pegs. It'd be something she could grow into too.

akafred , one of our neighbors kid has that too (these kids in our neighborhood have a ridiculous amount of toys including one that's like a back loader that you pedal...so you might look into that but it's freaking huge).
The issue I have with the one in your picture is that it's so. low.
So imagine a child zipping out from behind a parked car into the street and giving you a total heart attack as you slam on your brakes praising God that you weren't so close you didn't see them. Ok maybe I'm dramatic but they are hard to see.
I feel like a tall flag on the back would help, though, like those bright orange triangle ones.
