Anyone else starting to pick up spring/summer clothing? It's still freezing here(-8 this morning) but I am wishing for summer and online shopping for clothes. Any ideas on how much/many outfits I should aim for?
Side question: what sizes are your kiddos in nowadays? I'm buying 2T summer clothes for G.
My LO is currently in 18m, but tops are getting snug/short and pants are still a bit long. I have shopped the clearance racks for 24m and 2T since the end of last summer. I get as much as I can because my LO trashes them at daycare and gets dirty playing outside, and if you get $1-$2 pieces off the racks at Kohl's/Target/Walmart you won't break the bank.
I just did a big summer shop at all the Presidents' Day sales. I generally get way more clothes than I need for each season because I think everything is adorable. She's just fitting into most 12-18mo now so I bought 18mo for summer.
I buy clothes for DS at thrift stores, so the summer clothes clothes are not out yet. My mom and aunty back home have already sent a box of clothes for the spring/summer. A mix of thrift store and new stuff. Buying pants 18 months. Shirts 24months and 2T. I also still have another box of clothes from a coworker I need sort through. I probably won't need to buy any clothes.
MIL buys a lot of clothes so I haven't had to buy much..... I have picked up some that I think see cute. We're doing 24mo/2T.... she was wearing 18mo all last summer because she was so chunky. Now that she's slimmed down I'm thinking the dresses and shorts should still fit well.... my mom also buy and resales from yard sales. She gives me anything that will fit so I already have some stuff that's 3/4T.
I need to do this. I'm not sure what size to get though. LO is pretty small and most 12m pants still are too big. I think I need to wait a couple more months to see if he starts gaining. He just outgrew his dairy allergy so he's been eating a lot better now that he has more options
DD is currently in 2T or 24 months. I haven't started buying summer things yet since I don't want to buy a bunch and have her go through a growth spurt and nothing fit by summer. My guess is that by mid summer she will be in a mix of 2T and 3T.
I just recently started buying DD 18-24/2T size clothing. I do not buy things in advance or try and get things on sale at the end of a season for the following year. I buy what I need at the time. Carters has some really cute spring/summer things coming out - i am trying to wait for a free shipping sale online
I've picked up a couple of things that were a good price in 18-24m/2T, but it's so hard to know what size he will be in. We (and by me, I mean my husband) accidentally sent him to daycare last week in 18-24m pants and they were practically falling off of him. Up until now, he's kept pretty close to his size month-wise but I can' imagine that he will be able to wear those pants next month.
my MIL bought out a discount store (literally) and so I have a ton of summer clothes. However we are probably 3 months away from even needing summer clothes and LO has been really tiny in the clothing dept. Im not sure I will be buying anything for a while. We will need shoes/sandals etc so I have been keeping my eyes peeled for some.
Like one other PP - we have a few of AWESOME thrift stores. Ive been finding designer kids jeans, baby gap, DKNY jeans there for a couple of dollars. I also only really go to Once Upon a Child. I can't justify buying every day clothing that the kids wear to DC brand new.

I figure she will be in 18m at the beginning, but I'm hoping for a long warm summer and think she will be in 24m/2T by the end of it. (2T! Where did our babies go???)

I got my kids' summer/spring wardrobes already. I bought DD 2T stuff mostly because she's more tall and skinny, but the pants are all too long. The 24 month pants are a bit long, too, but they're also a bit big in the waist.
