Mac is FF on the drivers side of my car, Hunter RF on the passenger side. In the truck Hunter is RF in the middle and mac FF on the passenger side. The truck is so high that I can't reach into the seats without standing on the side steps, it's easier to set him on the regular seat, I climb up, and then get him in his seat. For reference, I'm 5'9 so hight is not an issue, just a really high truck.
We got Hunter's 18m shots today and he barely cried, so much better then expected. He was even happy to go out for lunch after. Happily napping now, but obviously things could change. And there's no bump on his head from his chair diving this morning.
I'm at labor and delivery. My BP was 145/100 at my appointment so I'm being monitored and tested for pre e. I'm pretty sure I don't have pre-e and they will let me go, though my dr seemed to think it was 50/50 that I would be induced today since I'm already dilated to 4 cm.
I'm having some feelings because today is my due date for our first IVF cycle and loss. My h pointed out that our first baby is probably looking over this little one which then made me tear up.
sharebear05 - I'm chuckling reading the shovel planning, bc that would have been me had you not come over when you did! You saved me! Sharebears are good neighbors & lunch dates.
My sister called and asked if I could do dinner tonight just us. I am excited because we never get to spend time together sans kids. Almost all of DH's winter sports are done so he is home earlier this week. All the stars aligned and we will be having dinner tonight.
Thank you everyone! I'm still on the monitor waiting for the dr to come talk to me. My BP is coming down thank goodness, so maybe they will let me go? This is getting crazy though- there are 7 labor and delivery rooms in the hospital and I've been in 4 of them on separate occasions with no baby!
We went to a minor league basketball game for a field trip. It was a madhouse. At least 6 different school districts and multiple schools from each. Kids everywhere. It was good though, nothing too major happened and we made it back with everyone.

I didn't work today because the snow started with a vengeance as I was about to drive in. My work didn't close, and they usually don't. I can't WFH, so I made the decision to call out. I tried to go, but turned around. I feel so guilty, but I cannot risk S's and my life to go into work in a blizzard. We have at least 14 inches of snow on the ground now. I have to drop off S a few towns over every morning, and there was no way to do that safely. I slide in my SUV and there was a Subaru that went into a tree near my house. I don't know why I feel guilty, because it was the right decision. I just don't want this to go against me because I think some of my other coworkers made it in.

So W refused everything that was offered for dinner. I'm sure he'll be asking for a snack in about 30 min. Do we give in and give him a snack because he won't get that no snack is a "punishment" (I can't think of a different word, but it's not really a punishment) for not eating dinner? Do I reheat some dinner instead of a regular snack? He usually eats at least something...
@kristyw13 I usually offer yogurt and fruit if Molly doesn't eat dinner and then asks for something. I know it's probably better to offer dinner again, but it's easier to just have her eat something I know she likes.

rayann687 I called out today too. MH just measured and we got 17 inches and I was supposed to be driving in during the worst part of the storm. No thanks.

I'm possibly feeling better, thank you for the well-wishes! Currently in my third bath of the day because it's the only thing that relieves the heartburn pressure after having only liquids for 24 hours.
I did eat 4 saltines earlier. Pretty proud of that as long as they stay down.
@kristyw13 we have a "if he's hungry, he will eat what is put in front of him" policy. If he refuses to eat dinner, that is fine, but he still has to sit with us while we eat for a bit. If, after we finish, he says no to food, then that is it. He gets a little milk with his first story before bed, but other than that, he had his chance. Usually he will eventually give in and take a bite right as we are done eating and ready to clean up. Because, toddlers.
this is us 100%. My kids will be picky and won't eat. I don't give them anything else. They eventually will eat something, usually off each other's plates. Tonight dinner was some mixed veggies and half a banana. I called that a win.

@kristyw13 at this age I'd probably let him have a snack. I'd limit it to something healthy like cheese or fruit. I don't think out LOs are quite able to get the consequence of "no snack because you didn't eat dinner an hour ago". Again, I tend to follow my kids lead with eating. I'm a huge snacked and not a big meal person. I would be annoyed if I could only eat when someone else offered meals and not when I actually felt hungry.
I was going to exercise after kids went to bed then sat up with Sam as he coughed for 40 mins. So instead I'm eating ice cream on the couch. Boo Sam. Boo.

Ice cream is always better than working out. I hope sam is okay.
lovemyirishtwins, My oldest tends to be super mean when HE isn't getting enough attention. If you think that might be why, try to add in a little one-on-one time. The hour I spend doing schooling with my son is such a huge deal in our family dynamic because it's his special time. Now that DS2 is older, he is getting some of that, too.
We got out of town to a state park today. It was so nice, but I'm exhausted.
