DH, J, and I are all up way too early and I'm not sure who the villain is in all this.
I was supposed to run with a friend at 5:30 but she texted at 5:10 to cancel and it woke DH up and gave him MOTN-text rage. So that got me wide-awake and I decided to go run anyway...until DH got up and stomped around to go turn off a light (4 rooms away) that was bothering him and that woke up J.
So now I'm nursing J in running clothes and I can practically hear DH angrily not sleeping in the next room.
Maybe I should just sleep on the couch when I'm waking up early to workout. DH is such a Princess and the Pea about his sleeping.
Aaaaaand I'm pretty sure I'm the villain this time.
I decided to pop J in the car and run out and pick up breakfast because we had time to kill and I didn't want to bang around in the kitchen while DH was still trying to rage-sleep.
And as soon as we got in the car, a thunderstorm hit out of nowhere. So maybe if I had checked the weather yesterday before making plans, I could have prevented this mess.
Oh well. Hot breakfast cooked by someone else FTW!
What I've learned from your story ncjulia12 is to not try to go running at 5am.
I have a training today. It sounds super windy and we were supposed to get a good little bit of snow last night. I can't tell what's going on through my bedroom window.
I hate airports. But good news AA came through and rerouted us so we could go through a southern city instead of philly (which got canceled because of snow). So at least I didn't have to do the work.

Started off with Hunter diving head first off a dining chair, fortunately no mark so far and he was back to happy within a couple minutes. Cereal makes everything better apparently.
It's 18m appointment day. I'm nervous for after the appointment since I'm sure it will be a rough night, but either way we'll survive. I see lots of books, movies, and snuggles on the couch in our future.

We didn't get as much snow as we were suppose to either shawnabm1320. It is still pretty out but it only like an inch or so of snow.
DS is killing me today. He spillled his milk all over the carpet. He does this often. This morning it was half way up our wall in our dining room. Seriously why!

In an effort to be healthier I made my first smoothie in years for breakfast. It wasnt the greatest, but packed with lots of healthy thingies. A dry heaved when she tasted it. I used plain greek yogurt and I think it made it too tart. We'll see what I can concoct tomorrow morning!
@traceyos, I'm legit terrified for what A's carseat holds. I should probably clean it out soon too.
Related, where do you guys have your carseats? My manual never suggested anywhere specific so A has been in the middle back seat since I read that was the safest. It's a huge PITA now because shes taller and heavier, so we'll probably move to behind the driver seat. Is that the norm?
Snow day here! And DH got stuck here because of weather so we are all hanging out in the basement with toys and books and screens while contractors are upstairs. Let's see how long we last before we go crazy. Also, at what point do I start shoveling? 2"? 3"? 5+?
How heavy is the snow? Fluffy snow, wait a while. Wet snow? Go out every 2-3 hours depending on accumulation. Do not have a heart attack. Much better to shovel several times than once at the end.
Also if it's heavy, shake your trees so limbs don't break off.

Elena's always been behind the passenger. New baby will likely be behind the driver. Middle is safest but I cannot get in even our new car and wrestle her into the seat in the middle.
sharebear05 on a FB babywearing group I'm on they always say if you wouldn't do something while holding your baby in your arms (e.g., riding a bike) then you shouldn't do it while babywearing. And yes I have seen multiple people ask about babywearing while riding a bike! But if it's not very heavy snow and you won't be working that hard I would probably put E on my back and go to it. YMMV.
I've been up all night with diarrhea and have now puked twice - I guess ginger ale is a no. I think it's food poisoning, even though Elena was ill earlier this week - she never had the trots. I'm the lucky one there.
My husband is solo parenting, though. He's the best.

Today is my grandpa's 100th birthday! It is so crazy to think about all that he has lived through. He still lives at home, though my uncle lives with him now. He is able to take care care of himself for the most part. He was a farmer his entire life and still likes to drive a golf cart around the farm and check on things and feed the fish in his pond. We're having a big party for him on Sunday.
Four February babies were born last night. What?!??
I just was talking to one of our store managers about an issue they were having and I asked her to send me a screen shot. She took a picture of her computer with her iPhone and emailed it me. I cannot stop laughing.
Today I have my last OB appointment as a pregnant person ever! This is nuts. Everyone stay safe and warm in the snow!!!!

R is behind the passenger seat because I'm so tall, I have to have the driver's seat pushed back as far as it can go, and there's not enough room for the carseat. I'm also too tall to fold myself in half to get him in/out of the middle. Sorry, R.
MH did an Act of Service for me yesterday that was so sweet. My car is still pretty new, but I had a few scrapes on the side because of dumb things, and he went and got it buffed out for me. My car looks brand new again!
He scraped up the side of my old car and always said he would get it buffed out and he NEVER DID and I was always so annoyed about it. When I got home yesterday, after we had driven each other's cars all day because of car seat issues, he said he scraped my car AGAIN while he was running errands and said "I'll get it fixed." I yelled "THAT'S WHAT YOU SAID LAST TIME AND YOU NEVER DID" as I ran outside to check out the added damage to my already dinged up car...and I found it looking good as new! It was really thoughtful and sweet and I just had to share because I feel like I've been complaining about MH a lot lately.

Has anyone with older kids had to deal with one of your children going through a mean phase?
Dd1 is being very mean recently. She purposely does things to her brother and cousins to make them upset or hurt their feelings. She tends to be a leader when we are in group settings and will easily leave others out. It has been going on about a month now. Ds is very sensitive and she knows she can easily get to him.
We have tried talking to her. We have asked her how she feels when she makes him cry. We have tried time outs, talking things away or losing privileges if she is mean. We have tried to give her special attention thinking that would help. Nothing is working.
Last night in the bath she threw a toy at him and hit him in the head. We took her from the bath and separated them immediately. DH took her and talked to her about her choice. She then had to go to bed while the rest of us were up doing things for a while.
I just want to nip this behavior now before this becomes more of a problem.
