1. A veterinarian! My dream would be to own a large piece of land where I could take in all the stray cats so they could have a safe and healthy home and I'd take care of them and snuggle them all day. Yes, I'm a crazy cat lady. #noshame
2. My mom and I used to have a lazy Saturday every now and then where we'd make a tray of food with cheese and crackers and chips and dips and have a movie marathon and the movies had to relate somehow (same actor in them all or something like that). I loved those days so much and hope to do something similar with my kid(s).
3. I curse like a sailor and 'fuck' is my favorite. I'm sure I'll watch my mouth a bit more as Baby S gets older and starts learning words.

@wicky Thanks for posting this! I need to enlist you for help with the GTKY portion of the weekly checkin each week. I always have trouble thinking them up. These are good questions!
1. What would be your dream job if you could instantly change (with the proper knowledge instantly added in your brain as well)? An embryologist that only works regular hours, weekdays 9-5.
2. What is one thing about your childhood you would either like to continue or would change doing with your children? We didn't do this growing up, but I would like to celebrate the equinoxes and solstices
3. Do you swear/curse/cuss and what is your favorite or most used word? Will to cut back or stop when your child is born or gets older? I don't swear much unless I'm really upset and then its the regular slew of swear words. Ill stop.
4. What would be the funniest thing to fill a piñata with? Spiders. No haha, that would be horrifying. Embarrassing pictures would be fun.
1) Not sure. Not to sound gushy but being a SAHM has always been my dream and I get to do that now.
2) My family growing up was always very family oriented even with extended family. My Dad's side is pretty close. That's something I would like to continue, and I'm pretty sure we will with my side. DH's side isn't very close.
3) Not really. If I do swear, I feel guilty immediately. I always joke with DH while in labor with, "Man I want to swear!" He always tells me to go ahead and do it.
meerkatmillie do we have specific days for GTKY? I couldn't remember so hopefully I didn't overstep!! I just knew it had been awhile and the week seemed to be dragging 😊
Oh no no.. I just meant on the general weekly checkin I post on Saturdays. I try to add a GTKY / QOTW there but always have trouble thinking of one. You're not overstepping at all
1. What would be your dream job if you could instantly change (with the proper knowledge instantly added in your brain as well)? I'm lame, and I have no idea what I want to do when I grow up, or what I could do if I could do anything.
2. What is one thing about your childhood you would either like to continue or would change doing with your children? We were always close to our cousins when we were little. I would like my kids to be the same.
3. Do you swear/curse/cuss and what is your favorite or most used word? Will to cut back or stop when your child is born or gets older? I do curse. Fuck is probably the one I use the most. I haven't cleaned up my mouth nearly enough since having my son. I guess that's one good thing about him having a speech delay- he hasn't repeated any yet.
4. What would be the funniest thing to fill a piñata with? Glitter
1. What would be your dream job if you could instantly change (with the proper knowledge instantly added in your brain as well)? I would like to refinish old furniture and sell them in a little shop.
2. What is one thing about your childhood you would either like to continue or would change doing with your children? Continue- going to camp and having the opportunity to explore any of their interests/hobbies Change- more stability, better homelife. Cleaner home.
3. Do you swear/curse/cuss and what is your favorite or most used word? Will to cut back or stop when your child is born or gets older? Yes, all of the time. F*CK, probably. SH^T too. I haven't cut back so far. My kids know not to repeat anything I say (for now).
4. What would be the funniest thing to fill a piñata with? In college we did one with nips.
1. What would be your dream job if you could instantly change (with the proper knowledge instantly added in your brain as well)? Run a horse farm, teach little kid lessons, and rehab rescue horses to use in the program.
2. What is one thing about your childhood you would either like to continue or would change doing with your children? My parents did lots of awesome stuff, I have no idea how they found the time. One was that there was a "monster" that left me projects to do, they ranged from creative things to research-type things, and when I completed some number of them from each packet, I'd leave them and the monster would come, leave a little gift (and feedback on my projects) and then a new packet. We lived in the middle or nowhere with no closeby friends, no cable, so it kept me entertained and I loved getting the notes from the monster (and searching for clues that he was real).
3. Do you swear/curse/cuss and what is your favorite or most used word? Will to cut back or stop when your child is born or gets older? Yes, I have a terrible mouth...I have to rein it in, eventually...
4. What would be the funniest thing to fill a piñata with? For my friend's 21st bday we filled a Barbie piñata with nips and condoms and g-strings, garters, etc...we were living abroad and the party was mixed with some local friends (who mostly didn't speak English) and some of us friends from college and she was pretty low key; her face turned so red as the condoms and such came cascading out, ha!
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). 1. My dream job would be an astronaut. I have always had a fascination with the stars and other planets (other galaxies, etc). Of course, not only would I need proper brain knowledge, I'd also need to be able to handle the intense physical demands of being an astronaut. Haha! But how cool would it be to go to the moon... or Mars?!
2. I was so close with my little brother when we were kids. We were best friends. As we got older, we drifted apart a bit after I moved away from home. However, having a little brother was definitely one of the best parts of my childhood, so I'm excited DD will soon have a younger sibling. I hope she and baby develop that bond my brother and I had.
3. I don't swear that much, actually. When I do, it's usually under my breath and to myself. I've spent my whole young-adult (HS and college) and adult life working with kids, so I guess I cut back a long time ago. DH has cut back, though, since DD has been around.
4. Funniest? Let's fill a piñata with tiny piñatas. When you break open the tiny piñatas, they're filled with sprinkles.

1. What would be your dream job if you could instantly change (with the proper knowledge instantly added in your brain as well)? Dolphin trainer!! My dad convinced me not to go that route because I "wouldn't make any money."
2. What is one thing about your childhood you would either like to continue or would change doing with your children? I really want to find a good church and make it a regular weekly routine. We never went to church regularly when I was growing up, only on holidays when we were visiting family. I'd also like to cook and bake with my daughter. My mom never taught me how to cook and I always wanted to learn. I ended up learning from my ex-MIL, actually!
3. Do you swear/curse/cuss and what is your favorite or most used word? Will to cut back or stop when your child is born or gets older? I work in a male-dominated industry and unfortunately curse like a sailor when I am frustrated. The f-bomb being the most frequent suspect. I have tried to cut back since our daughter is 15 months old now and we're pretty sure she said "bullshit" a couple months ago. Eek!
4. What would be the funniest thing to fill a piñata with? I was going to say condoms, but how about tampons? LOL
1. What would be your dream job if you could instantly change (with the proper knowledge instantly added in your brain as well)? Teacher assistant. I want to work with the kids and not have to write IEP's, deal with parents, endless paperwork, etc.
2. What is one thing about your childhood you would either like to continue or would change doing with your children? My Mom always made a huge deal about Christmas and even though we were poor-ish and didn't get a lot of extras during the year, we always had amazing presents on Christmas.
3. Do you swear/curse/cuss and what is your favorite or most used word? Will to cut back or stop when your child is born or gets older? I curse a lot. I am pretty good about not cursing around DS. Eeeeevery once in awhile I let one fly if I'm really fired up.
4. What would be the funniest thing to fill a piñata with? I'll go with glitter too, as long as I don't have to clean it up!
2. Junk food dinners! One Sunday afternoon every now and then, we make appetizers and graze all afternoon. Some homemade, some frozen. It's SD's favorite dinner ever. And I have an entire cookbook of just apps, so we can always find something new.
Snip
I loooove the junk food dinners idea. Appetizers are my favorite. Yummmm 😋

1. Dream job: I wanted to be a pilot when I was younger. I never even considered it as a possibility and I wish I would have at least explored it a little bit. It would be awesome to be able to afford a small plane and fly ourselves places.
2. Childhood tradition: Our grandparents lived close by and we saw them all the time and I had/have a very special relationship with all of them. It breaks my heart that my kids won't know my Dad and that my Mom lives an hour away. But I want them to see all of their living grandparents as much as possible. Related tidbit: My grandpa turned 100 yesterday and we're having a big party for him on Sunday!
3. Do you swear/curse/cuss? I do not and I never have. DH has cut back at home since DS was born, but I know they fly out of his mouth on the football field.
4. What would be the funniest thing to fill a piñata with? It would be kind of funny if it was empty and to watch the reaction on everyone's faces. Would not do this to kids, though. I'd like if it was full of dark chocolates. DNW a glitter filled piñata!!
1. What would be your dream job if you could instantly change (with the proper knowledge instantly added in your brain as well)?
What I did in Hawaii but get paid lol. I ran prenatal groups, breastfeeding groups, new moms groups, taught baby bootcamp. I loved it and would do it in a heartbeat.
2. What is one thing about your childhood you would either like to continue or would change doing with your children?
My children shall go to Disney World at least once, because I wanna go and I really hope they do band in school. Band awarded me a lot of opportunities and I hope they get to do something like that.
3. Do you swear/curse/cuss and what is your favorite or most used word? Will to cut back or stop when your child is born or gets older? Yes and Fuck and I need to work on this K is four and a half....
4. What would be the funniest thing to fill a piñata with?
Condoms at a baby shower... Oooo my bil has a diaper keg coming up that would be funny

1. What would be your dream job if you could instantly change (with the proper knowledge instantly added in your brain as well)?
I would love to just run my Etsy shop for a living - make pretty clothes for kids and bibs and fun things.
2. What is one thing about your childhood you would either like to continue or would change doing with your children?
Our Christmas traditions were the best growing up. We weren't close with any family so we had little things that made Christmas special. Even though I am close with my sister and my parents I want Christmas morning to be what it was for me growing up
3. Do you swear/curse/cuss and what is your favorite or most used word? Will to cut back or stop when your child is born or gets older?
So much. I have caught myself at work so many times swearing, thank goodness most of our patients are sedated. I try to cut back, but it's so hard. I say fuck and shit way more than I should.
4. What would be the funniest thing to fill a piñata with?
1. I have always want to be a SAHM. I lived with my aunt for a while growing up and she was such an inspiration. She had 10 kids, always had a clean house and the most amazing meals ready. I have no idea how she does/ did it but I always strive to be at least half as amazing as she is.
2. I love traditions. Almost every Holliday I have something I do special with my kids that they always know and expect. I always always went camping with my family and would love to do that every year with my kiddos. Get them disconnected and out in nature.
3. I swear. I try not to do it as much as I used to. (I was really bad) but my kiddos also know what words are and are not appropriate. They have said shit but learned fast not to repeat. The funny thing is they would slip and say it then when I asked what they said they correct it with the appropriate word. They know. Lol
4. I loved who said the bouncy balls, I can just picture kids running chasing all the balls. So funny!
