1. How has the week gone? Did you hit your goals? Were there any challenges? 2. What is your goal for the next week? 3. Any non-scale victories? Bonus: what has been the most valuable lesson you've learned during a lifestyle change?

1. My goal was to not overdo it. I overdid it last Saturday but in relation to sickness and not pregnancy. Maybe it was both I don't know. I've done a decent job taking it easy this week so I can get over this bronchitis before the baby arrives. 2. Stay pregnant. 3. I've done really well at drinking all the water. Bonus: I think the biggest thing I've learned is that your diet plays such a huge role. I never believed how much it mattered until I did a Whole30 and had a stress fracture so I wasn't able to exercise. I lost 5 pounds during the 25 days we did it and it was 100% due to diet.
1. My goal was to run 3 times this week and add in strength training. Well I got had drill this past weekend and was sick yesterday. I actually took a personal day yesterday and was glad I did. I feel so much better today. I ran twice but not on my normal run days because I skipped Monday. I was so tired. I still have to run Saturday to get my third run in.
2. I really need to add in my strength training and keep to the diet. I meal planned yesterday with my day off so I have to go grocery shopping Saturday. DH will be out of town next week so It will be easier to eat right but harder to work out.
3. I put on my jeans today and my muffin top is significantly smaller. I don't weigh myself because it makes me sad.
Bonus: The more water you drink the better you feel also the less you eat. Sometimes stomach issues are directly related to your diet. Since I have cleaned it up everything in that department has gotten better, but when I slip it reverts back to before.
1. How has the week gone? Did you hit your goals? Were there any challenges? Ehh. I will get in all my workouts and I have been doing so much better with my water intake. However, I fell off the nutrition wagon last weekend while I was at my parents so I have been playing catch up all week. 2. What is your goal for the next week? I started doing my fitness pal this week again so my goal is to track my food intake every day. 3. Any non-scale victories? I ran 5 miles yesterday in 40 minutes which is a personal best for me. Bonus: what has been the most valuable lesson you've learned during a lifestyle change? It is a marathon, not a sprint so small changes made consistently over time really add up.

1. How has the week gone? Did you hit your goals? Were there any challenges?
I signed up for online coaching through WW this past week. I just needed to do something to get my mind wrapped around eating right. The coach I found does triathlons and it was great to talk to someone who is doing that eating plan but working out a lot - more than me actually.
I ate well this week. I don't know if it will show on the scale b/c I didn't eat very well every day. But I did much better nutrition wise than I normally did. She set me the simple goal of tracking what I eat this week and I did that and felt good about it.
2. What is your goal for the next week?
Hunger is still an issue b/c of how much I work out. So I want to start getting better at eating foods that are filling and wholesome.
3. Any non-scale victories?
I signed up for my first triathlon of the season - a short super sprint at the beginning of April. Here I come!
Bonus: what has been the most valuable lesson you've learned during a lifestyle change?
If you start small and then persist, you really can build up to big things. That's been my very most valuable lesson. Also I have learned that beginnings suck and you should never compare your beginning to someone's middle.
I will also second erinshelley21,in that I also learned a long time ago that you cannot out run your fork. I have lost so much weight in the past when working out zero.
To me, it's actually quite definitely easier to loose weight with just diet changes and zero exercise than loosing weight while working out (especially if you work out a lot). Working out is important for health reasons (and quite definitely so), but not for weight loss.
1. Awesome week - I ran Sunday and Tuesday, boxed Monday and Wednesday and ran after boxing both times (just a mile but I figure if I run three ten minute miles a week that means it will get easier and I can build cardio fitness that way?) I'm headed to box this morning.
2. Same goal for next week but NO batting clean up for the kids after meals. Last night I had a salad (at a wing place that has amazing nachos). Then I ate all of DS' tater tots WTF.
3. I am doing this - slamming fitness into my schedule.
Bonus - relates to the last thing. I've made my peace with hair in a ponytail and workout clothes. I usually am in a dress or tunic and leggings - dressed. Easing off of that has made it way easier to fit working out in.
1. Workouts done, eating has been not terrible! 2. 6 days of workouts, including 2 runs + yoga next week (trying to fit it all in before Disneyland over the rainy weekend) 3. I only ate 3 girl scout cookies and not the whole box last night. Bonus: That moderation is the answer for me - I can't eliminate things completely, but I can mostly eliminate them, or reduce significantly.
1. How has the week gone? Did you hit your goals? Were there any challenges? This week was tough, but I hit my goals. I was aiming for 5 workouts, but was on track for 6. Everyone woke up last night. DD2 couldn't find her socks, and DD1 was puking. She had strep last week, hasn't even finished her abx, and now the stomach bug. I haven't been sleeping enough in general, and last night killed me. 2. What is your goal for the next week? My goal next week is to survive. DH is gone all week. If I have one pukey kid, I'm certain that very shortly, I will have 2. We had a blizzard yesterday, and we're expecting more snow tonight, Sunday into Monday, and Wednesday. So I'll be the pukey person snowblowing the driveway while DH is in the Carribean for work. 3. Any non-scale victories? I did not eat an entire table of tasty mexican food at a work function. I count that as a win. Bonus: what has been the most valuable lesson you've learned during a lifestyle change? That I can eat some tasty things as long as I keep the portions under control. Also, I feel much better when I work out.
1. How has the week gone? Did you hit your goals? Were there any challenges? Not great. No workouts at all. Still in lots of lower back pain. Chiro thinks I may have a pinched nerve. Thanks to work being crazy I'm constantly on my feet moving around the office 2. What is your goal for the next week? I want to get at least 2 workouts in. Plus cutting out the snacking at work meaning I need more filling breakfast and lunch. 3. Any non-scale victories? No Bonus: what has been the most valuable lesson you've learned during a lifestyle change? I've just recently realized that the days of me being able to eat whatever I want and no working out is long gone. I'm going to be 34 in a week and have no idea how to work out.

1. I had a lovely week. Though inn terms of this check-in, I failed. I had one goal. ONE. I as going to do some light stretching. I did not do that. Not once. I didn't even leave the house to take a walk when it was GORGEOUS out. I did however, leave the house and moved around a little bit yesterday. When it was snowing.
2. Next week I want to stretch. For real. And I want to go to a yoga class and modify the hell out of it. It's less about going to YOGA and more about GETTING to yoga. The logistics of leaving the baby, understanding my boobs, etc.
3. NSV - hmm, not that I can think of.
Bonus: Lifestyle changes are no joke. They are HARD. It's so easy to "cheat, just once" and slip back into old habits. Whether it's smoking, eating junk, saying "tomorrow" to exercise. The mental side of the changes are way more difficult than the physical.

kimberlyb, i found that tracking my food intake on my fitness pal was so helpful. I wasn't looking to lose weight at the time, just to be mindful of my eating. It's very eye-opening! I synced it up to my fitbit for a while, too.
mustardseed2007, "you cannot outrun your fork" is going to be my motto, once I'm finished with nursing!
2chatter, two things. 1) we are opposites. I'm always wearing workout clothes... sometimes I STILL need to convince myself to go workout! and 2) Where are your kiddos when you're working out and your H is travelling? Usually with a sitter? I'm going to need to start figuring out such logistics. I'm hoping MIL will want to hang out with my kids all the time...
