DD only screamed in her sleep twice last night! Improvements. And luckily it was early on before I was trying to sleep, so I actually got a little sleep last night. So nice to not be dead tired in the morning.
At work. DC had a two hour delay due to the snow storm so MH brought her in as I've been missing so much work lately due to sickness. He seemed to do okay.
Trying to get through these next few days as I'm off Thursday-Monday (have to work a few hours on Sunday though) for Presidents' Day weekend.
I'm not going anywhere at all those days as I'm going to start the three day potty training with DD. Hold me. Anyone do this before? Maybe I should start a thread.

AF showed her fug face so I feel like poop. Been being a bum & writing an email back to DS' dev pedi. Have you ever heard of a freaking doc that actually emails you back?! It may take her a few days but she usually does. I love her. OMG.

Hope you ladies have a great day! ☺️
we did a modified version of this method when we potty trained DS. Wasn't too bad because we believe he was honestly ready. GL!

Thanks! What did you do specifically if you don't mind sharing? So far with no real training she has peed 4 times and pooped once on the potty. Do I just throw her in underware and take her every half hour? I have a book but haven't read it yet. I should probably get on that ASAP lol! Thanks so much! ☺️
I'm hoping it helps as her private education all depends if she is "fully independent in the bathroom" by September 😩

mena yea, pretty much. We kept him in underwear & gave him lots to drink. Took him to the bathroom every 30 or 45 minutes, I forget. Also encouraged him to go on his own if he needed to. The 3 day method says to do it at night as well, we didn't. We saved night time training for later. We did potty training for preschool reasons as well & wanted to keep it easy for him so kept him in pullups at night. Worried about that later.
Thanks so much namastebiotches & @threegiraffes I'm hoping this works or at least starts some process. FX. She is so stubborn though. I really don't want to push it and will back off if this blows up in my face but would really love it if she started at this preschool in September. Thinking of still doing pull-ups for night and nap as sleeping in underware terrifies me with the possible mess! Thanks again! ☺️
Hi all. Man, DS was driving me nuts this weekend. I am glad to be at work today. It's quiet, no one is touching me, I can go to the bathroom by myself. Luxury.

Is it horrible of me to just wait until next week to take DD back to the doctor? She already has an appointment next week with her doctor and if I take her in this week it'll be with a random doctor. She's acting fine, just clingy. And she's not dehydrated. But she's still not having three wet diapers a day. I guess I just don't know how big of a deal that is. Like, how urgent is that? She finished her antibiotics a week ago for the UTI and her diarrhea stopped on Wednesday or so. She's still eating and drinking plenty and she's not lethargic or anything.
Ugh. Blake doesn't think it's a big deal. I think there's something wrong. But I have no idea what to do. Halp!

When you guys were having a ton of snow we just had maybe an inch or two. Then the day after it was warm & it all melted. Then it rained. & rained some more. Our backyard has been a muddy mess all winter long. It's been a major pain every time the dog comes back inside. Ugh
This @led and if you do go in try to request her regular doctor. I did this before as I didnt like one of the pedi's there and they were able to get her in with her regular pedi. If you think something is wrong go with your gut. I would at least call! FX keep us posted!
I don't think that's horrible @led, calling the nurses line to confer sounds like a good idea if you're feeling iffy about it. I am no medical expert, but eating and drinking and just being clingy , not lethargic sound like she's still a bit under the weather, but not alarming.
Long story short, I agree with namastebiotches, try and check in with the nurses to see how big of a deal those three diapers are.
There is. I haven't called because I'm pretty sure they'll want me to come in because they always do. But fitting in another doctors appointment this week is going to be tricky.
I guess I just needed to hear that I should suck it up and take her in. Lol

Did the doc give you guidelines re: what to look for and when to bring her back in? I think I'd be feeling wishy washy too in your situation.

Not really. They all just seemed to think the antibiotics would clear it up and then that once the diarrhea speed she would pee normally again. Even through my insisting that she wasn't peeing enough. Though the last person we saw was the shitty NP at the ER and she was completely useless.
I sent an email to my doctor. I should hear something back before tomorrow.
MOTY here. Apparently it was the Valentines Day party st DC and I didn't bring anything (she only went one day last week due to her being sick so I must have missed this) Womp womp. Oh and she got a few Valentines in her cubby?! I didn't think they did them at 2.5 😩

Eh, does she even realize she missed out somehow? We definitely didn't do valentines at DC when DS was that little. This year (at age 4) though, oof, it's a whole big thing.

I really doubt she noticed. I tried explaining what the Valentines she got were but she just kept saying "no Paw Patrol!" lol so I don't think she really cared thankfully.
Aaaand we had a poop and pee on the potty just now! 🎉🎉🎉 And we didn't even have to prompt her she just told us she had to go! Last night she also told us she had to poop and did it on the potty! Feeling hopeful about really starting to train on Thursday! 😁😁😁
DDs doctor isn't in the office today, but the PA said waiting until next week was fine but to let her know if she still isn't peeing in the next 48 hours. Which I feel like of course she's not going to be peeing by then because something is clearly wrong. But whatever. If they're not concerned...

DS randomly told us at dinner that he apparently got in trouble for talking at the end of lunch today (?)& the monitor said him & some other kids were getting 10 minutes off recess tomorrow. He started bawling & saying he didn't want to go to school & did it again at bedtime just now. Dh & I both agree this seems pretty damn excessive. Recess is only 20-25 minutes long. This is his first time ever getting in trouble. You're gonna make him miss practically half of recess? AND tomorrow is gonna be almost 50 degrees so it's definitely gonna be outside. We talked about me going to talk to the principal tomorrow morning but damn I hate talking to people lol
namastebiotches good luck tomorrow. I also hate having to talk to people. Hopefully you're just not getting the whole story from your ds because that seems excessive for talking at lunch. Good luck.
