I've been up since 4:20am. That's when lil miss woke up for her boob snack. And since the entire family snores (cat too), I can't fall back to sleep. Extra coffee!

@ceci8876, early morning wake ups are the worst!
M's cough is so loose and it sounds awful. It's what's left from her cold. We are going away on vacation soon and I'm nervous that it's going to turn into something else. No fever so far and she's breathing fine. I hate anxiety!
I woke up way too many times last night, for no apparent reason. It's raining and absolutely nowhere near leatting up. I hate dropping the boys off in the rain. Even better, they have ice cream sundae parties today and won't get to run off the sugar high outside. Fun.
Good morning! I'm putting my hours in today at the clinic. I'm also supposed to have a staff meeting this evening. I'm a little salty that it's on Valentine's Day. I might just skip it so I can hang with the fam. I dont have gifts for anyone . I'm starting to feel guilty because I'm seeing all of these cute things online that people have been doing for their kids.

I'm being pulled to the floor today at work and not happy about it. Now I have to get the boys out of the house and to the sitter by 7. And I have to go into work an extra day latsr this week since this is my second office day pulled to the floor so med orders haven't been done for the month/quarter. I hate when this happens.
H has his interview this morning and I'm definitely more nervous than he is. I really just want him to get this. It's his first interview in about 9 years, second ever grown up job interview, so I'm sure he's scared on the inside but won't say it.
Busy and fun weekend for us with family in town. I can't believe I missed so much here. Congrats to EmMilAlly and kristhegirl!!
My boss is really wearing me down. I wish I could quit, but we are on my insurance and are covered for IVF this year. I feel stuck.
H has his quarterly scan this week and I have our appointment with the fertility clinic. H is supposed to go too, but can't take off work. I'm hoping they'll just go ahead with just me there.
I came upstairs this morning after grabbing some breakfast and my husband was hiding behind the bedroom door, he popped out super creepily and wished me a happy Valentine's Day in an equally creepy voice. Sometimes I wonder about him.
It's actually fairly mild out (lots of snow though) and I had a decent sleep and I'm in a pretty darn happy mood. Next week is only a 3 day work week for me so I see a light at the end of the tunnel.
It's mostly just another day here too. I didn't do anything for the boys. They have Valentine's Day parties at school/daycare today, so that will be more than enough. DH works today, but this morning left me a nice card, some new lip balm since the dog ate my other one, and some cupcakes. I was nice and shared the mini cupcakes with the boys for breakfast. That's it. I'm not looking forward to the sugar rush they will all be on tonight. Lord, help me!

lonegalathome - post the recipe! That sounds yummy!!! I wish my kids school didn't do candy and treats. They certainly don't need it. But they always do the parties at the end of the day/after lunch so they are good and hyped up to go home. :/
I forgot to say anything to hubs ths morning about Valentine's Day. We kiss goodbye and say I love you everyday, so eh. Plus he got some lovin in the shower yesterday, he's good. There is no gift requirement for the children on Valentine's Day- that's for bored people with bored money!
My husband surprised me this morning with roses, candy and a sweet card. This is very unlike him. I suspect it's from our 5 love languages talk, but will totally take it! It made my day However, I didnt plan on getting him anything. I usually get him a card for little holidays, but decided against it this year. So, alas, I found myself with all the other husbands in the barren card aisle at the grocery store this morning. Of course the one year I decide not to do a card! haha.
I dont see what's wrong with getting your kid a gift. It's just a fun little holiday. A got a book, a curious George tshirt that she wore to school today and some mini larabars (out of the big box for me ) She had no idea what was going on, but whateva, she's adorable.
I get the boys a book and a card for V-day. I was all over the books this year. LO got the Bob Marley One Love board book. DS got Harry Potter for us to start reading together. But I forgot to get them cards so the on-hand tacky blank-inside is what I went with. A gawdy peacock for LO and Cat in Paris for DS. LOL.
This exists?! Brb Amazon Priming it to myself ASAP!

I am most certainly not bored, but wish I had bored money!
I got up early to make the girls heart shaped pancakes. I'm still soo sleepy, but they were very excited.
We got them each a very small gift and a chocolate. I'm making a dinner everyone enjoys- and giving H the night off from cooking. I think this concludes my Valentine activities.
H and AB are doing their volunteer shift this morning and we did make Valentine bags for the kids there. I'm jealous- wish I was there having Valentine fun instead of at work today!
JR got a card and a teddy bear from her dad and some books from me. I got chocolates and a very sweet card from H. And if you were wondering how much effort he puts into picking out cards at the store, he bought a card for a lesbian couple. It said how lucky he is to be my wife. Lol! How did he not notice that the hands on the front of the card were both very feminine?! Either way it was a nice card and the chocolates were a nice touch. We're both exhausted from our trip, so we're lying low tonight. We'll have our make-up Valentine's dinner on Friday featuring my rack of lamb and his scalloped potatoes and brussels sprouts.
Happy Tuesday! We had someone come fix our well pump yesterday so today will be full of cleaning. For Valentines day the kids each got a stuffed animal and an outfit that can be worn more than just today. I got the husband an 18 pack of full sized candy bars and a pack of 105 twizzler (thanks to amazon pantry). I may have a candy bar or two...I also bought myself a nightgown because I wanted one. Then for dinner we will have heart shaped Pizza. It's a tradition with me and my husband. We never went out on Valentines day day because I was a server, so we'd do Pizza when I got home.
Damn, ya'll are some Valentines day haters! You do you, but dont call me bored just because I like to give a tiny $5 gift to celebrate love. I do this on non holidays as well. Thx.
amch8, I love that your husband got you a card like that. Probably some much needed humor after a heavy weekend, right? Your dinner sounds AMAH-ZING and I'll need you to come to DC and cook it for me soon, k?

I'll cook for you anytime! Like when you come help me clean out my closet! It's actually a super duper easy recipe and if you buy the racks from Costco it's not that expensive, either!
I'm coming out of hibernation- 3 snow days- we got like 2 feet of snow (@ceci8876 wasn't it just enjoyable!)- sandwiching the weekend. I could barely get any time for myself with my rambunctious boys. God forbid I actually try to use my phone cause both boys think it's for them to watch youtube videos and call Elmo. If I had a nickel for every time I said the word "stop" I'd be rich.
But I lurked: kristhegirl mazel tov on your little boy. Does E just love him? EmMilAlly mazel tov on your little boy too! This is where I say I'm super jealous of your little squishes
rachydc, I'm so glad you're getting A the help she needs. Don't fret- speech therapy is fun!
I went to Dollar Tree and thought of @justinslovo- damn you Dollar Tree, your new Easter colors are so pretty and I have no need for new containers but you're just a dollar!
I joined a FB group SLPs in Politics- I love it. I wish I could make @katechristine18 an honorary SLP so you can join it. There are serious comments but this is the best and it might make you all feel better about how your children don't talk clearly: www.gq.com/story/sean-spicers-alternative-abcs
AB was mocking H's friend last night. He was parked on our sofa- drinking beer- and burping. She fake burped right after he did and just laughed hysterically. When he didn't hear her the first time, she tapped him on the arm and did it again.
Wonder if I can teach her to talk trash to others? Kidding...sorta. LOL

swarley thank you! Elena is not allowed to meet him (hospital protocol for flu season, no one under 12 in postpartum recovery) but she says "baybee" and smiles from ear to ear when we talk about Max. These kids pick up everything.
My Beachbody friend posted a picture of her heart-shaped egg white avocado toast and heart-shaped strawberries she fed her kids for breakfast. My kid asked for heart-shaped waffles like Curious George. So I used a cookie cutter on some Eggos and slapped those bad boys on the plate. #winning.
