LO has had loose BMs for the past 3 weeks now (some bordering diarreah, but most just loose). No other symptoms, eating and drinking fine. Doc said to put her on a probiotic and see if we see improvement in a week. Any other LOs taking probiotics to keep things regular and on track? I figured it certainly can't hurt. My only real concern is that some of the BMs have food in them, so I'm concerned about food digestion and nutrient absorption. I guess we'll give it the week!
I wouldnt be to concerned about food in her poop - i just read recently that its totally normally, they have a quick turn around rate (from eating to pooping) so somethings just come out the way they went in. there wasnt enough time for it to be digested. Thats why they also get hungry and need snacks every couple of hours. This should change as they get older.

We've always just used yogurt for its probiotic qualities. Even adults sometimes have whole food in their poops, poop happens. Hope your LO is feeling better soon!
DD has yogurt every day to keep her tummy happy. I do have some probiotics that I keep on hand for when she goes a couple days without a poo, but I don't give them every day or they give her diarrhea.
