Wooooo Wednesday!
I was supposed to be off today but I'm going to go in and do some work I couldn't do this week. Plus we have a mandatory meeting on narcotics/narcan. Fun stuff! It's over lunch time so I'm hoping they feed us while we're there. Lunch and learns are my favorite.
We had Chinese food last night and it was so good. We never ate out often in the city, but food is something I really miss.
H thinks his interview went well last night and I'm hoping he's right. The guy spends 3 days putting a report or something together and then comes to a decision which needs to be approved by his boss. So there's a possibility he will hear back Friday but most likely next week. I'm way too anxious and just want to know one way or another what's happening. Husband job hunting is more stressful than me job hunting.
W woke up on the wrong side of the crib, but he's going to daycare this morning for a couple hours, so hopefully he'll have fun there. I have my NT scan.

Happy Wednesday!
I came into work early and figured out a coding problem that was bothering me all night. I figured out the issue in like 5 minutes, even though I spent 2 hours on it yesterday and couldn't see the problem. Score 1 for my obsessive brain.
H has a cold and is oh-so-grumpy about it. I teach my volunteer class tonight. DNW to add onto a long day, but it will be nice to get out of the house too!
It took 20 minutes to find parking at the school today. I was about to give up and go to Panera! It shouldn't be that damn hard to get to work. C'mon Boston. It snows hard every year, figure it out!
Somehow, someway A has learned "mine" and I want to rip all of my hair out. Sometimes she'll say it in context, but lately it's just been for EVERYTHING.
I would have to say my favorite part of last night was snuggling with my family watching Trolls before bed. Then when it ended my husband and kids got up and danced around to the credit songs. It was awesome. People are seriously crazy with their kids Valentines. My daughter got candy boxes, popcorn bags, one had a toy truck, candy on just about all the cards. I gave out a card and forgot the teachers. One other mom/kid did just a card. I'm like high five, we're on the same page! Today we're just hanging out. Husband has a sorta half day. He'Ll be home by lunch but has meetings starting at 5pm. Think I'll get him to bring home lunch. Now to decide what I want...

"J" screams "mine" all the time to everything and anything and it drives me insane. I could be a cup of coffee I'm drinking. W has recently started copying her and I'm so mad about it.

Finally made a pumping bra. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.
Yesterday was a status quo day for Max, no changes on treatment. I'll get an update when I go see him at 9.
There's a new baby in there - 9lb little girl. She is SO BIG, holy cow. And whatever she's in for, it is not breathing issues. Girlfriend could be heard down the hall screaming her displeasure at being weighed and having her diaper changed.

We're getting a lot of "mine" over here as well. Also pointing at things, then pointing at his chest while saying his name in a desperate tone of voice. This typically happens when I'm trying to eat snacks... especially sweets.
BUT WHERE ARE THEY LEARNING THE WORD?! I mean, obviously for us it's daycare, right? :/ I dont think I use "mine" I usually just say "mommy's"
I'm trying to come up with a system for ipad time in my house. DS1 is wanting to play more and more. Do I just say 20min a day? OR do I do something like "after you've played outside 30 min, read for 15, and done one chore you get to play?"
I'm not looking forward to managing technology in the house with kids...

rachydc, I would eat it. But your friend needs to have it finished by today because it'll be bad tomorrow
F has thrown 3 temper tantrums in the 45 minutes we've been home from my OB appointment. He was a doll and perfectly behaved there. This stage sure keeps you on your toes...

@amc25 We joke about the seagulls frequently here.
rachydc I don't know where "J" got it since she came here knowing the word already, but W is just copying her since that is the word she uses most....like all day long...

Stressful morning. Found out I that my rental car through Thrifty only takes credit cards so I couldn't use them. Had to change reservation to Enterprise. I was fuming with Thrifty because they transferred me a million times and no one knew what they were doing. I was pissed. I definitely lost my shit on them and started crying like an idiot while two toddlers were screaming in the background. Finally the supervisor agreed to give back my money, only after he heard me say that it was to visit my grandma who is dying. Never using them again.

The plant book I picked up for Bill at the library this week is blowing my mind. Did you know that a walnut isn't a nut? It's a seed.
Also seeds: wheat, rice, and beans.
Like, what!?!!! I never realized I had such a big knowledge gap when it came to plants.
I'm attempting to make today a two nap day because I stupidly scheduled an appointment for 1pm. I woke him up an hour early and he's napping now, so hopefully it won't completely backfire. Luckily he's always been pretty easy going about schedules... famous last words?
I just got an email that my grace period for my master's degree loan is over next month. They included the monthly payment amount in the email and I think I'm going to barf. Like, I seriously think I'm going to cry. There's no way I can pay that much per month
I can do something about this payment amount, right? Please tell me I can do something about it.
Do toilet insides have expirations? I seriously feel like every toilet I've "owned" has stopped flushing properly and/or constantly runs. Am I cursed? Is replacing the insides every so often a thing?
Parts definitely get worn out. Luckily they're super easy and inexpensive to replace! If you YouTube your issue, I bet you can figure out a solution that takes less than 5 minutes to fix.

You can! If you have multiple loans you can consolidate at a lower interest rate and/or a lot of companies will allow you to make payments to based on income

Ooh, thank you. I haven't worried about anything loan-related in so long, I have been in a panic spiral since I got this email because I forget how it all works.
My NT scan went well. Now we just wait the week for the blood work.
(This next part is gross...don't say I didn't warn you.) I changed W's diaper when we got home from daycare and he has what looks like a skin tear right below the head of his penis. And there was puss coming out. So...now we're going to the pedi at 4. He is totally unbothered by it, but damn, it was gross. I'll spare you the pic I took for the Dr's office. You're welcome.
